My girlfriend and I were in the area Friday and found ourselves here for the night. I'm not gonna lie we were a little sketched out at first but we ended up really enjoying our stay here. The room was big and very clean. This is really an amazing old building with some really cool history not to mention it is located in the perfect spot. I would recommend this hotel to anyone I know . You really can't beat it especially for the price! So anyone in the area, if there is a room available do not hesitate to stay here, I think you'll really enjoy it!
This is a very neat hotel with lots of character. It's in a historic building smack dab in downtown White River Junction. Let's get the bad out of the way. Whether these are bad or not really depends on your outlook: - The building is old, and the common area floors creak as you step. - The rooms are fairly small and simple. If you're used to modern motel amenities you might be disappointed. - You hear a bit more noise than modern buildings. - There's no breakfast included. Now onto the good (and great): - The staff is wonderful. - The building is historic and gorgeous. It has character and class. - The amenities are well-chosen and tasteful. It's little things like local soap in the bathroom, and nice bath towels, and comfortable sheets on the bed. - Our room was perfectly sized for an overnight stay. I have a bias against the large suites that are becoming more common nowadays. - Our bathroom was generously sized, not just an oversized closet. - You're situated in the center of downtown, steps from pretty much anything. There are great restaurants and neat little shops within a couple of minutes walk. The ceilings are super high, 8 feet in the rooms and higher in the lobby, which helps with noise and gives everything an open feel. While we could hear people outside our room by the sound of the floor creaks, we weren't bothered by the sounds of people in other rooms. The night we stayed there was a party in the function room of the hotel. It was a little loud but it didn't keep us up. I assume it ended by 11 pm but I was asleep an hour before that.
A good value and a fun experience to stay in an old time hotel. The Coolidge takes you back to earlier time. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was basic but clean and pleasant. I'm forced to write at least 200 characters so this is me doing that.
This place is long overdue for a total make over. I'm not usually very sensitive to air quality but as soon as I got in there. I felt like I was going to go into a sneezing fit. The room was kind of gross and weird, way bigger than it needed to be. There was lots of noise from the radiant radiant heater and outside in the hallways felt like nonstop traffic. I couldn't sleep. The staff was very friendly though.
The staff were all wonderful, very friendly. We arrived later at night and Andrew was especially helpful and welcoming. It was great to have coffee, tea and ice water available all day. The beds were very comfortable. The overall atmosphere was unaffected and charming with all the turn of the century peculiarities. We loved the hotel as well as everything the town had to offer: food, shops, people.... We would definitely come again and recommend this hotel to our friends and family.
The history, charm, elegance, and comfort can’t be overstated. Staff were kind and helpful. The location allows for close-up watching of the train yard. It’s just a few steps to the Tucker box, a Turkish restaurant and bar with delicious fresh food, and beautiful presentation and decor. Small, unique antique and gift shops are nearby. Would love to return sometime!
Great service, unique hotel. Feels like going back in time. Everyone is friendly and very helpful. Some great unique restaurants around too. Real fireplace in the lobby, cozy! The price was awesome and I like supporting a mom and pop business.
Overall it is a good hotel in a great, fun location. Andrew checked us in and he was friendly and helpful. The room itself smelled a little odd, and the bed was uncomfortable as we could feel the springs through the mattress. The building itself definitely has some fun character but also is in need of some updates. The biggest struggle was when our fire/smoke alarm went off in our room at 5 AM! We found staff to help us, and they removed the alarm and told us we could go back to bed. But we were pretty shaken up by being woken up that way! But breakfast the next day was delicious. We went to the Tuckerbox and it was nice to have the voucher from the hotel.

You would not be disappointed with this place! Honestly, this was one of the better cocktail bars I've been to! It is a tiny little bar (but very cute!), so it'd be better to drop by on a weekday than weekend (weekends are usually full). Their cockta

The food was so good. The mussels in a red curry sauce are amazing, perfectly cooked mussels in a delicious sauce- if I had a spoon I would have finished the broth like a soup! I had the chicken thighs- simple ingredients elevated to deliciousness!
We have stayed at numerous KOAâs all over the US. This location had the best staff weâve ever worked with. They had a staffer help back in our RV at 8pm while it was dark and he was so helpful and knew exactly what he was doing. The property was
I stop in here for lunch a lot while working in the area. Tons of good options and higher quality items available. Staff is friendly, big shout out to Wendy, extremely friendly and professional! Love this spot and all the options for lunch.
The vegan burrito was really good, just needed some hot sauce to really complete it. Our bartender, Belle, was kind and helpful! Really canât say enough good about this place. The beer and ciders were delicious, the vegan option was filling (and e
This is a walk up snack bar. You order and they have outside tables under a roof covering. They are often busy but the lines are not bad. We often go for the ice cream. We split a sundae and are usually very full. Their fries and shrimp are good. Th
