This place is brutal. Holes in the sheets. Pet hair on the beds. Door did not have a hinge lock. It was really not a pleasant place to stay. I had a 2 night stay booked. I packed up and went elsewhere after the 1st night. I would not recommend anyone stay here.
The accommodations at the Hotel 8 were very nice. The bed was comfortable. The room was spacious; we had a queen bed and that was it. The continental breakfast was just what we expected. We only stayed one night. Sure you could hear the noise in the hallway, but it was quiet after 11 pm. It’s a Hotel 8, good value for your money.
What a wonderful hotel! The owners were enthusiastic, welcoming, accommodating, and kind. We felt a bit like visiting family members or friends, and that was such a treat. We were first put in a room that had had the carpet shampooed recently. Because of this, the room was pretty humid. Once the owners learned of this they immediately offered us a different room. They also let us put our ice packs in their big freezer, and that was really nice. The breakfast was small, but just what we needed to get a start on our day.
In my opinion I would say this is one of the best hotels to come to in Fergus Falls their service is unmatched…Whatever your needs are Khan & his wife will gladly will meet those they are amazing people and will gladly help you …There is free wifi so you can enjoy your experience there even more …its pet friendly so if you have separation anxiety from your fury friend don’t worry, They can come too and the rooms stay clean so you never have to worry about odor from other pets being there…The rooms are so comfortable you’ll feel right at home either if you like carpet floors or hard top floors there’s both I can’t find any cons for this place and I don’t think you will either!!! Forgot to mention the food is top tier if you crave breakfast every morning…
The pros: The owners are very friendly, and they are trying very hard to improve the hotel; The rooms were clean; the breakfast options are limited, but decent; The room rate is about one third less than the nearby competition. The cons: The AC/Heater is a combo wall unit, and it ran nearly all night - a few minutes on/a few minutes off - and it was very loud; Only two very thin pillows were provided for the bed, but we asked for two more for our second night and they were provided; Hot water was an issue for us. We showered around 8am on our first morning. My fiance had a nice hot shower, but the hot water ran out when it was my turn, and I had to take a freezing cold shower. I have never stayed in a hotel where the hot water completely runs out! We showered at 6:30am on our second morning, and both of us enjoyed a nice hot shower. My tips: Ask for extra pillows (and towels) when you check in, and shower early!
It’s a clean and well kept hotel. Easy to find and convenient to restaurants, etc. We love that the independent owner is on property and shows pride in his business. Thank you for accommodating our late arrival. Beds were very comfortable!
I do not usually write reviews or answer surveys but I am compelled to write a review for this place. We are very impressed with the accommodations, the friendly owners/employees, & convenient location. It is not a "fancy, higher than thou" hotel... it is a family friendly atmosphere, safe & security environment. We were impressed the owner INSTANTLY took care of an issue we reported to him!! I hesitate to give such a high recommendation for selfish reasons... I hope the hotel is not full and a room is available next time we need a place to stay!! 😁👍
After looking through recent reviews, I decided to give this place a try. I'm a frequent hotel stayer and am always looking for low cost, no-dump places to stay. This place definitely has it's good points. Clean and updated, friendly check in. However, since they have laminate flooring in the rooms, it seemed loud. It is a pet friendly hotel so somewhere around 3:30 am, I heard my upstairs neighbor get out of bed, walk around and then heard the scamper of a dog following. Nothing a pair of earplugs wouldn't have helped. I would stay here again.

Cute and friendly coffee shop! Delicious coffee. Iced mocha with oat milk was super yummy. Handy drive through and small outdoor seating area. Happy to support a locally owned, independent coffee shop.

Love shopping here! Always great finds and good prices. The staff is very nice to deal with as well. Also added benefit is a lrg % of what you spend goes to a local cause.
My new favorite burger in Fergus! Great service and nice vibe. Kind of pricey but I think you get what you pay for. I will definitely come back and I look forward to trying some other stuff on the menu.
