Hot Tails - Seafood restaurant in Prairieville - 17097 Airline Hwy Suite 211, USA

This place seems to focus more on the bar experience so this review is based on that service. Our bartender was attentive and recommended some food for my boyfriend and I to try. I ordered the Shotgun shrimp wrap with fries. My drink was a Mojito. Very refreshing and mixed well. I am picky with mint flavor drinks because mint can be overpowering. Food tasted great. I love the sauce! It is a great place for the bar experience but falls short in the dining area.

I have such mixed feelings on this place. While I love the food, I have had some not so great moments in other areas. The staff is hit or miss. Several times we have sat and not been spoken to, or even acknowledged for an inexcusable amount of time. All the while, several employees are playing on their phone. Other times it's not that bad. Then there's the take out situation. Every time we order take out, we are shorted on the order, or the quality of the meal is very much below par. EVERY TIME!! And there was the time I ordered a glass of Cab and was charged $18 per glass. The menu said $11. I spent 10 years in this industry, and I feel as if true management is lacking here and it really does ruin what could be a great experience.

The blackened shrimp salad is amazing, the seafood gumbo is delicious, probably the best onion rings I’ve ever had. So much flavor in everything. This is one of my new favorite places. I will definitely be trying many other things on the menu.

We stopped in for a drink, (Louisiana's sweet spot, cocktail trail) and wasn't planning on ordering, but the costumer service was so great we decided to order and see how it would go. We ordered the crawfish croquettes, so delicious. The flavor was so unique and memorable. Then for our main meal Red beans,rice and porkchop for me and The crab cab croissant 😍 everything was so good. We really weren't expecting to even like the place or the food, but WOW were we surprised. I'm definitely coming back. The atmosphere and the food 👌.

Food was amazing and staff was quick and veal nice The roast beef poboy packed to the top full of meat and so tender and filling and the fries perfectly crisp.

Customer service was excellent. The best etoufee in Louisiana!!! The shrimp were amazing. This is now my new spot.

Mr. Mike you have awaken my taste buds. Your red beans and rice are just like old school beans on the bayou. I love the veggies and shrimp it is so full of favor. The service every time we come we are greeted with a smile. Great service amazing food. If i could give a award it would be 🍽🍽🍽🍽🍽 5plates award. Which means you got me hook and i will keep coming for more plates of joy. Again keep up the great service.

I'm visiting and stopped here to get a bite to eat. I ate here on my last visit and the food was good. I ordered an Oyster Po-boy, and it was HORRIBLE!! The bread wasn't toasters. It was cold. The oysters were bland with seasoning but spicy. The fries were cold and hard. This was one of my favorite restaurants but I won't return. However, the service was very good.
