We were in Santa Barbara for one night to meet up with family. I chose Hotel Santa Barbara based on reviews, price, & location. It exceeded our expectations. We were graced with a corner room. It was very spacious and the bathroom was expansive. Overall the hotel was super clean and had tasteful decor. The staff - from valet to front desk - was very friendly and informative. Location was perfect, steps away from shopping, restaurants, and the park. Next time in Santa Barbara we will definitely stay here again.
We chose this hotel because of its super-convenient location right on State Street, but what made our trip even more special was the above-and-beyond friendliness and helpfulness of Salí and the rest of the staff. They provided excellent restaurant suggestions, and when an unexpected snafu arose, they not only solved it but sent up some wine to our room (after asking if we drank wine) as a goodwill gesture for our patience! We will definitely stay here again.
Excellent location! Great experience all the way around. Friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again. Some reviews complained about the rooms being small. I didn’t think it was a problem at all. It’s a historic hotel, so the rooms aren’t going to be like a Sheraton. Very charming property. And bonus, there’s a Starbucks next door.
We had a great time staying at Hotel Santa Barbara. The price is a bit pricy but it does have a lot to offer. It's within 10-15 minutes' walk to the beach and shopping area. They also offer complimentary bike rental. It only takes 5 minutes to ride to the beach. The people there are super nice. It's our first time to visit and we are not familiar with the area. Their manager Kellie gave us a comprehensive introduction on all the places of interest in the area. The restaurants she recommended were awesome! Thanks to her, we had a such a good time! Everyone at the reception desk is super nice and friendly. The room service people are very helpful and polite as well. When I called ahead of time to figure out when we could check in, Sarai stayed on the phone with me for 15 minutes to help plan out the trip. When we arrived, she greeted me by name and asked how was our stay at another location the previous night. It just warmed our heart and made us feel welcome. We'll definitely go back again in the future!
We had a great Anniversary weekend at Hotel Santa Barbara. The front desk staff were so helpful and kind. They genuinely wanted you to have a great time. Kellie and Chris should be commended for good staff. The location was great for restaurants and shopping. We would love to return.
Hotel was easy and can’t beat the location. Room was a good size and the staff was very helpful. I also loved the historic motif. Was perfect for quick business travelMax at the valet was very helpful and made it a great experience. Will come back.
I needed an overnight trip to SB and chose The Santa Barbara Hotel. Easy check-in, room was a bit dated but nostalgic. Location Location Location! Walk your way down State Street to shops and restaurants and come back and grab a fresh baked cookie in the lobby.
Rooms are super old!
There is no outlet or a lamp near the beds, I called the front desk, and even the phone was broken,I had to call her through my mobile so she can hear me🤦♂️.
There are stains on the carpet & the bed frame.
We have almost zero reception & we couldn't even catch the wifi on the phones.
The location is great, though.
It's a Shame you are not taking care of the rooms.
Not recommended!

Staying here I write this. First, Bill (the GM) is a class act, friendly, courteous, accommodating and a professional who runs a tight ship. Second, the property itself is centrally located while still tucked away in the quiet parts of DTSB. A block

The best F45 I've been to. Class was packed with almost 50 members. All the coaches, specifically Coach Katrina, found time to motivate and challenge me through one of the best workouts I've had in months.
The staff and the owner are some of the most positive and motivating people I've ever met. Workouts are intense, but fun at the same time. You pay for a complete experience when you sign up. The instructors push you as if they are your personal train
