Hotel Indigo Flushing - LaGuardia, an IHG Hotel - Hotel in Flushing - 36-03 Prince St, USA

A stellar stay! Room was very modern, efficient and comfortable. Staff went above and beyond during the technological troubles that occurred that week. Located among many good restaurants, we had no trouble navigating to our destination, even in NYC traffic. Many a Foo was Fought! Renovations on the restaurant did not deter us from good eating experiences thanks to the recommendations of the outstanding staff!

Full disclosure: I used the parking garage only and the shuttle service. There was interaction with hotel staff. I cannot review rooms. ||Reception: The staff are kind but professional. ||Hotel: The hotel looks well maintained. ||Parking garage: The parking staff were friendly and professional when dropping off and picking car up. ||Shuttle: Leaving the hotel to reach LGA was painless. We did not even wait five minutes. After returning from our wonderful trip we waited over an hour with four phone calls to inpatient hotel staff. We were informed initially the shuttle runs every 30 minutes and then the same person hotel staffer told us the shuttle runs every hour. Disappointing to say the least. ||The plan was to get a room at said hotel and spend the night in the city. Due to the irritability of hotel reception we decided to forgo that plan.

Positive: The staff was so friendly and very accommodating. I was in town to help with a family member¿s transition into hospice. The staff was helpful, kind and very sensitive to my needs during a very difficult time. I really appreciate that. Negative: No there wasn¿t. On this same extended trip I also stayed at 2 other hotels in Manhattan, one notably upscale. Indigo had better amenities, nicer brand of toiletries, and exponentially better inclusive services. Waiting for the shuttle at the airport, almost missed it. "Hotel Indigo" is printed on a letter size sheet taped to the window of a white bus.|Arrived at the hotel late afternoon and had to wait an hour for our room to be ready (check in was supposedly at 3:00pm). The receptionist was very nice and apologized profusely.|On top of the LOUD noise from planes landing and taking off, we had the noise from the A/C units right outside the room (and we had the A/C in our room turned off to minimize the overall noise). Besides, I had SPECIFICALLY asked for a quiet room (the honest thing to do would have been for staff to forewarn me that there are no quiet rooms in this location). We slept approximately 1 or 2 hours. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE EVER.

Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here. Love the updated decor and there were tons of little things I appreciated (charging outlets on the nightstand lamp! Malin+Goetz shower products!). Had an upper floor Manhattan view, which was fun. But it was the people working at the front desk that was the real cherry on top. Warm professionalism as soon as I arrived. And they expertly took care of a minor issue I had with the smell of cigarette smoke coming through my vents one night. 10/10 would stay again.

I did not stay at the hotel itself. I used their parking garage from Wednesday-Tuesday (less than a week). I dropped my car off and took the shuttle over with no problems. On my return home however was a nightmare. My plane landed at 12:30 I called the hotel at 12:40 requesting a shuttle. They said it would take 20 mins. 20 minutes later the shuttle was still not there. I called and each time I was given a different excuse as to why it wasn’t there yet. “There’s traffic” “its at terminal B you are next” “its ten minutes away” “its on the highway”. After an HOUR had gone by I decided to just take a taxi that cost me $35. This was an inconvenience and honestly I would have just preferred for them to be honest with me and say they were having issues instead of waiting at the terminal for over an hour for a shuttle that never showed up. Once I arrived I did not get a straight answer as to what had happened I will not be booking here again. I even called to see if they can compensate for my taxi and I can’t seem to get in Touch with anyone and have been hung up on two of those times.

I would recommend this hotel highly for short term stays! Especially for concerts or events at CitiField! However for long term stays? That's a different story. Came here for a long term stay on a business trip. The most important things for me are cleanliness and hot water. This has those. And the staff has been nothing but friendly and helpful! However, the convenience items on long term stays like fridge, microwave, and laundromat are not here. No "continental" breakfast either. No free coffee even. And if your job requires you to be on time; stay on the 5th or 6th floors. I'm staying in the higher levels and the elevator? Forget about getting anywhere in time. Lots of great Asian cuisine to choose from within walking distance. I recommend 1392 and COOP! There's also a newly opened Raising Cane's really close! Again, I would definitely recommend this hotel for short term stays.

Positive: Big room size. Updated and clean bathrooms. Negative: Shuttle pick up took longer than expected from airport. However early morning shuttle to airport was right on time.
