Horizon Extended Stay Conyers - Extended stay hotel in Conyers - 1385 Old McDonough Hwy, USA

So far I have going here in and out throughout the years the customers service is excellent and I have been dealing with Kristina so far since then… she always make sure my son and is comfortable. I don’t know about the other reviews that I see in the comments but I never had an issue and that doesn’t apply to what’s going on in 2024. I will be back if needed that's for sure - Amber

I stayed here once because the rate at the time was the cheapest I knew of and I was visiting a friend. This place was surprisingly quieter than most and seemed to be somewhat clean. Of course, at this price it is expected, it feels like an extended stay. The kitchenette is nice and the bathroom was good for what it was, do not expect a bath tub though. It could have been cleaner as I saw some questionable, and what looked to be, sexual stain on the wall and a bag with flakes of marijuana in the vent. Both of which I laughed at, again it is an extended stay. If you have a sensitive back do not stay here as the beds are hard. When checking in you pay a, I think $10, deposit for the remote that you get back when you leave. Upon leaving they will make you wait while they make sure you did not damage the room or have pets at any point. I admire the dedication to it. The staff was pretty friendly too. Over all it is an average cheap motel people use to live day to day lives in. But it is not a terrible place to stay. ||||Not sure if this one is like this, but the one a few towns over makes you buy your own toilet paper if you run out of the used roll they have in there and you must pay to clean towels. But this place did not mention any of that nor did I need it.

Housekeepers were very nice. But that’s it. Room smelled old. You get one set of towels and have to buy your own toilet tissue and soap. I’ve traveled a lot and never stayed in a place that charged for everything and offers nothing. After a week of washing my own towels I found a better place with a better price.

Staying in a place for two months gives one a deeper view, this is a very good hotel. The staff maintenance guy and the house keepers are so friendly, the ladies at the front desk are very attentive. The only complaint I have is the key cards are extremely weak and loose their code very fast. If you like nice pillows, bring your own. But the cleanliness and landscape is very well kept.

If you like spiders, roaches, ants, weak A/C, bed covers and furniture with cigarette burns, then this is the place for you. Enjoy drug dealers conducting business all night in the room next to you, prostitutes and domestic fights in the breezeway till 3am, you will be right at home. Think you might want to make a complaint to the "manager/ower" you might want to pass. The owners son (acting owner manager) is a angry, nosy, poorly educated, vindictive little man with a napoleon complex. Like dirty rooms? Then even when "cleaned" still have hair from the previous guest all over the shower walls, perfect! Stay here. Towels available upon request but even then, they have hair still in them from whoever used it last. They have a laundry room for guest. But it's always in use all day by the staff to wash the hotel laundry. Then it's closed early so you can't do your laundry after the staff is done. The parking lot is full of nails, screws and broke down vehicles. They cops are a constant presence, which I guess is nice since they have no security. I could go on but I think you get the point. Positive stuff. The girls who work there are sweet and try to be helpful as much as possible. The rooms have a good cable package. But I have lived in third world countries that were better to stay in than this place.

Ok boys and girls this is an 'extended stay' low cost motel operation. As such you get all manner of folks doing just that; staying for extended periods of time. This includes people who have no where else to stay for an extended period of time, transient workers (construction, business, sales folks), and off the road travelers. It is not suppose to be top notch, nor is it suppose to be high class. It is a little dated but each room has a refer, a small stove, a small microwave, AC unit, table, chairs, and an older TV. Room service is not daily (this is extended stay remember), and the amenities are sparse (a few towels, soap, no close hangers, no iron board + iron, etc). IF you are in line and ok with all that, then this may be a place you might consider. If you are more upscale, do NOT stay here you will not like it. No in room safe, AC unit was next to the bed and IMHO too close. ||OH a major consideration!!! I booked my stay through my airline and was somewhat dismayed that Horizon had no record of my reservation. Did the old call the 1-800 number and they, the booking service that is, not only flat out lied (I was put on hold and subsequently standing three feet away from the hotel manager as she was having a side phone call with the booking service), they tried to squirm out of the situation and shift all the responsibility to me directly. Horizon does not have the big chain reservation system and expect the booking service to send a FAX direct to the motel, which my booking service did not do. SO! If you decide to stay here, make your reservations your self; call them they will give you the same rates or even better.

Nice place, was very clean. Management was very friendly. Only thing I was could had a complaint would be, they show room rates lower, then say Oh! All the rooms are gone. Funny butt it was 12 noon had to wait for most people to check out before I could even get a room. When I did hotel was mostly emty. I still had a good stay, just felt used though.

I went to this location as I was traveling interstate to my final location in SC. i went to the window and all the staff who were present including a small older Korean lady who I believed to be the owner, were all clueless as to what they were doing. The owner was so noticably rude to me and her employees, that the employees did not even appear as if they wanted to be there..NOT GOOD. After 20 minutes of trying to checked in, i finally got to my room.... totally disappointed...I was not expecting the Ritz ..but I was surely not hoping to land in the pitts either. The room had a strong distained odor of old cigarette smoke, the carpet was noticably filthy brown..over burgundy carpet..the bathroom was cold and moldy, the bedsheets and pillow cases had light brown stains as is they had not been washed for the week. I was so disgusted by the room I went to get a refund. Again everyone was clueless. I know that this location is supposed to be a transitional and optional long term residential location for struggling folks, but I would never bring my family to that location, not for a long term or for 10 minutes.... I went across the street to the Microtel inn and suites. Paid a little more but a much better location.
