What a great duo! We really enjoyed the food and the lovely couple who run the place. What’s more, the menu presents something quite unique, a choice between Mediterranean and Indian food, which both were wonderfully made! And the mango lhasi is incredible!
We love the Hot & Cold Cafe! The couple that owns the restaurant is so kind, made us delicious food, and let us try the mango pudding on the house! We will definitely be returning for great authentic Indian and Mediterranean food at a great price!
Exceptional tasting food with friendly, caring service at a great value. Great vegan options. Be mindful of the spice level -- "slight" was perfect for me and my daughter, while "medium" was perfect for my husband but would have been unbearable for me when I took a bite of his dish.

This was my first visit to Hot & Cold. The atmosphere is different. It's small and sort of informal, I like the large street front window. The kitchen is very unconventional, it's basically behind a wall that separates it from the dining area and you can look through the entire prep area when you enter the restaurant.
The service was good and the owner/chef was pleasant. They offer Mediterranean/Indian dishes, so for me the flavors were unusual compared to the Indian food I have eaten previously.
Overall it was okay and the pricing is reasonable for the portion size and variety. The menu is simple, not a multitude of options. There are various vegetarian options, a couple curry, lamb & chicken dishes. I will say if you like Mediterranean, this is a nice spot to try but if you prefer more Indian dishes you may want to look elsewhere as there are few Indian offerings here.
I recommend the Karahi chicken and Chicken Korma.
Absolutely love, love, LOVE this place! My girlfriend and I's favorite place to eat in terms of Indian cuisine and restaurants in Lynchburg. Owners are so friendly and love to chat, always puts a smile on my face to see them! Food is extraordinary as well and very fairly priced, my favorite is the lamb curry and rice pudding! We sometimes drive over an hour to Lynchburg just to come here, haha. Best restaurant and 100% recommend!
Amazing little spot for delicious food. The service is very hospitable. Sweet owner who is working hard managing everything. If anyone is looking for a part time JOB to help, I'm sure he would be most willing for help. This place is a wonderful place for all ages.
The food was delicious and high-quality! The owners were kind and clearly took pride in their restaurant. They let us choose the spice level - mild, medium, or very spicy. I chose the mild and enjoyed rich flavor, with less heat. Next time I may try the medium!
Excellent authentic Indian. He'll serve Americanized Indian as well. Very friendly service. Excellent food. I like the feel of the place with the tables up front near the window.
I had the Karahi Chicken which I've never had before and it was fantastic. Right level of heat/spice.

Awesome view! Tunnel can see through Mount Rushmore Monument. Car can stop on side to take a peak for a few minutes. Our Tour Bus went through this tunnel.
