Good, value for money hotel between Mountain view and Sunnyvale. Theres many restaurants, grocery stores, gas stations, and car rental agencies down the road from here, making it a super convenient location to stay at. Staff was generally friendly and hospitable, especially the housekeeping staff. The pool is nice 👍🏽

Wonderful experience. Hotel is very clean, everyone working there is friendly and welcoming. Location is perfect us for dine out and meet people.|We see a lot of cars in the parking at night (free parking) but hotel is very quiet, so we could sleep well.|We loved the hotel.Thank you very much!!

The hotel, including premises and pool, is clean and functional. It's a bit on the dated end (carpets, creaky elevator, in-wall a/c units), but quiet and well located for business. Plus there are some nice touches (happy hour, welcome cookies, automatic late checkout for Hyatt rewards members). The staff incredibly friendly and welcoming, particular RJ who was just a pleasure to interact with!

We had a great stay at Hotel Avante. One of the best parts was the great staff at the front desk, especially RJ. He was courteous, kind and very responsive to a few questions we had during our stay. I inadvertently left my cell phone in the room, and he called me to return it...so grateful. It always makes a hotel stay feel a little nicer when the front desk staff have people like RJ. One great perk about the room is that the windows opened allowing fresh air in so we didn't have to use the AC. Would stay again.

So my 2 star rating is based off what you would pay for a cash rate, we used points so it would be a 3 with that. That being said, if this is recently renovated, all they did was slap some painted decor on the wall and redo the furniture. The carpets are old and look like they need to be updated. The room walls are SO thin. We could hear our neighbor snore at night AND everyone in the hall or elevator landing. A tile from the wall was hanging off in the bathroom and why it’s a 2 or 3 star (the rest I can deal with put on a YouTube video for a fan sound to draw out the noise outside) was the AC doesn’t work properly. We set this AC to 68 or 69, whatever the lowest was but it kept turning off after 10 minutes and was maybe 73? We were so hot I kept getting up every 30 minutes to reactivate the AC (and no remote). Location is great, service was great, they do give you continental breakfast, coffee, and they have a happy hour but invest some money in your actual renovation and working AC. Oh and the WiFi is slow, I mean 2G slow unless you pay for the upgraded one. This is great for a 1 night stay if you can deal with the above. Otherwise I would wait till you see some reviews on these updates.

We used this hotel as a base for part of our honeymoon trip. San Jose accommodation is a little more reasonably priced than San Fran. The hotel was in a nice area with plenty of shops and food restaurants all within walking distance. Staff are friendly and rooms are large. Clearly recently renovated, the hotel was in good condition. British guests - go buy some milk and put in fridge in room - can get hot water for tea and plenty of English Breakfast Tea, but across US hotels not great for providing milk and often it is more like powdered creamer. Also breakfast point in lobby area where you can replenish hot water, tea, coffee and free fruit. This hotel was better than many 4 stars I have stayed in.

I was very pleasantly surprised with my stay here! I stay in the area every few months, and this hotel was almost $70/ night cheaper than similar hotels I usually stay at in the area. The lobby is staffed with a person 24 hours a day, and staff was very friendly when checking in late at night. Honored my request for an upper level room despite having booked through a third party. This is clearly an older property, but looked very recently updated and was very clean. Free coffee and juice in the morning, with other breakfast food available for purchase. Plenty of parking available, and free wifi. The air conditioning was one of those older units under the window so it was a bit loud, but it cooled the room down fast and I didn't feel a need to run it all night. There's also a basic fitness center, pool, and hot tub available. Overall this is not a fancy hotel by any means, but it isn't trying to be either, and I would definitely stay here again if the price was right!

I can not believe this hotel is associated with Hyatt Hotels, I am seriously disappointed that it is. It's very pretty when you walk into the lobby, but it all goes downhill from there. To begin with, we asked for an ADA room on an upper floor. As soon as we got into the elevator, it started to violently shake, like we were having a very bad earthquake. I’m 64 years old and it was the scariest elevator ride I have ever experienced. It was so bad, we didn't even go into the original room because my wife and I were not comfortable with using that elevator one more time. I was fooled by this association and thought this would be a nice hotel, because it was associated with Hyatt Hotels, it wasn't. What a dump. I will NOT be back. The only good thing about this hotel, was that Steven at the front desk was very friendly and tried to accommodate our needs as best as he could. Sadly he couldn’t. Very disappointing stay.

Price is reasonable for the area. The rooms are clean and comfortable. 20 min walk to Mountain View main downtown. One thing is the blinds don’t shut all the way so the light from the lamps and cars outside was a bit distracting. Gym is small but
