I called maybe 3 days before my visit to ask for an upgrade. The man who answered the phone promised that my request would be accommodated. When checking in—It wasn’t. I was pretty disappointed when seeing it was not upgraded. I wouldn’t count on their promises. He said it would be taken care of. The room we had was alright. Our main window was facing a walkway so we kept the curtains closed the entire time. However, the room was clean and nice. I was worried about some reviews saying that the rooms needed an overhaul. The bathroom shower only had one sliding door. I’ve never seen that before at a hotel. Usually it’s two doors or shower curtains—never just one door. In the brochure, it states that there are quiet hours. I wish the workers at the desk would emphasize that to all guests when checking in. Someone next door was blasting country music until 12am!! Didn’t sleep much since we had early activities to do. ***VALET CUSTOMER SERVICE*** When pulling up to the valet, we were greeted by all the three valets who were working. The main man who helped us was very knowledgeable about the area and even helped us with some dinner options. The customer service here was top tier. The nicest people on property really.

This was my second visit to Hotel Milo, and it never disappoints. It's beautifully placed directly across the street from the water, and there are so many walkable shops and places to eat. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, as are the beds. We love the gardens and little walkways on the property. The staff is stellar.

The staff at the hotel were exceptional – they were friendly, helpful, and truly made an effort to ensure guests felt welcome. Additionally, the hotel’s location is a major plus, conveniently situated and easily accessible. However, I encountered some disappointments with the room. The room I booked online showed a computer desk and a clean, well-furnished space. Upon arrival, I was surprised to find a much more basic setup, consisting only of a bed and an exceptionally small shower. When I brought this up with the front desk, I was informed that the hotel is in the process of remodeling and not all rooms include the amenities as advertised online. As someone who travels for work, a desk is an essential feature for me, and its absence impacted my stay. Moreover, the cleanliness of the room was not up to standard. I found a dried blood stain on the bed sheet and noticed that the area behind the TV was not well-maintained. Considering that the hotel appeared to be more than half empty and that there were newly renovated rooms available on my floor, it would have been appreciated if one of these updated rooms had been offered as an alternative. In summary, while the hotel benefits from an excellent staff and a great location, the discrepancies between the booking description and the actual room, coupled with cleanliness issues, were disappointing.

Great location and fairly nice pool areas but the rooms are not so great. It seems to be a crapshoot whether you get a nice room or not. Bathrooms are especially sub-par, out-dated, and rather unpleasant. I stayed here with members of my family - I had my own room and they had another room down the hall. I had chosen the property and was looking forward to sharing it with them, but then was embarrassed to find that the rooms we were given were not in good shape. Beds were OK but the general atmosphere and condition of the rooms (furniture, size, bathrooms, amenities) is old and run-down. It's clear the hotel gives very little attention to detail or to keeping things in good shape for guests. Amazing that this hotel can charge such premium prices and get away with it, but of course it's simply because of the beach-side location. I'd rather stay at a nicer property that is a few blocks from the beach and pay the same price (or less).

Great location, lots of lovely out door fireplaces with gorgeous beach views. Pet friendly with a public park onsite. Rooms were dated (particularly the bathrooms) and relatively small. Bed was quite uncomfortable. Service could be improved - the spa broke day 1 of 3 into our trip. Reported issue to hotel staff who were not particularly receptive.

Based on the reality of the quality of our accommodations and stay, it is NOT worth the money. After being told on the phone our requested room was available, then after providing my credit card info, I was told it was no longer available, but later when we checked in something similar was open, the beginning of our stay was off to a confusing start. We ended up getting a room with our desired extra bed, but it was so small, we had trouble getting in and out of the bathroom door (and we are small people!) and though it appeared clean, it had a musty smell. I under stand the buildings are older, but the vintage charm only goes so far, especially when so expensive. There was not much attention to detail. In addition to the room itself being a let-down, it's window faced a pool where there was near constant maintenance. Outside of the noise, the excess water from this created dirty puddles across the walkway, making it impossible to get to the room without walking through it. We had our white dog with us and it was a mess having to clean our own feet and her every time. It felt like we were walking through a dirty back alley. The high point of our stay was the pleasantness of the valet staff, even though they needed more support for the volume of responsibilities they had. The patio was really great and the live music was a nice touch. The location is good. My mom and I had chosen this location to travel cross-country for a relaxing and luxurious birthday. As this is one of the only times I've gotten to see her this year, it was such a disappointment that the website was so misleading to the reality.

Our favorite hotel in all of SB! Best location and best service. Love the fire pits to relax at after spending the day exploring the funk zone. We come here as often as we can and recently came for our mini moon and the staff made us feel so special. Can’t wait to come back!

Pros: Beautiful location, right on the waterfront, walking distance to restaurants shops etc (right in the middle of a good stretch of Santa Barbara), nice resort like vibe with lots of outdoor tables, chairs, with pool etc. You also get complimentary 2 hours of bike rentals with your stay (which we didn't have time to take advantage of) and the shower gel and shampoo etc were top quality and smelled great! There's also a boutique style (and price) market in their lobby at check in in case you need a toothbrush, snack etc. The large flat-screen tv, and the magazines on the nightstands were a nice touch (albeit the tv feels too big for the stand) Cons: Street parking was sparse, timed, and the valet parking felt expensive at $30/ night, (which I wish we'd known in advance) No continental breakfast (apparently the website has been updated ahead of some indended, but not yet in place amenities) Our room was on the third floor (no elevator) and while they did offer to carry our bags, for someone with a bad knee this was not ideal. Our room itself was nicely sized but very sparsely furnished (even less than in the online photos), the floor was extremely squeaky and the bathroom was dated and dingy (the sink faucet handles had created dents in the drywall). The walls were also very thin and we could clearly hear our neighbors conversations. Overall, for the price, stay somewhere else.

The best F45 I've been to. Class was packed with almost 50 members. All the coaches, specifically Coach Katrina, found time to motivate and challenge me through one of the best workouts I've had in months.
