We were stuck in Boston due to a flight cancelation. Nicole at check in was extremely professional, helpful and friendly. She provided a wonderful first impression. After spending the day in the airport, she was a breath of fresh air. The hotel is visually stunning. This isn't your typical cut and paste hotel. Every corner offers something new. The hotel bar was quaint. Definitely would recommend this hotel to family and friends!
We just returned from a getaway for Christmas shopping in our favorite city of Boston. What a treat our stay was at The Hotel AKA Boston Common. We were greeted personally upon arrival, by Mauro Cristian Aguilar, the Director of Operations at the hotel. Mauro and his staff from front desk personnel, housekeepers, valets and restaurant staff, could not have been more welcoming! Our room was tucked away on a corner overlooking every exciting site that the Boston skyline offers... the Freedom Trail, the steeple of the historic Park Street Church, the State Capitol building, the Boston Common and more! It was made even more picturesque with the gorgeous Christmas light displays everywhere. The ease of this central location to Faneuil Hall Marketplace, Washington Street shopping and the Seaport District makes this hotel a perfect choice. We understand that a complete renovation of the building will be underway soon and will rival their AKA Back Bay Hotel. We plan to return on our next trip for the theater, and will look forward to another stay when the renovation project is complete. The personal touch of all AKA staff members makes this hotel a welcome 'home away from home'. Thank you Mauro and staff... we will see you soon again! This place is great! Highly recommend. We arrived extremely early for check-in and they had a room waiting for us. The room had stellar views of Boston and everything was high quality and very clean. The room was spacious, good AC/heating system, big comfy bed and spacious clean bathroom. The whole staff from the valet to the concierge were friendly and helpful. Very good vibes all around!
Nicole at the front desk is really great and very friendly when arriving to the hotel! The gym is 24 hours which is great for those traveling out of town for work or fun. Also, Happy Hour in the main lobby is good vibe. Very close to different restaurants and bars.
Everyone is “Somebody”. |From the moment we walked through the front door at the AKA we were treated like Somebody Special. Their hospitality and service was exceptional. Their accommodations were excellent and their service went above and beyond. Each employee we encountered left us smiling.||They have a social hour for their guests every evening which affords the opportunity to meet their management as well as other guests. To learn and share with other travelers was an incredible pleasure.||Located by the Boston Commons, we found it easy to navigate and enjoy Boston in any direction we chose. Our room had a glorious view of the park decked out in it’s Holiday lights.||We highly recommend this hotel and will look forward to returning to this location when next we visit.
I cannot say enough about this hotel. It has a great location for the back bay and down town activities. We walked everywhere and it’s right on the t if u want to take it. Happy hour ant 4p and free coffee in the morning was a bonus. Clean with great staff and has a competitive price.
We enjoyed our most recent stay here (stayed here before when it was the Kipton Nine Zero). William at the front desk was incredibly polite and professional. The room was clean and so was the rest of the property. It’s super close to Boston Common, which has Park St Station (subway station), and also a public parking garage which is underground (under Boston Common). Plenty of restaurants and shopping within walking distance as well. It’s definitely a great choice for couples. If you stay here and are looking for quiet and romantic restaurant then definitely check out The Merchant which is just two or three blocks away.
This is my third time staying in the AKA Boston Common within the past year, and the customer service has been phenomenal! Everyone took great care of me and my family during the Boston Marathon, which caused me to book two subsequent stays for business travel.||During all three visits, Nicole went above and beyond to make our stay a great experience. Her kindness and enthusiasm really made a difference! Leo was also very helpful.||In addition, the rooms are classy and the hotel is located in a great part of town!
