We were truly impressed with attention to detail and level of care we experienced at Hotel 1928. Every corner of has been meticulously crafted, and we were transported to another time and place. It was an incredible getaway, with remarkable hospitality and beautiful rooms. We even got a kick out of the "light switches," which are buttons instead. The staff were all very friendly, from the front desk, to the restaurant team, to the barista. Great location and a few blocks away from The Silos. The library reserved for guests is truly lovely, we felt so special sitting in it - take a glass of wine and spend some meaningful time there.
If you want a memorable trip, stay at Hotel 1928 in Waco, TX. The Hotel was one of the sweetest experiences we've had staying away. It felt like a personalized experience, as if you were staying in a bed and Breakfast, yet the amenities and service were five star. The food at the Brasserie was outstanding, yet the servers were humble and accommodating. Visit the silos, eat at the local restaurants, visit the Dr Pepper museum, and great shopping for blocks.
We were very excited to stay at this hotel for a fun overnight road trip. The hotel was pretty and there was a lot of intentional detail added for the overall ambiance and aesthetic. The staff was friendly, but not overly hospitable. We ate at one of the restaurants for a 6pm meal and were informed that they had already run out of 3 cocktails and 3 menu items. The beds were very very comfortable and our room was cozy. The turndown service and treat left in the room were a nice touch, but the coffee service mentioned as an amenity never came to our room in the morning. My last, but most important, point is that I booked an ADA accessible room for myself and my travel companion, and while the room provided the necessary spaces for them to get around comfortably with their necessary mobility devices the bed was too tall for them to get in and out of without struggling. I hope this can be considered for future guests so that they have an easier time.
Just WOW. After watching Chip and Joanna do the remodel, we just had to go to Waco. The hotel is definitely 5 star. The staff were all amazing and friendly. We visited the silos and took a tour of the castle that Chip bought. Again, the staff was amazing. One can easily tell that Chip and Joanna take care of their employees - because they are all happy and go above and beyond to help you.
The nostaligia from 1928 is certainly preserved in the restoration of the Hotel 1928, in Waco, Tx.||The rooms are an experience in themselves, tastfully designed, with marble flooring in the bathrooms. The library alone is worth the stay. We enjoyed all our meals at their restaurant, The menu included anything we would have wanted. Can't wait to go again, as the city has many wonderful things to do.
Beautifully designed hotel - guest rooms/suites are gorgeous with quality amenities (bath products, Dyson hair dryer, ample reading lights). Common areas are very well done and inviting. Front desk, gift shop, and barista team members were very thoughtful and welcoming. As fans of Fixer Upper, we were impressed to see all in-person!||Two areas that are inconsistent:|Valet parking, $25 - which is actually parking across the street on a lot without security. (Perhaps include in the nightly rate as self-parking is not an option or hire security?)|F&B - staff hospitality/service training would benefit the property and be more on message with the marketing in being a luxury, boutique hotel. Our experience at Berties was mediocre at best, partly due to poor service on a very, quiet weeknight. ||Also - inquired about the hyped daily in-room coffee service only to find out that has been discontinued as "guests did not like".
Hotel 1928 was exactly as one would expect from Chip and Joanna. The property is beautiful, luxurious and conveniently located to downtown Waco. There’s a wonderful restaurant in the hotel and a rooftop bar. Our room was large and comfortable and the bedding was heavenly. Since there are only 33 rooms, you never feel overwhelmed with crowds. I will definitely be returning to this charming hotel.
We had the pleasure of being served by Andrew during our recent visit to your restaurant, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Andrew's warm and welcoming demeanor immediately put us at ease, setting the tone for what turned out to be a delightful evening.
Not only was Andrew incredibly friendly, but his professionalism and attention to detail were truly commendable. He anticipated our needs before we even had to ask, ensuring that our glasses were never empty and that each course was timed perfectly. His knowledge of the menu was impressive, and his recommendations were spot on.
What truly stood out about Andrew was his genuine care for our dining experience. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and satisfied every step of the way. His enthusiasm for his work was infectious, and it was evident that he takes great pride in providing top-notch service to his guests.
Thanks to Andrew, our evening was made memorable for all the right reasons. We left feeling not only satisfied with the delicious food but also grateful for the exceptional service we received. Thank you, Andrew, for an unforgettable dining experience. You've set the bar high for service excellence, and we look forward to seeing you again soon!
Green Door Lofts and the host, Jim, were amazing. The loft is centrally located with garage parking should you need it but it is within walking distance to plenty of shopping and dining. The loft was well appointed and stocked with comfortable living
This place was amazing to stay, eat, relax and hang out after a long drive!!! We checked in, our room was very clean and had everything we needed, including a kitchen. After a 14 hour drive it was very nice to unwind on the couches in the lobby, sna

The PHO here is amazing!! Holy cow yummy. I also tried the grilled pork bowlâit reminds me of Vietnamese vermicelli, but here itâs served warm. The âhouseâ fish sauce with it is very mild flavored. The menu only has a few items, but it all se
