The stay here was great! They were incredibly accommodating and upgraded our room to lakeside view for free. They also let us checkout late at 1pm because it was a slow weekday. We will definitely be back! Recommended!! Thank you James and Sam!

Most TERRIBLE place I've ever stayed??
Definitely never stay there again!!
Room could have been cleaner. It was tolerable but didn’t feel like they went there it very well after the last guest. We came on a holiday weekend and rooms were very expensive so we went with cheaper price and was a little disappointed. Was a place to stay with a bed. Had no towels in the room when we checked in and they didn’t seem to want to give us more of them. They did but seemed resistant.
GROSS. I would say not to believe the good reviews. 100% sure they are either fake or paid for. Room were gross to say the least, sheets were dirty and the plugs seem to have been broken as they weren't working and I would not charge my phone or use any hair tools. It was a hassle to talk to anyone, front desk employees were not present majority of the time so wasted a lot of time from my vacation waiting on them!! Unacceptable. I'd pay a few extra dollars for any other place in Tahoe.
I am a J1 student staying at Elevation Lodge. The experience here was very welcoming and pleasant. The staff are very warm and friendly and always ready to assist you in whatever request you may have. I am more than happy to recommend the place whenever you visit Lake Tahoe.
0 Stars! We had room #124. 1. I took a shower without my glasses and only afterwards discovered lots of curly black hair stuck to the walls of the shower. 2. sink didn't have drain stopper so the pipes exposed slimy crud caked pipe. 3. Cabinets were broken. 4. The bed was collapsed and broken on one side and metal rods sticking out on the other side. 5. the shampoo bottles were half used. 6. The floor felt wet and greasy to my bare feet so I put on sandals. My partner walked across the room with white socks and they became black on the bottom. They charged a $75 security fee and we were worried that we would get blamed for something we didn't do. Everything was broken and filthy so what could we possibly break? We stayed on night as we didn't think we could get our money back. We had to pre-pay. We didn't sleep at all. The next day we moved and didn't care how much money we would lose. Run from this place! I'm in my mid-60s and have never seen anything so bad in my life! I have stayed in cheap hostels and hiker hotels along the PCT and Appalachia Trails and never saw anything like this!
Submitting a second review because the hotel has yet to respond to my emails, previous reviews, and complaint to the BBB.
See review under the same name for details. Room was under last name 'Vasquez' on 7/27/24. Room with 3 beds.
PLEASE RETURN OUR $!
I swear the positive reviews on here are all fake!! There is absolutely no way anyone would call this place "clean" by any stretch of the imagination.
Awful, and I had paid already so it was not refundable.
Property was worn and not accurate to the photos online. When I arrived to check into the room at 6:03 pm, the front door was locked with a sign on the door stating I needed to call a phone number. I dialed the number to only get a "Hello", no 'Thank you for calling the Hotel Elevation' or even who I was talking to. I stated that I was there to check in, and the individual said "Okay, Ill be right there" and hung up the phone.
The individual on the phone came out of a room, about 4 doors down from the office door, in slip on sandals, basketball shorts and a t-shirt, no uniform or name tag.
Did not say hello, unlocked the door and did not hold it open for me to walk in.
Asked for my name and a CC to charge an additional $75 deposit fee that would be released in 2 days after check out.
{Note: this was listed as a pet friendly hotel -- they charge you $250 per pet, nonrefundable -- LOOK OUT}
Handed me my keys, did not give me the room number or any explanation of the property or where the room even was on property, and said, "Have a good one" and walked out.
The room smelled of bleach as soon as the door was opened, it was worn down, and two twin mattresses were put together to make a king, however the frame was metal folding and peaked in the middle when you sat at the edge of the bed.
Shower was very small, my elbows could touch both sides at the same time, and I'm 5'8". Mildew and so cold, no vent at all.
Would not recommend or ever stay here again. If I had an option I would get my money back for the night stay.

The place is really nice, the water is crystal clear but very cold. It's worth it to pay the $5.00 fee to see this beautiful place. In the middle of it there's an old house, scary but beautiful.
Went with my daughter and husband and came from the heavenly line since the wait at the resort was 2 hours! They helped us right away and we were able to get all the equipment we needed in a reasonable time frame. The staff are super friendly and acc
Beautiful hike to Eagle Lake that took about 30 min after the bridge. This time of year there was snow and ice on the trail that made it slippery but was worth the quick trip up and back.
Took this trail to go to Cascade Falls. It's flat for the first 5 mins or so and then becomes rocky and risky at the corners.
There is some construction work going on in the area so they have put up temporary boards marking the trail. Good job!
