My stay at this hotel was truly a pleasant surprise. The staff’s warmth and genuine hospitality made me feel right at home. The room, while modest, was clean and comfortable, offering everything I needed for a restful night. It’s not a luxury stay, but the charm lies in its simplicity and the care they put into every detail. I’d happily return for another stay.

We spent 3 nights at the Hotel Lotus. I was Leary after reading some of the reviews. I was pleasantly surprised and would/will stay here again. Service was great at check in. Even though we had a small bank issue not the fault of hotel bank changed names and the reservation was under on card and we checked in with new card. Who would have thought about that when we booked 3 or 4 months prior. Anyway, breakfast was nice selection. Eggs, potatoes, little pancakes machine was fun, biscuits and gravy. Bagels rolls, milk cereal great selection!! Room was clean, bed was great. It seemed like they are truly taking the negative reviews and trying to make things better. Like I said before I would for sure stay here again next visit to Kansas City. I can’t say anything good or bad about pool as we didn’t use it. The fitness center was great we used it daily. Thanks for a fun trip and relaxing nights in KC we will see you again!

I’m not sure why this place has bad reviews. Perhaps they visited during a busy or transition time, have never been to a lower-end hotel, who knows. The room was clean, comfortable, and air-conditioned. The AC was adjustable and not loud. No bugs. The pool was basic but nice. Staff were all nice. They have coffee and water out all the time and a little snack shop. Right off the interstate. Excellent price, I have paid more for dingy, loud motels in worse locations on many occasions. Lots of staff around cleaning and working on the landscaping. I didn’t have any problems and thought it was great compared to many other places I’ve stayed.

A decent room and beds are firm and comfortable enough to sleep on. Mini fridge is not cold enough. One major complaint is that this hotel is making guests eat a hot breakfast on cheap melting plastic plates which is a health hazard. Instead of cutting corners and negatively impacting our environment with all your plastic, you should be using ceramic plates and running your dishwashers once a day. 365 days of plastic is not acceptable.

Positive: I did like the ice water they offered by the front desk. Water was nice and cold. I liked that I didn't have to pay for an uber or parking to attend a couple Royals baseball games. Close to interstate for an easy on and off. Offered free breakfast & pool Negative: carpets dirty in room and hallway. Towels were rough. AC was from 1980, Lots of Jerry rigging at this hotel. Milking it for profit instead of investing in hotel. Outdated. Little TVs in room. Uncomfortable mattress. <--like bad. $50 a night would be high

Great place to stay across from Kauffman Stadium. Only a 10 minute walk. The room was clean and comfortable. The front desk staff was friendly. Free breakfast with your stay. Hot breakfast was biscuits & gravy, sausage links, home fried potatoes, eggs (powdered eggs), and a pancake maker the 2 mornings I was there. And cold breakfast was bagels, toast, danishes cereal, yogurt. Coffee and water are available all day. I'd definitely stay here again if I come to Kansas City for a game!

When you book a hotel stay, you expect a certain level of service and quality. But at this hotel, the experience was nothing short of a nightmare. From being charged for basic toiletries to a breakfast that was completely unappetizing, this place failed to deliver on even the most basic of hospitality standards. Avoid the hassle and frustration of a terrible hotel stay. Before booking, make sure to read the reviews and get the full picture of what you're signing up for. Don't let your hard-earned vacation time and money go to waste on a hotel that doesn't care about providing a pleasant experience for its guests.

Don’t ask for an extra blanket you will be told no and only get one after you insist. Don’t expect the room the room to be routinely cleaned because you will be disappointed… it won’t. You will be told that because you left a notebook on the bed, they did not want to touch your bed so it won’t be made up. They will say the bathroom isn’t dirty because you are relatively neat and left no mess. 2 people in the room and yet wiping down the toilet and floor isn’t deemed necessary. Don’t think that your passport will be accepted as identification because they will still insist upon seeing your drivers license, even though you said you don’t drive. The front desk clerk will make you wait until she gets special permission from the manager to accept your passport as id. Don’t complain because you will be ridiculed by the front desk manager. Btw…If you have a disability, just know that the toilet is so low to the floor till you will suffer trying to get off of it. The pool exists but it will be too filthy to get in and you will be told it’s under “maintenance”. Yes breakfast is included. But the potatoes and scrambled eggs are room temp, dry and tough. The bed was comfy and I got a good sleep.
