Rooms open in 2025! Super nice lobby and bar. Gorgeous wood bar! Fine dining in back. I had a grill cheese for 11$ w fries It was worth every penny and I will come back for dinner. Employees obviously really care about this place. War Room has secret entrance... Went back for absolutely delicious salmon dinner with cubed potatoes. Shrimp appetizer and the Gold Rush adult beverage. Best dinner of the year so fat for me 5 stars

My husband and I had dinner here this evening. Our food was incredible and the presentation was beautiful. Our server, Reese, was very attentive and a delight. As it was my birthday, Reese presented me with a birthday card signed by all the service staff! Nice touch! It was our first time dining here but it certainly won’t be the last!

This place has great food. We asked if we could have cheese, tomatoes, and bread & butter pickles only on our to go order burgers and our wish was granted. We loved the firm potato buns. Excellent work chef....:)

The Fremont Public House is a beautifully restored restaurant bar. The Frontier steak sandwich, and the Riverbend chicken sandwich are both very good. This is quite a unique experience for Canon City, Worth the drive from Colorado Springs, even though for sandwiches it is more than you would typically spend. The staff was attentive and friendly. $$-$$$.

Soooooo much enjoyed treating our son visiting from out of town to an AMAZING breakfast at The 1887 Eatery today!! The atmosphere was peaceful, the serving staff so professional and attentive, and the food was so affordably priced and perfect portions for a completely enjoyable experience!! Our compliments to the chef!! Well done all!!!

My wife and I had an exceptional breakfast at the 1887 Historic Eatery this morning. The service was first class and the decor amazing. The staff is welcoming and Stan, the owner, is very personable. Absolutely great atmosphere. They've done a fantastic job on renovation. Adds a lot of class to Cañon City. Have had breakfast, lunch, dinner, and drinks. On a scale of 1-10, 10 being the highest, I'd rate breakfast as 8, lunch as 7, dinner as 4, and drinks as 9. Every time I'm there they are out of common items you would expect a fully stocked bar or restaurant to have all day, every day. And I wasn't there at busy times, or during or after big event. C'mon management, you're putting your hard-working staff into embarrassing situations! Having said that I DO recommend it with the hope that things will improve.

Went today for brunch and it was our first time. Benedict was amazing, the most delightful hollandaise sauce in town. Avocado toast was a meal in of itself. Also had the chicken fried NY strip. Everything tasted great and the staff was on point.
