Pros: This is a 1950’s era building in a quiet and safe suburban Asian neighborhood street. No pets allowed. The hotel is next to a Asian shopping center with lots of good eats, coffee shops and a grocery store. They have nice garden patio areas. Skip the regular rooms and get a suite, it’s more updated to the 70’s. The maids were nice and accommodating. Lots of free parking. $20 room deposit!
Cons: No elevators. Very rude Asian female desk clerk, the full size room had full beds were sitting on Queen size metal frames, painful and awkward. The descriptions for the rooms are very misleading. For instance, they rooms with washer, there is no washer in the room, but there is a laundry room mostly used by the maids. “Kitchenettes” that turned out to be a small refrigerator and a coffee maker. The meager offering of breakfast is located on the second floor, skip their breakfast and go to IHOP or the Pan restaurant.
I saw the biggest roach that I’ve ever seen on my last morning. I was told that they come in sometimes from outside. I was not expecting a BUG as an extra guests. Who knows what else was hiding. Never again.
If you don’t want ur washed & cleaned clothes being knocked off on the ground or removed from where they were hanging and rewashed all over again after they nearly air dried every day, U could try to avoid the awful experience by booking other hotels in other cities.
Tissues r like truffle to the hotel. They would tell u, it's out of supply and it’s on the way. Hopefully it will be here tomorrow. Ha. It never gonna happen. Ive never seen any hotel could be as this stingy as this one in my life. I had fun every day, but it always ruined my mood once i got back and found my pricey bikinis being ruined or other cleaned clothes being removed. The maid who doesn’t know any English was the worst. She was quite rude and even laughed at guest. Their internal
communication got problems too. I had to tell them not to touch my stuff every day and prayed not to see it happening again when i got back. So pissed every night.
I’ve been traveling all my life, this was an awful experience ever! Totally an endless nightmare! Do urself a favor, look for other options out there for the pleasant travel experiences & memories.
STAY AWAY!!!.. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!! These people DO NOT answer the phone and DO NOT honor their reservations!! I checked in for 2 nights. Gasper told me he would give me a discount due to the room I wanted not being available. The next morning the Asian lady at the front desk told me i needed to check out.. I was like what!!? 😳.. My reservation was for 2 nights and was quoted at $176 total.... But to be honest being put out was a God send.. But I still had to let them know how I felt... The GASPER guy is a total liar! He said he was giving me a discount at $125 total due to the room i wanted being remodeled😕...😒. So I'm like.. Ok I'm here for personal business last minute I just need some where safe to sleep. Nice garden ok🤷🤦.. I'll try to overlook the HORRIBLE SMELL and the hard azz boxspring mattress.. Dated bathroom with pink tile flooring from the 70s and a bathtub you have to wear flip flops in😒 and that HORRIBLE FOUL MILDEW SMELL!! But let's continue...😒 The GASPER guy is the one I FINALLY got on the phone for a late check in because I knew I was going to be arriving late.. HE WAS THE ONE THAT CHECK ME IN THE NIGHT B4!! He got in front of the Asian lady and said "I did not tell you that. It was only for one night (DreamGirl) and I have not been here for 2 weeks😏... It wasn't me. You have to check out".. I was like 😳 GLOVES OFF!!😒 YOU thought I was going to pay $125 a night for this place!!!?😒.. Showed them my reservation for 2 nights and also showed them how much you can book their hotel for online currently which was $88 a night😒 AND THEY OR HE THOUGHT HE WAS GOING TO CHARGE ME $125 A NIGHT!!? I asked him was he trying to steal from the hotel because why would you try and charge me more than what my reservation said OR WHAT YOU'RE CURRENTLY CHARGING ONLINE😒 NOT only that you never sent my receipt last night but my card was charged🤔😒.. Made no sense but ME AND MY 🍷 WINE🍷 HAVE BEEN PUT OUT OF BETTER PLACES THAN THIS!!!😒 I said I would gladly go as soon as my receipt and refund hit my email and card. The receipt hit but my refund didn't...hmm🤔... Went back to the front desk and REITERATED. I am NOT leaving until I have my receipt AND REFUND have hit! FASTEST CHECK OUT EVER!!! Went back to my room which was right by the front desk and the refund was on the card b4 I got to my room...... LOCKED my card and GLADLY left... I got in at almost midnight and I had driven hours, so I stayed despite the smell. And I also had spray and my own sheets.. I forgot my bath gloves.... Towels stink as well....😭..Bring spray if you think you can endure🤕😷 your own towels and sheets as well. I was going to keep my bad decision to myself and chalk it up as a mistake made by me but when you are untruthful and not honoring reservations and try to charge me like I'm using my Hilton Honors!!!😒 I gotta tell it!🤷 Yall can do what you want🤷.....BUT YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!! It's not worth the savings.. TRUST ME!!.. But if you think you can endure..... MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU!!✊ cuz you gonna need it!😒
One can say the rooms are dated. The service is good and the location is pretty low key and away from the high traffic and nonsense. I'll say this though. If you're the water pressure loving person this is the spot. This place has the best shower water pressure around. Breakfast is muffins, toast and fruits, coffee or hot chocolate. Don't expect a banquet.
The Ceiling vent in the bathroom was very very very loud in my room.... Room 121!!! I'm pretty sure that others in there rooms heard this every time I utilized the bathroom. I had to keep the light out. This needs repairing immediately!!!
Some comments said they served Japanese breakfast bit I only had banana and muffins.
The location is good. It is right behind a Japanese and Korean plaza.
Fast and friendly. Clean and quiet. Very affordable and the gentleman at the front desk is very nice and professional.
Positive: nearby restaurants Negative: no Japanese breakfast ... unavailable for 5 years!
One of the few traditional mochi and wagashi made by a traditional Japanese family from Japan. I â¤ï¸ this place and always buy Chikara Mochi here, Tokyo Central, or at Nijiya markets.
The best powerlifting gym in LA! Iâve been coming here for a year now and I canât see myself going anywhere else. Anything you could ever need is here and the gym environment is the cherry on top. The community here is so supportive and encouragi
