Hotel O Oskaloosa - Hwy 63/92 - Featured Reviews (78)
We booked through a travel site in hopes that this would be a decent stay when we were visiting Knoxville Raceway. We asked to see a room before receiving a key. The room they showed us was unacceptable and there were several cigarette holes in the carpet. We only stayed here because they refused to give us a refund because we booked through a travel site. I would NEVER stay here again. Ever since booking this motel I am extremely careful when booking and read every review. If you are traveling with family or small children this is NOT the place for you. The reviews speak for themselves, 2.9 stars is extremely forgiving for the quality and service provided. I have never felt more unsafe or uncomfortable than I did during my stay here.
Our room had 2 beds. Very comfy by the way. Small fridge which I wasn't expecting yayy!!!! Price point for me fantastic. They allow pets also bonus.. just down the road from my mother another plus!!!! Have stayed twice in the past and will be booking soon for Nov.
Due to the reviews, we were a little scared to stay here. This is a very old motel. We met the owner and she was so nice! They are working hard to remodel all of the rooms. Our room was clean and had been partially updated. They have a microwave and a frig. The price was right!!!
Group of us came in for RAGBRAI... Manager and staff were very accommodating and made sure we were taken care of... room a/c was really good and we all got a good night's rest... we stayed earlier at way more expensive hotels that were less comfortable at night... for us this hotel was perfect for what we needed.
They chose to gouge me for more money due to a local event ( sprint car races ) . My verbal reservation wasn’t accepted so I had no room that week . Dirty floors , showers were disgusting and plaster falling off the wall . So to make an appointment extra 60$ that one week they lost out on thousands of dollars because I was working in the area for months . I was willing to deal with the terrible conditions for a cheap room . Go to the eddyville inn much nicer and not much more money .
If I could give this place a zero I would. The hotel is in deplorable shape. The lobby is a liquor store. The room's door wouldn't lock. The shower didn't work and there was no plug for the bathtub. The beds were rock hard and the rooms were cold. Honestly Oskaloosa should condemn this property.
This is the most disguising excuse for a hotel I have ever seen. We actually took a video of how awful it was because it sounds unbelievable. The sheets were dirty, the carpet hadn’t been vacuumed, there was a huge stain on the floor along with mud/ blood/ something awful spotting the wall, there was mold in the shower, the faucet leaked water, the door didn’t even fully lock! I could go on but it would take pages to describe the horrendous conditions of this place. Just save yourself the trouble (and the money) and sleep in your car.
When I got to the hotel, they said my reservation was cancelled but offered to book me at their rate, nearly double. They said it happens a lot. Felt like a scam, I left and went to another hotel. Very sketchy.
This is a MUST STOP every time we're in Oskaloosa!! We stock up on cherry nuggets, frosted molasses cookies, almond macaroons, and dutch letters. They also have little place to sit down and enjoy a cup of coffee or glass of milk with your tasty treat
We're visiting here from Milwaukee. We ran across this restaurant on a Google search and tried it out. The food is really good! We ordered the sesame chicken with crab ragoon, egg rolls and egg drop soup, and papaya Boba tea and strawberry bonds Boba
I work in this area from time to time and always make it a point to stop by this great spot. Cool atmosphere friendly staff! Wide variety of beers on tap. They had a private party going on earlier and owner made it a point to make sure I had somet
2-parter - Campground and Lake Keomah itself. Camped in the tent on an electric site. They also have non electric. The campground was pretty level, lots of space on our site (#16 in the corner). Fire ring with grates & picnic table included on all si
Edmondson Park is one of my favorite parks for many years! Though it is roughly 20 years old it's larger, more intricate, and diverse than almost any other playground our family has visited! If you're a fan of lava tag (tag where you can't touch the
