Incredible experience. No gators saw lots of manatees and even a dolphin ! I guess she hangs out near the kayak shack. We got on the river at the kayak shack so I don’t know how to get to hospital hole from the streets but the kayak shack cost 40$ for a single kayak
Got to see plenty of manatees when we were here both in December and in March. Many more in March because there was a storm that brought more into the river. We camped along the Mud River and paddled over to Weeki Wachee River and up to the spring head. Very cool experience for the kids.
We found out this place randomly while searching for kayak spots and it was well worth the kayak there. The hole is so different because the further you dive down the more it changes. The temperature and the visibility is so crazy when you dive in the hole. It's a little hard to find, so look for the bend in the water about a half mile past Rodgers park. There is a bent Palm tree in the water across from a no wake sign to let you know you are there. Tie off and explore, it's well worth it!!!
Just an amazing experience, it seems in January there at least a few manatees hanging out here all the time. It’s such a calming experience to see them in the water. They move so slow and gentle you are completely relaxed based on there behavior and leave feeling refreshed. Go during the week early in the morning to avoid a lot of people. One of my new favorite places to go. It soothes the soul!
Water was a bit murky, but you could still see the opening to the about 180ft deep hole. A beautiful spot. Count on a lot of kayak, canoe, paddle board and boat traffic though in good weather. It gets crowded. The ride up the river is enjoyable, but I thought it was way too crowded with houses once on the river itself.
Amazing kayaking spot straight out of a movie screen! The current is very chill do pushing up river is not hard at all.
I love this place, the river water is very clean and clear. We swim in the river. Enjoy our kayaking. We have a great time.
Love this place to swim and hang out! Also if every once in a while you will see manatees
Just tried Cheese Dreams for the first time! WOW WOW WOW!!! Absolutely Delicious! Huge portions and great prices, and the service from the owner was on point! Such a nice man! He even gave us samples of chili to try which was the best I've had in a v
Super good food! I loved the cheeseburger wrap. The meat is juicy and delicious. My boyfriend got some wings which he loved as well, nice and crispy! This business definitely seems family owned and like they truly love their restaurant. They are such
Took my son and his girlfriend here for the Friday 13th special. Lauren was amazing. She pierced my son's girlfriend's nose. Then did her tattoos. After that she did my son's tattoo. She explained everything as she was doing it as it was his first on
