We're always looking for different things to do while on vacation. Conway is a cute little town and the museum was a nice find. Lots of various exhibits, including the MB AFB information and closure, to be developed into Market Commons. The story of the Waccamaw Indians, and the development of the town. There is also a complimentary EV charger there which we utilized. The museum is free!
Learned a lot. Very friendly staff. Excellent day at the museum.
It's nice to be able to learn about the history of the new places we visit with the kids. This museum includes the traditional behind glass artifacts as well as 3-d printed models that kids can touch. Everyone enjoyed finding the fish in the aquarium too.
Good place to learn local and South Carolina history. Exhibits have so much variety, you are sure to find something interesting to read, look at, or learn about. It's free and took us about 2 hours to go through.
We stopped by to work on some history and science standards. What better way to learn than to make it part of your everyday life!? We spent about 2 hours here looking at all the artifacts and talking about things. There are two floors and lots to look at! The restrooms are clean and we had fun learning about the people and environment we live in. We applied what we learned driving back through the marshlands and it was nice getting to see my kiddo make the connections and be excited about learning. Enjoy! 😁🙏
Really well done. Worth the trip to see. Great information on the area, it's history and lots of other exhibits that are historical and linked to the area. Takes around an hour to go through if you take the time to read the information.
A nice local history museum. I learned something, so I'd say it was a success! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The kids (6 & 8) enjoyed the old machinery and the animal exhibits.
If you’re looking for something educational and free to do on a rainy day in Myrtle Beach, take a ride over to Conway and visit the Horry County Museum. It was pretty empty the Friday we visited ( July 2022). My youngest son enjoyed the wildlife room with the Bears, alligator and such but I found many of the rooms interesting. There are a lot of things specific to Horry Co /MB history but also many other things, as well. Example… the progression of the washing machine from the beginning to the present.
Fun for the entire family! Tobacco Day was super interesting. The costumed interpretors were so knowledgeable. The staff at each building were well informed about their area of the farm. We will be back in the Fall for seasonal activities.
Very lovely place for dogs to play. They have an agility course. Fresh water. A small dog side and large dog side. Nice trees and plenty of benches to relax and picnic tables for lunch. Well maintained.
I called and ordered and the lady at the bar was so friendly on the phone and super sweet when I picked up! Looks like a fun place to dine in for a special night! The Spicy Salmon Roll, Veggie roll, and Veg. Pad Thai was so tasty, the spicy salmon wa
Went in to get takeout based on their menu online. Food was better than we even hoped for, and portions are very generous. The bill was surprisingly low, and service was excellent. I took a chance and tried a turkey (turkey?! ð) Reuben, and was
Stopped by here on the way back to Georgia, and I must say this was delicious. There was a long line of cars in the drive-thru so we pulled in a slot to order, and I was little concerned due to the quality of service I had received back home. I must
