This was a big treat for us. Situated in the upscale neighborhood of Pacific Heights, this hotel provides exceptional hospitality. Street parking is easy to find and feels safe, though one should always be cautious -- don't leave visible items in the car and, of course, keep the car doors locked. |Beginning with a warm welcome at the reception desk and, assuming you arrive in the afternoon, hot beverages and cookies, one feels immediately at home in a peaceful surrounding. Our room was well-appointed and every need was addressed. A welcome plate of fresh fruit awaited us; the mattress was super-comfortable. There was a choice of pillows, luxurious toiletries, a bedside water bottle, closet amenities, such as shoe horns and beautiful hangers. The soft colors of the room and the view towards the San Francisco Bay enchanted us.|We wanted to watch a classic holiday movie, so a member of the staff brought us a DVD player and set it up for us.|We opted to skip dinner after enjoying sumptuous hors d'oeuvres and exquisite, local wines during the early evening.|At breakfast we enjoyed a cooked-to-order hot breakfast, fresh fruit, delicious coffee and pastries. Very simply, it was for us a holiday treat and a memorable stay. We're actually native San Franciscans, but no longer live in The City. We highly recommend The Drisco Hotel for an amazing San Francisco experience.
One of the most beautiful and welcoming hotels we've stayed in. Newly redone rooms are lovely. Amenities fantastic. Gym is smallish but well outfitted (love the Pelaton), breakfast offerings each morning are sumptuous, evening cocktail hour is delightful. Staff was professional, efficient and personable. The hotel has an old world sensibility but with a modern take. We felt very welcomed and appreciated as guests. Looking forward to our next visit. |
This hotel is the most perfect place to stay in San Francisco. My wife and I only stay here now when we go and I only stay here on business trips as well. The hotel is perfectly situated above the Marina District in beautiful Pacific Heights surrounded by palatial homes and with great views. The rooms are decked out with every amenity you could imagine including a pillow menu! And the wine and cheese receptions and breakfast buffets are unparalleled. Highly recommended.
Such a nice spot. Take a stroll around the “billionaire row.” We were there there on a Saturday and Sunday and breakfast and happy hour wine, beer and appetizers was included. It looks like the rooms have recently been updated. I think some of the rooms have beautiful views but we were on the bottom floor. There was a pretty big gap under our door but they provide a draft stopper and we understood that this is a very old building and these quirks are part of the charm.
Amazing small boutique hotel that exceeded our expectations in every way. Fantastic complimentary breakfast and evening wine receptions, as well as nightly turn-down. Fabulous views from Pacific Heights in a beautiful neighborhood. Highly recommended!
We love this hotel. It’s in a beautiful location and rooms are quiet, clean, and extremely comfortable. Items offered for breakfast are varied and delicious. We stayed there twice in November and doubtless will be back whenever we are in San Francisco. It’s the nicest boutique hotel in the city.
A truly civilized experience in the midst of the Pacific Heights district of San Francisco. The happy hour is delightful and the breakfast if 5-stars. The staff is attentive and thoughtful while the complementary parking and car service are just examples of the little things that set this hotel apart. Would definitely recommend escaping to the Drisco over options downtown or the Warf!
Hotel Drisco offers the amenities that you expect from and no longer receive from the big name hotels. Here is an example. Last year we stayed in a suite on the 32 nd floor of the St Francis Hotel in San Francisco. Our room did not have bath robes. It turns out that you have to request robes. The room service menu consisted of a QR Code. The code didn't work because the account was closed. Meanwhile the Hotel Drisco offer robes and slippers in your room and room service with real menus.| |Regarding menus and food the Hotel Drisco offers a Continental Breakfast like no other. I'd call it a full breakfast menu. Then there is the early evening wine and appetizer gathering. The wine flows freely and you can make a meal out of the variety of appetizers that are available. The room service meals are reasonably priced and are very tasty.||The rooms are elegant and well cared for. This is our second stay here and in both stays the furniture was like new. Meaning no dents, scratches or stains could be found.|The Building itself is well maintained which you would expect when your in the Pacific Heights Neighborhood surrounded by multi million dollar mansions overlooking San Francisco Bay. There are no homeless people, panhandlers, or drug use around this area. Hardly any vehicle traffic which all and all makes for a very quite relaxing environment.||The relaxing environment can be attributed in part to the professional staff at Hotel Drisco. Everyone greets you with a smile and makes sure that your needs are met.||We will always stay at the Hotel Drisco whenever we travel to San Francisco.
