Let me start with the positives. The hotel had free parking, and gave me a place to sleep. The staff were pleasant and tried to help when approached with problems. Now the rest. They called me after 3pm to make sure I was still checking in since I paid in cash. I could not understand a word of what was being said over the phone and struggled to communicate I would be in late that evening. When we got to our room, 220, the window was cracked and sealed up with packing tape. When we entered the room it smelt overwhelmingly of bleach. At first glance it appeared clean. The toilet backing lid was cracked and sealed up with black plumbing tape. When I took a shower I noticed the drain was not working properly. Every time I showered after that I was standing in at least 3 inches of water. The sink would not drain either. The first of 4 nights there I called the front desk to have them fix the plumbing issue and the said they would have maintenance on it and the problem was never fixed. When we went to lay on the bed, it was the HARDEST bed you have ever slept on. It felt like we were laying on the floor, except the floor would have been better to sleep on. On our third night in we got up to our room door to head in for the night and when we tried to open it the security lock had bounced itself shut and locked us out. We had to ask the front desk to open the door for us and waited outside the room for around 20-30 minutes for them to unscrew it from the wall. We were out late most nights and would sleep until 10 ish in the morning when housekeeping would rapidly knock on the door waking us up. We would have put a do not disturb sign on the door, had we been given one… Overall if you need a place to sleep for a night, it’s decent. If you have to budget and ability to go somewhere else, absolutely do. I don’t recommend this hotel.

I experienced several issues during my stay at this hotel. Despite a check-in time of 3 PM, I had to wait 15-20 minutes for my room to be ready. Upon entering the room, I noticed an unpleasant odor. The shower floor had not been cleaned, as there were pubic hairs present. The sheets appeared unwashed, to the extent that I felt compelled to walk to Target to purchase a blanket for my use. I also placed a towel over the pillow. The room itself appeared very old and in need of an upgrade, which was somewhat expected given the price. However, the carpet was not vacuumed properly, and the rooms were not soundproof, allowing me to hear people walking and talking in the hallway. Additionally, the mini body wash and face wash seemed like they had been used by a previous guest and were not brand new. On a positive note, the hotel staff were nice and courteous. Overall, I regret booking this hotel and will not be booking it again.

No hotel has been as awful as this one. We found so many ants in our bed under the comforter and sheets. There were ants on the bathroom floor but it was only a couple. We informed the “night manager” of the ants, and he said he was going to check it out. He came back and said there were “barely any ants.” We asked for another room but he said that there were no rooms, and the best he could do was SPRAY RAID ANT SPRAY in our BED. When we reached out and asked for a refund, they said that they couldn’t give us one because the manager offered us another room but we didn’t take it. That is a LIE. They explicitly said they were sold out and there was nothing else we could do. This hotel is absolutely filthy and disgusting, and their staff is even worse. You’re better off sleeping in your car or even on the street.

The location was great for a 20 minute walk to the beach seemingly without many other options for hotels closer to the beach. So, location was good. There were restaurant options along Sepulveda to the North or you could walk to the beach of more options. There were a variety of fast food and very nice restaurants. The hotel itself was pretty terrible: -The courtyard appears to be an old covered up pool with 3 or 4 chairs on it. Not much inviting space to get away from the smelly room. -The Wave, their sister hotel next door had a pool but it was green and closed. They kept telling us that it would be ready the next day but after 4 days it looked worse than when it started so I don't think they were really doing anything to it. - The breakfast bar had a non working waffle maker that didn't work for all 4 days. (They did have a waffle batter dispenser) It did not look like they were ever planning to do anything to fix this. At the sister hotel next door, they had a working waffle maker but their waffle batter machine was not working. Perhaps if they moved them around they could have at least had one location where you could get some breakfast. -The room always felt damp and humid, including the carpet and sheets. This was very uncomfortable and probably added to the smell. - They brought us new towels each day but never made the beds once. -The walls had patches all over them but were not repainted. - They TV never really worked because it could never find a proper internet connection and you would need to enter your own login for any streaming service. So, they essentially provided no access to TV. -The shower looked to be in a state of being upgraded. It looked like they were going to add a shower door so there were holes drilled in the tile. It was probably getting water inside contributing to the moldy smell. -The room and bathroom smelled like enough bad things that it was difficult to tell if it was paint, mold, mildew, urine, or all of the above. -One pillow had a hole in it with stuffing coming out. -We were able to get one blanket, which also had holes in it. No other blankets were available for the remaining 3 days. -No tissues in the tissue dispenser -No soap dish or anything in the sink area for the one skinny bar of soap that was provided for 4 days. -Receptacles were so loose that power cords would not actually stay in the wall.

Thank you, Nick, for accommodating my reception. Really appreciate your help in sorting out my reservation that Expedia failed to confirm with the hotel. You were patient, kind, and courteous in helping me check in. Love the room with the wave bedspread! Comfortable bed with extra soft pillows. The room was clean. Nice hot shower! Thank you all again for accommodating me,

This hotel has a very friendly night deskman. I've checked in late at night at a few hotels and sadly the person who checks guests in "afterhours" usually has an attitude problem. Glad to report that this is an exception. The rooms are well kept, clean and decent in size. The doors to the rooms are all direct to outside, but not to a parking lot, which is much more safe and secure, as is the underground parking. I would definitely stay here again.

Positive: Location is close to the airport. Size of room and cleanliness is great. Negative: Parking was full of junk and ran out of space so had to park off site and walk. Staff woke me up earlier than I needed to be so they could return furniture then seemed annoyed I was not ready for them.

Room was very large. It had a nice wet bar with microwave, refrigerator and coffee machine. It also had a decent size desk and a sofa with coffee table. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The bathroom had a vanity completely separate from the show
