Horseshoe Lake Charles - Hotel in Westlake - 100 Westlake Ave, USA

I've always had great experiences at Cesar's properties. We were really perplexed as to why they had so few machines. I felt like they could have had 3x the machines easily. The selection was pretty thin. Restaurant was good but the hotel room was a lot down. Our AC wasn't working. Called and they said a repair man would come. Waited up till 2am...3 hours and no one came. I stayed dressed waiting. We hardly slept it was so hot. We were so tired and they were supposedly full so they couldn't move us. Bathroom was OK but could have been cleaned better. If your looking for better gaming this isn't the horseshoe you can compare to others.

Wow! What an improvement. At first I waited and waited for a drink, and then the lady that brought it kept saying how she's ready to go home. Over and over. So I found another cocktail server. Once she saw that I tip, pretty well she made the drinks good and was pretty quick with them. Another guy server was also good. Slot attendants were quick to come to my hand pay jackpots, within 10 minutes each time. I saw food places and they are looked very slow which is sad, I will stay there in rooms next time so I have time to try them. But they looked clean and yummy. The layout was open and clean but smaller than the other casinos. I would definitely go back and will be going back. I was in a wheelchair and was able to get around with ease. Way to go Horseshoe!

I asked twice for foam pillows, I never got them. | The 1st night we didn't sleep, the pool speakers were so loud. The 2nd night, when I was returning to our room I noticed a sign that the pool was closed. I got to the room and music was again loud. I called the front desk and the gentleman told me he would take care of it. 20 minutes later I went downstairs and was approaching the front desk and another man asked me if he could help. I again told him about the music and he said that the person who has the key to the room was gone. I told him that they needed to get their stories on the same page. Told him we would never stay there again! The bathroom sink had no hot water. The housekeeping nor front desk must of had polio, not answering. |There was not a REAL CASINO HOST that would review our play nor reduce our charges like The Golden Nugget. |Only good thing was eating at the steak house was delicious.

We were hesitant to stay after reading all the reviews. Glad we gave it a try. This new hotel is DEFINITELY Clean, NO cigarette smell, and the rooms are spacious and again CLEAN!! All the staff we encountered were courteous and attentive. Didn’t get to try out the pool. The drinks were awesome. We didn’t get to try out the restaurants. Only complaint would be to have the valet 24 hours. When we got back after midnight they were closed. But overall a good weekend getaway!

Wonderful hotel. Probably the best value I've gotten in the States. Super clean, super quiet, super comfortable. Bathrooms have a very European feel right down to the Grohë faucets and toilet. I loved the rain head shower. The casino has tons of games. There are several on site restaurants and I received great service and food from each of them. All the staff I came into contact with were super friendly and welcoming. All this for less than the price of a budget motel!! I come through here all the time and will certainly be staying again.

My wife and I have visited The Horseshoe several times. I try to give the management constructive criticisms. Your security and staff are very friendly, and courteous. Gordon R. Is incredible, but you do pay for what you get! Great Steaks. The casino is very clean and well spread out, and not crowded and QUIET. You might ask why? Well the slots are really tight, and part of the ambience with a casino is the Excitement, and SOUND of the Machines. The guest's are attracted to the sounds & lights associated with the new gaming machines. I do hope management figures this out. Please notify me if and when this occurs. Ps I do have a players card, and they do give Vets some special attention. Thank you,

We very much enjoyed our three nights at the Horseshoe. The room was spacious, the front desk people helpful and no kids in the pool!|I was surprised when I googled for best hotels in Lake Charles and got TripAdvisor which did not even list The Horseshoe! I hope that changes because I’m afraid a lot of people may miss out on this Hotel/casino because of TripAdvisor. Rates were good, casino has all the normal games and much less of a crowd. A Grammy award winning Zydeco band on Saturday night in the “Brew” was a bonus

We spent a few days in Lake Charles and were happy to have the opportunity to stay at the Horseshoe Hotel and Casino. This was our second stay at this Ceasars property. We enjoy the cleanliness of the hotel and casino. The front desk and casino floor staff have been awesome. However, each time we have been, our experience with the other services at the property were a bit lacking. For instance, it is difficult to get attentive service in each of the 4 places we ate. I believe it is the lack of personally, because they always seem shorthanded. I recommend visiting the facility. However, from my experience, know that you may have inconsistencies in quality and service when dining.
