Hong Kong Inn - Chinese restaurant in Lincoln Park - 4245 Dix Hwy, USA

My first order from here—Orange Chicken. I ordered with Chicken Fried Rice. Chicken was tender. But, other than that—unfortunately I’m not impressed. The food was very bland. The rice didn’t have much flavor and I could barely taste any orange in the sauce or on the chicken. In my takeout container, there was about two tablespoons of sauce, hardly enough to spoon over the chicken. And, putting a few pieces of orange on top of rice in my order didn’t do anything to improve the rice. (That’s a kitchen trick that doesn’t work). The egg roll included with the dinner was also bland; the plum sauce helped a lot. Please improve the orange sauce—make the sauce taste like orange—and put more sauce in with orders. I ordered here on Christmas Day, when my preferred Chinese restaurant was closed.

Honestly this is a hidden gem. All of the staff are SO nice and they give you tons of food. My wife and I love ordering from this place since it seems to be a little less greasy than the places around our house.

Came to town for work, we decided to stop in and try this place based on the reviews, boy were we not disappointed!! Absolutely delicious! The soup flavorful and tasty. The crab cheese Rangoon were amazing and the Beef Cantonese chow mein was yummy!! When we come back next year this is going to be one of the places we visit again!!

I had 2 people recommended me this Chinese restaurant. Ordered almond chicken orange chicken and Sweet ans sour chicken Chicken taste bad, have a aftertaste small portion on the food. Over price cost $43 And it was my first time going I will never going back there again

Not asked size while ordering for soup, automaticly charged for largest ones they have, no spoons for gigantic soups, crab ragoons burned. Honestly was looking forward to this meal all day, instead got charged over $40 for food that's barely edible. Save yourself the time and money and don't make the trip. Sweet and sour chicken is very greesey as well as the sauce watered down. Do not recommend

Incredible take out joint. Amazing lo mein with fried rice and the egg rolls will make your knees buckle. Fresh and fast when ordered over the phone. Big portions. Only place I get take out Chinese from now.

Carryout only, so atmosphere is non existent. The service is ok. But the food is very good. Flavor is just right.
