The location is very convenient to Univ of Illinois. When we arrived, three 20-something workers were behind the desk, but their customer service orientation was fairly low. I needed to ask questions to get any information about the stay. ||The renovated portions of the main floor are gorgeous (dining rooms, common areas), but they don't appear to be used for anything. There is absolutely nothing to do at this hotel except watch tv in your room. ||The bedding and towels were immaculately clean, but I can't say so for the carpet. The refrigerator and microwave were clean and seemed new. Our room (421) was freezing - it was 35F outside when we arrived and the heater was not on. I immediately turned it on to High Heat and High Fan, some warm air trickled out - the fan did not blow. With the trickle of heat (and a non-insulated window above the heater), the room was still cold in the morning. ||The walls are very thin, so we could (pretty continuously) hear people in the next door (and in the hallway), even though they seemed to be using "inside voices". Also, the bathroom and hall/closet were very dark... more lights please!||Overall, it was clean and comfortable enough... but set your expectations appropriately. Much potential with some more attention to detail... and (unfortunately for the owner) more investment in heaters, windows, and insulation/soundproofing.

Well I warned my family about how odd this Hotel was going to be from the pictures. Once they saw it they were sure it was haunted. Checking in went fine, our room was on the fourth floor, the hallway was freezing but the heater in our room worked well. Our room was clean and plenty of room for the three of us. There were no extras, no breakfast, no bar, and no pool...nothing but a comfortable bed to sleep in which is what we wanted. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker worked fine. We stayed for two nights and we found it odd that when we returned to our hotel late evenings no one was at the front desk. We had the do not disturb sign up so our room was never cleaned. We left early morning and again no one was at the front desk. The pricing of nearby hotels were outrageous and this one was a good price. I would book this hotel again if I was in the same situation but would try to book earlier so I would not have too.

My family stayed here because I had worked here many years ago, (1972-74) and wanted to see how it had changed. when we checked in there was 2 young ladies at the desk working on lap tops but the informed us that they did not work for the hotel. that I was to call a number posted at desk to get checked in. It was about 3:30pm and it took about 35 min. to get checked in no one else was there to check-in. we were given a room on the 2nd floor. It was very nice. carpet was old and dirty. Microwave and refridge were new and worked fine. the heater/ac did not work very well. It would turn on and run for about 5 min then shut off for about 40 min then kick back on. this was thanksgiving week and I understand that it is not a very busy time for hotel in urbana-cjhampaign, but, I did not see any other guests in hotel. On friday it started raining and got colder the heater did not work well at all and the windows leaked getting rain water all over the carpet. When we checked out on Saturday, there was noone at the desk to get a receipt or ask any questions of. I may come back but I hope a new owner will be better at running a working hotel.

This place would be a perfect hounted hotel. The lighting in the hotel is frightening, dim, dank broken, missing light bulbs, flickering to hide the filth and disrepair. The floors are uneven, there are serious health code violations. The front desk has a smoke detector dangling from wires, electrical outlets over loaded. The plug in our bathroom has a broken GFS. The toilet and tub have yellow apoxie splashed all over them. There is fabric on the walls in the bathroom, not wallpaper. Mold on the ceiling, toothpaste splashed on the walls and mirror. The bed linens were dirty, yellow stains and had black hair in it. The phone in the room is dead. I had to go to the front desk for clean linens and make my bed. The pool is empty, there are two rooms by the pool one has a snow blower (gasoline) in one, the other has two automobile (van) seats. It is so sad it was funny. This was the last room available at any hotel around. I should have slept on my daughters dorm floor. I must say the shower had plenty on hot water. I can't wait to get home and scrub this place off me. Internet to week to actually work.

Charming , in a welcome to the set of the shining kind of way. The room was clean and the appliances worked. But it still needs a bunch of work. The chandelier hang over one of the beds was connected to the ceiling by its wires only , same in the bathroom... Its a very dark hotel .||They are trying to rehab the place while saving money everywhere possible. The young lady at the front desk was wearing her winter coat , it appeared the heat was turned wayyy down. The rooms have there own wall heaters , which were more than adequate .. Bar was closed . Its connected to a mall so you can shop or grab a snack very close.. All in all I probably wont stay here again if i have choices.. The previous guest in our room must have had similar feelings because the notepad in the bedside draw had. the word REDRUM written on it, How funny is that .. Hand to God..

This historic hotel has been in Urbana for decades. It was recently refurbished and provided comfort, safety and character. The desk is manned only part of the day, but that was not a problem so I got to my room and found everything in order. ||||Currently, there is no restaurant in the hotel but it is attached to the Lincoln square mall where there is a delightful cafe (Piato) and a really good Chinese restaurant (Tang Dynasty). Within two blocks are the Courier cafe for wonderful breakfasts and the Mad Dog for craft beer, barbecue and an unique delicious burgers,

I can't review my stay at the hotel...because it never happened. I booked my room several months in advance for the Illinois Marathon. Having run this event in the past, I knew it was really important to book ahead because Champaign-Urbana is booked full for the race.||||Today, just 5 days in advance, I received a (typo-ridden) email saying, "I'm sorry to inform you that you reservation at our hotel is cancelled due to the the malfunction of our fire alarm. Nobody is allow to stay inside the building, so there isn't anyone answer the phone call. If you have any question, please email us. Sorry for this inconvenience and thank you for your understanding." Really? They can't fix the fire alarm by Friday? I'm furious. I understand that things happen, but this seems a little absurd. After some frantic searching I was able to find a room elsewhere, but I will definitely not be recommending this hotel.

The Landmark Hotel is a beautiful architectural landmark that has been well maintained. I stayed in a double queen bed room. The room is very clean and there was plenty of room to accommodate my walker. Many old buildings have a mildew sent, Not so in the Landmark! I will definately book there again.

I started going to six months ago because I heard BJJ is a good type of self defence for female bodies and good way to work out. I stayed because it is a friendly and inclusive environment which challenges me to do better and doesn’t make me feel

I've been here for lectures, poetry readings, and concerts. It's a really nice multipurpose venue. Usually has food and drink available prior to events. I must say that the steps up to the building are formidable. There must be an accessible entrance
