Hotel Leo - Featured Reviews (394)
The Hotel Leo has an extremely friendly and helpful staff. The bar is nice and has great bartenders. The location is excellent.||BUT it could be so much better. The biggest problem was the bed. It is a mattress on a platform with no box spring, which means it is incredibly low. Being older and with a bad knee, it was hard to get of, for example, in the middle of the night. The shower was nice and big, but lacked a grab bar. ||Our room (a suite actually), was huge, but there was no dresser, chest or storage. The furniture was stained and borderline nasty looking. I wonder if this had to do with the dogs that seemingly everyone else was bringing on premises.||Just having someone with a lick of common sense for furnishing the room would have made it so much more comfortable.||Parking is iffy, which can be forgiven to some extent in an older property. The rest not so much. I wanted to love this hotel, but the best I can do is a lukewarm "like." A box spring alone would bring up the grade.
Terrible. This hotel is so shabby. Mildew in the shower, shabby banged up furniture, ridiculously soft bed, broken tiles in the bathroom, sketchy looking couch, bathrobes have holes in them. Our first room smelled like mold and old cigarette smoke. Thankfully the staff is lovely and got us a different room. Still super sad looking but at least it didn't set off my asthma, be careful of room 309. Unfortunately the replacement room was in the parking lot side and we were woken up at 7:00 by construction. City project so that wasn't the hotel's fault. If I had paid $60 a night I'd figure I got what I paid for but this hotel isn't cheap! Rooms start at about $200 per night. So that price i expect a decent hotel. Best I can say is the location is great and so was the staff. But I definitely recommend staying elsewhere!!
The bed was comfortable, but the room wasn't as we would have expected based on the website photos. We were only there for one night and we had a nice time going out for a nice dinner at the Rock & Rye Oyster Bar, but the room wasn't up to our expectations. It was their "Historic" wing, and it was as described on the website, but the website photos made it look nicer than it was.
Beautiful old hotel in downtown Bellingham. We stayed in the older wing for classic architecture. The rooms/ bathrooms need freshening up and there was a fusty odor that was kind of depressing. These things need fixing. However there was a pool table and a library and the staff were really great. I'd stay again but hope they upkeep the original rooms better.
Great setup for exploring Bellingham. And for part of that you don't even need to leave the hotel. Beautiful lobby, downstairs bar, fun amenities like a library and pool table, board games, shuffle board and movie theatre. Hotel has been lovingly taken care of but rooms have been modernized with great finishes. Would definitely return!
Great little hotel central to everything in downtown Bellingham. Great staff, clean spacious rooms, on site parking. This place has a bar, pool table, shuffleboard and other things to keep yourself busy. Not the most budget friendly option, but what is these days, and who doesn't deserve a splurge? Would stay again.
Not what it shows online. Dead bugs in room. Room was rather dingy. Sheets didn't even fit the bed. "Closet" isn't really a closet. The only nice thing about the room, was the bathroom. We also booked and paid for an "ocean front room", and got a room that faced the street with buildings in front. When we went to the front desk to tell them, they said that was the "ocean front room" - "if you lean all the way to the right and push up against the window, you'll see a sliver of sea far out" - literally! It was insane. They also don't let you hang out in the "social lounge", which is ironic! We got kicked out at 10pm on a SATURDAY NIGHT and told it was "curfew" and to go to our rooms.
This is a very well established historic hotel in Bellingham that has been recently renovated. It definitely feels old entering in the lobby with a bunch of old framed photographs. Beyond that, all the rooms and the rest of the hotel has been recently redone. We had a nice experience and the staff were very polite. We also liked that we were able to store our bikes in the storage locker.
Stayed at the Heliotrope for 2 days from the Midwest for a work-trip and loved this cute renovated boutique motel. It is situated right in the center of 3 great neighborhoodâs to explore with a great brewery and food trucks down the street. The roo
One of the better hotels to which Iâve been. Even better than some of the more expensive hotels in downtown Vancouver at which Iâve stayed. There is a complimentary drink and snack for all guests. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Our roo
Our room had many space, air, light, itâs been very quite, with late check-out for all guests by noon. Itâs been extremely comfortable for this price, we usually stay at more expensive hotels, but weâve read the reviews and decided to stay at H

I loved this place! The inside was beautiful and thoughtfully decorated a It sounds like two brothers who were originally from Turkey own the place - but I totally overheard that, so I could be wrong. I had the cardamom coffee, my husband had the l
