Hot Dog Heaven - Hot dog restaurant in Amherst - 493 Cleveland Ave, USA

Good casual restaurant, especially if you have kids. The prices aren’t horrible, but still a bit steep for hotdogs. None of it is very original. When we were there every single table was filthy, which is pretty off-putting. Condiments were empty. Wait was long for just 2 hotdogs and a fry. If you have a small child, be aware that the restrooms are one toilet per gender, so they are prone to creating a line. My toddler couldn’t wait for 4 other women to go, so we ended up using the men’s. May or may not return… just an “okay” experience.

Hot dog heaven isn't trying to reinvent fast food. They provide the basic dogs, burgers, fries etc. with all the usual toppings. No more or less. The food isn't bad, just not mind blowing. What makes Hot Dog heaven stand out in a sense of nostalgia. The atmosphere is that of a burger joint 50 years ago. A quaint dining area with the local high school teams pictures on the walls, friendly faces greeting you and food that reminds you of younger days when we could be excited for simple things.

Love me some HDH! Really great spot for lunch stopping by to grab a couple hot dogs. Recommend the works and chili cheese. Good price. Fries are great (make sure ya use the seasoning at the tables!)

It's a great stop for a hot dog, or two😜, and some delicious fresh cut shoestring fries! Always a good place for that quick bite, or when you're craving a hot dog. Friendly and efficient as always. The new building is a nice homage to the old building that had a fire and had to be razed.

Food was delicious as always. But a bunch of cole slaw got on my daughters plain hotdog in the box and she wouldn’t eat it. The drive thru girl had a bad attitude… but the foods still delicious Went back the next day and it was way better customer service :))

Got off work early for a change and thought we would head 12 miles for a good hot dog. Ordered jumbo dog, kielbasa, fries and mushrooms. Got an unsweetened tea and wife got a milkshake. Came to $31 and thought okay, used to be good. Went and found a nice place to park and watch people bar hop. Worst meal I have had! Jumbo dog was cold. Kielbasa was ice cold and bun was so soggy it would not let go of the foam container, but ate the sausage any way. Everything was on top of fries cold and smashed in the bag. Got a total of 7 mushrooms for $5 and was only warm item in bag. Found a dumpster behind theater to dispose of what we did not eat. And headed 12 miles back. Stomache was read to explode it hurt so bad. Spent an hour in bathroom. WHAT HAVE THEY DONE?? Place was not bad before. Community rallied around and supported them. Now this? Plus no receipt to go back later and complain. Very sad and horrible experience.

sauerkraut was grilled and made the bun soggy. I had to take most of the kraut off because it didn't have the taste I was going for. kielbasa was good . It was grilled and had a nice snap

Worst hotdog ever! Cold, hard bun—— 4 hotdogs large cheese fry and a hamburger meal $50!!!! No thank you! I’ll travel to Chicago before I come back here!!!! Do not waste your money- unless,you’re just down for ok fries, cause that’s what you get!
