As a singular female traveler and an extreme introvert I absolutely loved my stay at this hostel and 100% look forward to returning each time! There is something very magical about this place. The energy is unmatched! Everyone here makes sure that you are very comfortable and have everything that you need throughout your stay. Everything is kept very clean! I was very comfortable throughout my stay with the cleanliness, and they keep the temperature very comfortable. They have everything that you can possibly need to enjoy your stay. A comfortable clean bed with fresh clean linen provided upon arrival pillow and blanket. Clean bathroom with locking door as well as a majestic outdoor shower area that made me feel like I was back in Indonesia. There is an entire restaurant style kitchen where you can prepare your food and they have all of the attends, etc., that you would need to do so. The grounds are a tranquil oasis and the pool is an all natural spring fed filtered with natural coral rock. Surveillance and security is top-tier! I recommend this place to anyone and all as I look forward to return time and time again!
Over a decade ago this beautiful oasis and the amazing people there helped to change my and many others lives.
A unique energy resides in this place which will endure. From the waterfall aquifer pool to the tree fort and gazebo, all areas of this wonderful retreat hold endless stories and memories for numerous souls.
Though this spot may not be everyone's cup of tea, with an open mind the possibilities are endless here.
Great location with accessibility to the Everglades or Keys, I wish the current owners blessings and positive energy to help create more incredible experiences for the times to come.
Place is relatively clean and has such good decor. However, I would personally like to complain about the man running the hostel/behind the counter Justin. He was EXTREMELY rude and disrespectful and unkind ever since i checked into the hostel last spring break in march. He constantly gave me and some people an attitude, allowed some people to openly smoke in the rooms. i remember one time i politely asked for more towels/blankets and he shouted at me “NO!” and just blew me off in a huff and left me stunned and upset. absolutely TERRIBLE customer service. I highly recommend, or even DEMAND that he be FIRED so he can no longer treat any other customer like this ever again. otherwise, appropriate action and discipline must be taken!!!!!!! This hostel was wonderful, and the staff, especially Justin, were very welcoming and friendly. The rooms were of good quality for a hostel, and the price was very reasonable.
The backyard was a great place to relax, and the animals there made it feel like home. The cozy environment was very inviting.
We would definitely stay here again.
I had been a guest previously and always found the place hospitable until recently. Druggies and an unsafe area to begin with and then Mike Hoos didn't care to have conversation with a guest who contributed to the light bill! Yeah the place sucks. It's a dump with bandaids. DUMP.
You may wonder why I give everything 3 stars, and then rate it 4 stars overall. The answer is that the back courtyard of this place is magical. Natural well water waterfall. Beautiful large shady tree with a tree fort the children and adults can climb. Rabbits roaming free. Cute cats. Lights wrapped around the tree trunks. Laser tag for the kids. If that was it, I'd give it a 5.
Some downsides though. It's a hostel. We had the family room. Four bunk beds. Very thin mattresses. Window air conditioner that seemed to have no controls. Plug-in air freshener that we promptly unplugged because it made things worse. A large cockroach that hung around the shower which we caught and released outside.
Big, big change from other places we stayed at.
Not sure if the owner is able to financially, but if he could work on upgrading the rooms, and keep the back courtyard the way it is, he'd have a winner.

18 mins from Biscayne NP. Near Everglades. Two great restaurants literally next door.
I could not believe the beautiful ficus tree with climbing net. So laid back. Some areas are a work in progress - I'm cool with that. I will always stay here when in the area. Great hostel experience. Clean sheets and bathroom.
We occasionally find this paradise of sweets on our journey to the Everglades. The best key lime pie we ever had. The original and guava flavor are the best while the rest are also delicious. It should be on the must-go list for every South Florida v

We came for breakfast and really enjoyed everything that we ordered (coffee, eggs, sausages, home fries, French toast, omelette, and steak+eggs).
They have so many seafood options and Iâd love to come back and try their lunch and dinner offerings.
I visited Top Taste Jamaican Restaurant on my way to Key West and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and quantity of the food. The jerk chicken was tender and flavorful, the rice and peas were cooked to perfection, and the plantains were sweet
