The upside is the front desk is friendly and helpful, it’s a good location to the heart of the French Quarter, has security and it’s pretty quiet. The downside it’s in serious need of an upgrade, wasn’t very clean ( someone left their food in a drawer in our room, and we found it s an after it started to smell). The bed was clean, but the floors were dirty as was the bathroom. I started coming here when it first opened and it used to be a gem of a place to stay. I’ve seen it deteriorate into what it is today. They had a terrific bar before Covid, but closed it and never reopened it. Now it’s just a waste of space. They do not offer breakfast, though several people came up to the front desk and asked if they did, so there’s a need for it. I recommend calling the hotel directly to make reservations because the number they give you for reservations botches the reservation every time. I had to call them twice the last two times I stayed there because they got something wrong. After this last trip, we’ve decided to look for someplace else to stay. It’s a shame, this place could have been great.
Our family has traveled to New Orleans over the last 25 years. Our son is now grown and moved away so my husband and I decided to get away for a few days. This is the first time we have stayed at Hotel Le Marais. I chose the hotel due to the location since he has mobility issues and has to use a cane.||I can't say enough wonderful things about the hotel. It is absolutely beautiful. But most importantly the staff was the BEST from Debbie checking us in, Sonja giving us recommendations, and Pierre always going above and beyond assisting us. Christopher was also a huge help in valet parking which was just across the street.||The hotel was just a few steps from Bourbon Street but we never heard a sound and had a courtyard balcony room.||Hotel Le Marais is definitely now our absolute favorite place to stay. The location is PERFECT. Everything was within walking distance where we wanted to go. We did take a Lyft once to go to Pascal Manale's which was a few miles away. Beyond that our car stay parked while we enjoyed the French Quarter for 3 days.||I booked straight through the hotel's website and was able to get an incredible summer deal and was welcomed with complimentary drink tickets for nearby bars upon check-in.||Definitely an A+++++++ experience.
We booked the hotel at the last minute and were excited that they had openings. Upon arrival, we were let into the building by security because it was so late. We liked that because it helped us to feel safe as this hotel is in the heart of a lot of activity. The front desk clerk was very friendly and welcoming as was the security person. I requested an extra blanket and although I am sure staffing was very low at the late hour, they happily accommodated me.
The hotel was clean, but the lighting wasn't great in the halls and in the rooms, doing my makeup and getting dressed would have been much easier with more light. The room itself looked just like the pictures, so I was happy with that. The TVs could use an update, they didn't have HD channels at all. My room also had several items in disrepair, the mirror on the wall in the bathroom, the shelf in the bathroom, and most importantly, the lock on my door was coming unscrewed from the wall, there was a chip in the bathroom vanity and the bathroom could use a coat of paint. The missing lock made me very nervous, but I'd brought along my own hotel lock that I secured it with, I suggest buying one on Amazon for anyone that travels.
The bar was also not open and apparently hasn't been for a long time, I would have liked to know that in advance, we probably would have chosen another place. But even with the issues I wrote about above, overall, we were happy and I would definitely stay here again, however, a few small improvements would really make this hotel even better.
Pierre and Alisha at the front desk were very professional. Parking is right across the street and less money for covered valet than open public blocks away.
We had a very nice balcony room. It was very convenient, clean, comfortable and well-appointed. No Refrigerator.
I travel a lot and I'm giving this hotel 5-stars because it is a great value for what we paid. I would definitely stay there again.
NOTE: If you get a balcony room in the party capital of the US, expect it to be loud!!! That is the atmosphere. We would have been disappointed if it was a quiet room LOL.
This hotel was very clean, easy to access, and had very friendly staff. The location was perfect for walking anywhere in the French Quarter, while still being half a block off of Bourbon to alleviate the noise when sleeping. The courtyard was fantastic and the pool was very nice to relax in.
Nice hotel for the French Quarter area. Really recommend it. Very well kept and the hotel staff is very friendly and nice, they are always there to help. Had a great time staying there. Shoutout for the staff keeping our bags past the checkout time while we waited for our flight!
I loved everything about my stay here because of Pierre. He was the best receptionist I have ever met and when I go back and he’s still there I would book again. The rooms a great. The service was amazing because of him. Unfortunately it rained off and on so we couldn’t enjoy the pool like we wanted to.
Great location feet away from Bourbon Street. Plenty of great restaurants and bars within an easy walking distance. Valet services were great as well. What suprised me was how quiet the location was considering its proximity to everything
We had such a wonderful time staying at The Inn. We were greeted by our wonderful host⦠I mean warden. Todd was great and walked us around the jail, showing us where everything was. He had great suggestions for where to eat and shop. The kitchen ha
The executive king room is amazing, like having our own apartment right in the heart of the French quarter. Very clean. Great hotel staff. Easy to walk everywhere. My only complaints would be the water pressure is non-existent, but I imagine with old
