Lots of improvements seen in updating the decor. The beds were comfortable! We bring our 2 Great Danes and the housekeeping staff was amazig to work with so we could get some tidying up done while the dogs stayed with us. The entire staff was so kind and accomodating. We had a beautiful ocean sunrise view as well as a bay sunset view from our corner tower with extra large balcony, perfect for 2 big dogs. We appreciate that the hotel has remained dog friendly after a change in ownership. It has been a GO TO for us for over 10 years. Quick walk to the beach, close to everything you need. We wil definitely continue to stay here. So many lodgings in Dewey are becoming over priced and unobtainable unless you book a week at the increasingly larger houses and don't have pets. This place is a gem and we love it!

Excellent customer service from time of booking to end of stay. The front desk employees were pleasant and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. They managed to give us an extra 30 mins to check out because we woke up late! The room was clean. The only downside was that 2 of the drawers were broken and very difficult to open.

I had such a wonderful experience at Hotel Dewey and Mindy couldn't have been nicer or more helpful! I was supposed to stay at another hotel in the area and they didn't have my reservation when I went to check in - and blamed it on me. I had my dog with me so I had to find another hotel on a busy summer weekend and Hotel Dewey had one room left. My room was ready so they let me check in really early because I had my dog, Mindy felt so bad for me given the circumstances, waived the pet fee and let my friend who came down park in their lot as well. Mindy went above and beyond to make our stay amazing. I will 100% stay there again as the other hotel was extremely rude and not accommodating. Thank you!

Not sure what people are complaining about, I will definitely be staying here again. Had a bay view, quick walk to everything, had a kitchenette so we brought stuff to make for breakfast and lunch. They allow you to stay parked in the lot after check out till 4 so you can go to the beach pretty much all day. There is an elevator by the office as well! Was scared of the parking but there is extra parking under the building that you can’t see from the satellite map Yes there is a club next door but with how loud the AC units are, we couldn’t hear it much. If it does, play white noise on your phone, problem solved. It’s a beach hotel, they’re all dated. This one looks like it has had a recent update so it’s not bad.

Pros- It was close to bars/restaurants & the beach. On-site private parking lot. The Hyatt next door has a nice bayside area that is perfect for dogs or small children to play in the water. Dog friendly was a huge plus and the elevator was great too. Kitchenette was necessary for me since I had to bring my own food due to diet/allergies. The office staff was friendly and accommodating. ||Cons- outdated (scratched) furniture and a loud and busy location (lots of street and bar noise). I visited off-season so I’m sure the noise only increases in the summer. If you’re a light sleeper, this isn’t the place for you. The bar next door had bass pounding until well after midnight and I could feel the vibration in the room. This is the only factor that might prevent me from returning.

Definitely not what I was expecting. I guess you are paying for being so close to the beach but probably wouldn't stay there again. Definitely run down and old. My son was not impressed. It was only for one night to basically sleep so we made do. Not worth the price. Bed was comfortable enough to sleep. The A/C was stuck on high and the buttons wouldn't work so that was annoying having the air blow on me all night.

I stay here multiple times throughout the summer every year. The location is great and the price is better than most in Dewey. The staff is super friendly and goes the extra mile to make your experience awesome, including turn down service when they are short staffed.

As a disclaimer, prior to writing this review, we did contact the hotel directly via email, once it was clear, they had no intention of taking ownership of their false information, we chose to put the review up. |If necessary I will post the actual emails. |When we arrived it was late, and we were already hungry, after lugging our suitcase up some stairs, we got into our room. The room was clean, but old of course. Because we were hungry and it was late (and it’s fairly difficult to find anything other than fast food or WAY overpriced bar snacks) we put our stuff down used the restroom and went to find food. When we got back the toilet was still running, mind you it’s late now, whatever, took the toilet lid off and adjusted. We mistakenly did not realize the shower had had multiple settings, so it was on pouring out like a bucket mode. The shower water took a long time to drain as well. |Now the beds. So we paid for an upgrade to the 3rd floor, supposedly for a balcony room (hint, they all have balconies) and queen size beds. AND most of the view is non existent as there is a building right behind the hotel…so you get a sliver of water on either side of it. What we found was a queen size mattress on a old full size boxspring which is propped on an even smaller platform. AKA, sit on the side and fall to the floor. Can’t even sleep near the edges because you’ll slide off. |Now it’s Saturday morning, we have limited amounts of time as we are only there one more night. It’s spend an hour, complaining likely to be told to move rooms etc….so we just left as we had an obligation to attend to. |BTW, they were charging less for the king size rooms on the 2nd floor…|Anyway, after pointing this and some other things out, the hotel then tells me THEY KNEW THE BEDS WERE NOT RIGHT. They ordered sets and didn’t receive them, so they purposefully charge you MORE money knowing they aren’t giving you what is advertised. QUEEN BED, does not equate QUEEN MATTRESS. |Not only is it uncomfortable it’s dangerous. It’s very easy to fall off the edge when you sit down and hurt your back, or even hurt a child. |AND It’s not advertised accurately, nor do they advise you of this. |TLDR> |They do not honor their word, and they do not care that they do not give you what you paid for. Nor do they care. ||Stay away.

I love this beach! Grab some food and sit on the beach with a towel! This place is the place to go to avoid tourist life and live with the locals! Please note that they generally do not allow fires on the beach and you do need to pay for parking star

Fun place for the kids with a covered gazebo to sit and watch when not playing with them. Water fountain provided for hot days. Kids loved all the toys in the sandbox. There was even a book exchange for story time under the gazebo.

Firstly, Nick’s is the only place for a cheesesteak. Bread is soft. The meat moist and excellently chopped and plenty of cheese. Today, for lunch, I had their gyro. Given the authentic feel of the place, I had high hopes. (I’m doing a head to hea
