This hotel was the reason I booked a trip to New Orleans- and it did not disappoint. It provided such a unique experience and added so much more depth to our vacation. In order to appreciate it fully, be sure and go to the hotel website, and click on the "Explore" tab, and watch the "The Holy Ghosts" videos! These are beautifully made interviews with people who grew up in the area and either attended the school or went to church at Peter and Paul. The restaurant (Elysian) is spectacular, and the gift shop (Sunday Best) is adorable. Walkable to the French Quarter, but far enough to get some peace and quiet when you need it. There's an amazing bakery (Ayu Bakeshop) a couple of blocks away.
We loved our stay here. The property is very beautiful and well maintained. The entire staff was very friendly. It was close enough to the French Quarter to walk, but far away enough to enjoy some relation time when you needed to. Would definitely recommend!
Me and my husband got married at hotel Peter and Paul on November 25th. Along with all of our guests, we stayed at the hotel before the wedding, and me and my husband stayed longer for a mini-moon after the wedding. Our experience was overwhelmingly positive at the hotel. We were treated well by all of the staff and they always went above and beyond to accommodate us, including little gifts and handwritten notes in our rooms. Staff also gave wonderful recommendations of where to eat, as we are not locals. The rooms are clean, adorable and well decorated. Many of the rooms have bath tubs, and overall feel quite relaxing. The hotel is walkable to many places, but is far enough away from the French quarter to feel quaint and charming. All of our guests LOVED the hotel. The coffee shop/bar/restaurant attached was a hit with everyone. The food is amazing. The Store attached to the hotel was beautiful with the kindest workers. Some rooms were smaller than others, but each carried a beautiful and unique charm. A couple things to note, although they didn’t take away from our experience at all. Staying in the rectory was an often a little bit noisy because of the bar underneath, but we didn’t mind. There was also very little storage in the convent and rectory rooms. Also, because there is not a traditional lobby with seating, there was no gathering place where we could talk to guests and hang out as a family. In the schoolhouse, there is a seating area on the second floor, but we were staying in the other buildings making this not really useful for us. These were all minor things to us :) The only other con is that hotel planning staff changed twice since we began wedding planning, and the transfers weren’t always perfectly smooth. Because of this, we had issues with miscommunication, and important information not being relayed when it needed to be. While this was frustrating at times, we knew everyone on staff was trying their best to handle this transition. Overall, we had such a wonderful experience at the hotel. We would recommend it to anyone, and plan on returning for anniversaries in the future. If anyone is looking to plan a wedding, they should strongly consider HP&P, and while you are at it, think about hiring Vicki Hermens to be your planner💛
3.5 stars Overall, we had a good experience at Peter and Paul and would return, however the service left something to be desired. On more than one occasion the service was not good. There was one time a service person walked into our room unannounced at night to ask us if we are any of the room snacks. That felt intrusive and also unnecessary. Just ask hotel cleaning to check when they clean the room. The room is loud. The cleaning staff start early and because there’s tile in the hallway, the carts are extremely loud and you will be waking up at 8am, as well as hearing people in the hallway if they are speaking I also asked for an additional umbrella when it was raining and got challenged about my inquiry? And then told if I don’t return to them I’ll be charged $65 (and I wasn’t allowed to leave it in the room)? First off, your umbrella is broken. Secondly, why even say that to a guest? We didn’t have our room cleaned one day which we thought was interesting. When we asked about it, front desk brushed it off This place would be a 5/5 if management trained staff with a little more intention (there were more service complaints but thought it’d be overkill to include them all. We were only there for 4 days)
We had brunch there on Thanksgiving day. The staff was so attentive and friendly. I highly recommend the bar and unique drinks. The food was incredible, very different yet like comfort food on thanksgiving day. Next time I am in New Orleans I plan to stay in the hotel. If it is as good as the restaurant, it will.be impressive. Kerri
From check-in to check-out, the experience at Hotel Peter and Paul was phenomenal. The staff were so welcoming and friendly (they even gave me a small birthday gift!). The property itself is quite incredible and the location is both convenient and quiet. The rooms are stunning, clean, and comfortable and everyone was very accommodating to whatever we had requested throughout the stay. I highly recommend the restaurant that they have there, along with the cocktail bar (shoutout to Timothy for the awesome drinks every day!). I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this hotel stay and I can't wait to return again!
We just adored Hotel Peter & Paul. It was my first time in New Orleans and we so appreciated the hospitality and attention to detail. Beautifully appointed room, great location that makes for easy travel to Bywater and the French Quarter, and great restaurants/cafes nearby. We were already planning our next trip as we were leaving.
Stunning hotel with the best staff. Everyone we encountered was friendly and went above and beyond. Thank you for making our engagement weekend so special. Property is beautiful, clean, well-maintained and the entire aesthetic demonstrates their commitment to detail. It’s the little things: the freely available parking, the filtered water refill station, the luxurious toiletries, the robes in the rooms. Elysian Bar is on site and also a perfect spot to enjoy dinner and cocktails. Coffee shops, hair and nail salons, book store, laundromat, and market all within walking distance. Visit Iris1956 and the shop at the Convent too! We visit every year and can’t wait to be back soon!

This is the cutest hotel. Our room was a lot bigger than we initially thought it would be. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We had an issue with our TV the first night. We had plans to explore during the day and then go to dinner at night
The executive king room is amazing, like having our own apartment right in the heart of the French quarter. Very clean. Great hotel staff. Easy to walk everywhere. My only complaints would be the water pressure is non-existent, but I imagine with old
I cannot give this venue high enough praise. The venue is absolutely stunning and you can tell the owners care a lot about making it a great space. The staff was accommodating, helpful, gracious, and friendly.

Got married here and rented out all of the rooms. They were all different, charming and the perfect setting for our weekend. Great staff, easy to work with. Nothing like getting married on the front steps of The Columns in March!
