Hotel Aluxor SFO - Hotel in San Bruno - 500 El Camino Real, USA

I stayed at Aluxor SFO for two nights on a family excursion. These seating areas were lovely. Our rooms were clean for the most. Only thing was the hard floors felt a bit sticky as I can hear the tread of my shoes peeling away from the floor with each step. Our bay window had a nice view, unfortunately I couldn’t capture a good picture of it. Sadly, there was not much of a selection in the sundries store in the office. Plus the refrigerators were busted as the beverages in there were at room temperature. Additionally, the soft drink vending machine had absolutely no beverages in it. Other than those things, I enjoyed my stay here.

A nice hotel with all the basics. Big plus are the atrium spaces where you can sit and enjoy the light and space. Rooms are nice and clean. We had some problems with the electrical outlets in the room ( most of them did not work and non of the outlets in the bed frame siding work) but it doesn't affect my scores. It's something temporary. Good service and very friendly staff. Rooms are in good size and the beds are good. Overall a good hotel. Easy parking in the building.

Great hotel with clean, comfortable rooms. Beds very comfortable as were pillows. Each floor had 2 mini lobbies with seats where you could just hang out and talk or like us, put tables together and played cards. Bathrooms were clean with nice towels. e were close to the airport, but minimal noise. Convenient to airport, Interstates and many choices of restaurants. No breakfast included, but no big deal for us. Would definitely stay here again.

We arrived at the hotel and there was no one at the check-in desk. We waited 10 minutes and there was still no one (concerning for security at the hotel). While waiting there was a couple who was also waiting who we asked if there’s anyone around and they said “the service here is terrible”. So we continued to wait. A man came out from a back room, said something to the couple and ignored us even being there. We waited a few minutes more and he neglected to return. With the lack of service AND knowing no one tended to the desk, we left. We did not feel respected or safe. We booked another hotel and requested our money back via booking.com explaining all of this. I was still charged for the room even with these circumstances. Very disappointed and upset given we had just gone through terrible flight delays and cancellations to get to San Francisco for vacation.

Our room seemed recently renovated and was clean and quite sufficient for our short stay. I had to call the front desk multiple times and wait a little while to check in a bit early, but eventually got the help I needed. The airport shuttle is very convenient and actually left earlier than scheduled (arriving in the lobby early is recommended!) when we took the first ride of the day. The small parking garage seems to fill up but we had a close parking spot in the afternoon and evening when we needed it. Overall we had a pleasant stay, but beware that other guests may use the common gathering area noisily (and past 10PM) if your room is adjacent to it.

Honestly, it's near SFO with a free shuttle that runs before dawn, the room i had was spotless, and there's free coffee in the lobby and a coffee maker in the room (plus fridge and microwave). What's not to like? The only down side is, the website says free continental breakfast, and there isn't any. They offer snack packs for sale, but very few - bags of chips, nuts. I'd definitely stay again if I have a really early flight out.

The rooms are some of the best i have ever seen, it looks like a 5 star hotel resort. But, the lobby is very crammed and not up to date. The first floor (above the lobby) has a very nice living area. Also, the rooms are very close to the road so it can be loud. Summary: Amazing room and atmosphere, but the lobby needs updates.

Rooms were very clean and towel fairly new. The hotel was refurbished a year ago and it is a good choice for an airport stay. The shuttle airport to hotel is old and has three other stops so Lyft maybe a better choice. There is coffee and tea in the morning.
