I booked this hotel because of its location, considering the fact that El Cerrito is a lot quieter compared to Oakland or San Fran, and it's a bit more cost effective to stay up that way as well. Top notch location also -- there's a fantastic restaurant across the street from the hotel and it's only a block or so away from a BART station. My room was nice, maintained wonderfully over the course of the 5 days I stayed there, and super clean. Super happy with my stay!
Positive: Was a basic hotel which was clean, easy to locate and a place to sleep. Negative: Smelled like newly painted room, noisy AC, very basic TV channel selection, continental breakfast basic vendor machine quality.
Overall the room is clean, and it’s quiet even it’s by the free way. The day time front desk service is not friendly but I don’t mind as long as I can be able to get my room pass. The night shift front desk crew is more friendly thought.
Amazing stay at this hotel. Family owned, clean, and close to lots of great food and other attractions. Also, the BART stop is close for easy access to SF.
Positive: location convenient to get BART across street, hop on freeway, or get on San Pablo to get to Berkeley. Wifi was good, big screen TV was good. Nice mini living room. heating, cooling, two sets shades (sunblock kind and light filtering) excellent. Negative: Room 213: lots of LOUD water noise predawn in this room, water main must be located in wall or somethink. Desk nice but surface bubbled up and some holes in it. Door doesn't close on it's own, actually left open by accident a number of times. Negative: ""
I am a regular visitor to this hotel. I feel at home there. Not only are accommodations clean, comfortable, conveniently located, and reasonably priced, the rooms are very generously sized. Manager Sanjay is always welcoming and caring about his guests. As always, he takes wonderful, loving care of the outdoor resident cats: Josephine and daughter Maureen, Schmoelina and daughter Jeevee, and lone wolf Druscilla. Sanjay has a terrific staff. Besides Subrat, Ishwori, and Tenzin, this time I met Sarit and Sama as well. Third floor cleaning lady Norma keeps the rooms and hallways immaculately clean every day.
My wife and I stayed 11/18/23 thru 11/25/23. The hotel is located in a retail/commercial area on Potrero Ave, between San Pablo Ave & I80, easy access for auto travel. The BART is an easy 10 minute walk and public transportation is available at the corner of Potrero and San Pablo. A 5-10 minute walk east on Potrero will take you under the BART tracks into a residential area of single & multiple family homes and other neighborhood amenities such as parks, schools and churches. There are many restaurants, Safeway grocery store with pharmacy, and other retail stores within a half mile of the hotel.||It is an older hotel. I guess 30 to 40 years old. It was probably originally a low budget hotel of one of the major chains. We stayed at a room on the first floor. All the rooms have interior access. There are no outside access to any of the rooms. The room was clean and appeared to have been recently repainted. The room was equipped with a small refrigerator and microwave. The first floor had manufactured wood throughout, including the rooms. There was no carpeting. Our room had 2 platform beds. Both were very comfortable. The rooms were surprisingly quiet considering the location. The front desk staff and the housekeeping staff were friendly and attentive. There is a small laundry room with a a washer and dryer available on the first floor. Every morning coffee and pre-packaged bakery goods were available in the lobby. The lobby was clean and comfortable.||There were several issues with the room. The most disturbing was the condition of the desk. It was completely pocked with what appeared to be cigarette burns. However there was telltale smell of cigarette smoke so, perhaps the damage was done by some other means. The exhaust vent and ceiling/heat lamp needed cleaning. Also, the control switch for the ceiling heat lamp didn't work. There were drawers available for clothing storage. However, there was no place to hang clothes. The closet did not have hangers or a hanger bar.||We would stay here again. The quality, condition, location and price was right for us.
Don't let the location steer you away from this motel. The inside is really nice and clean. The rooms are spacious and outside noise wasn't an issue. The man at the front desk was very helpful and accomplished. I really appreciate his help and, should I be in the location again, I would definitely stay here again.
We decided to try this amazing new place! @antojitos___guatemaltecos is a family owned restaurant in El Cerrito. They have been there a little over a year. It didnât disappoint. The food was delicious. Itâs clean, service is great, and friendly.
Enjoyed a fantastic meal for the price! ð Opted for the red curry special on the lunch menuâunique presentation over a bed of rice. Personally, I'd prefer the curry separate from the rice because serving it on top of the rice makes it so that th
Long overdue review. I have been a regular at Zomsa since they opened and have seen them grow. The food here is mouth watering and very close to what we actually get in Nepal. If you are here- definitely try out the Nepalese items they offer like suk
Very quaint bakery and restaurant in the hills of El Cerrito... Has that village Cafe feel. I had a burger which was excellent and my wife had a spinach and mushroom scramble... We also ordered a Detroit style pizza to go... Our servers were all exce
Very nice Japanese sushi restaurant with a cozy warm atmosphere. The restaurant is not very big and only holds a few tables but the waiting didn't take too long. We went on a Saturday night at about 8:30 closer to 9pm and it wasn't that busy. We w
One of the best fast-food restaurant for full-flavored taste and value for your dollars. I havenât ordered breakfast or any other meals in a long time, but, Iâm sure the mouthwatering taste and quantity of their menu hasnât changed. Most recent
