5 stars! Loved our room. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Ms. Karen is the best! Maintenance staff was amazing too! Would definitely stay here again. Beautiful quiet location but also so close to lots!

This has been by far one of the most pleasant experiences I’ve had. If any of you follow my reviews, you know that I am a very difficult customer and a hard review, so that should speak as to how great this experience was. I want to first give a shout out to Karen, she was absolutely wonderful and made me feel like I was a part of her family. This is just because that’s who she was. There was nothing initiated by me that would have made her have to behave that way, all of the staff at this location are some of the best staff in the industry. That coming from me says a lot.||I don’t understand some reviewers saying that the rooms are not good. They are fresh, clean, and the beds are very comfortable. There were a few small issues such as a broken light shade in the kitchen, but everything else was handled so well that that’s hardly an issue. Someone else showed stained carpeting, ingeniously enough that is the pattern of the carpet, no doubt to hide stains, but pretty crafty! There was no trash laying around, it was quiet, and it was a really great experience. |The breakfast in the morning was not lacking and each day had something a little different. It was not your typical “Hampton Inn“ breakfast, it was more than that.||I can 1000% say that if I am ever in this area again, I will be back. It is so close to the Colosseum, the USS Wisconsin, Newport news, and other restaurants attractions, etc. ||To be fair, I will try to list some negatives, and this will be hard. I guess if I had to say something was wrong it would be that the hotel does not have a loading and unloading area, which is slightly frustrating, but not a dealbreaker I guess the only other complaint I have is times in the lobby the coffee was cold but again, not a real issue. One other thing that’s not really a complaint, but a design issue is that if you’re traveling with a family just take note that the sink and mirror are outside of the shower/toilet area. This is fine if you were one or two people, but if you are sleeping in the bedroom, there is no door separating the sink /closet area and the light will come right out into the bedroom area. Not a big deal, it’s a design thing but I guess it’s good to keep it on the radar.||There is really no reason why you should not stay here so if it’s on your list, then I say do it! A+ well done staff!

Very nice place. Went for our anniversary. Staff was very helpful and attentive. Breakfast was good. Selections were on a schedule in the room. Terin very attentive to our questions. Karen also answered our questions quickly. I would stay again if in the area.

We moved here from TX and needed a place to stay until we were able to move into our new home. We were absolutely unsatisfied with the Hotel itself. The rooms are super outdated and not very clean. We had to switch rooms twice - the first room was filthy, the second room had a broken AC, so we had to go through the hassle of packing up everything (including our cat and all the cat items) which was exhausting. The night without a working AC was a nightmare. The only reason we stayed for the remaining days was the Manager Diana. She was very understanding and was doing everything in her power to make us feel comfortable. It was absolutely not her fault that the hotel needs major updates - new rugs!!! - I was wearing my house shoes and the bottom was black after walking on the carpet, new showers and most importantly a thorough cleaning. If you take a close look everything is dirty. The vents, the baseboards, the doors, the light switches - don't even want to know how much bacteria there are in the filthy carpet. So whoever owns this hotel, needs to put money into it and appreciate the great work Diana is doing to keep guests happy.

This trip was not a good experience, mainly due to first impression appearance. It appears that Management and General Management care too much about the appearance of their establishment. The pictures I post will explain perfectly. The elevators smell and the mural is peeling badly. The hallways on the 4th floor carpet are filthy looking. The wall strips that keep the wallpaper from peeling have all been ripped off. On top of that, we were awakened to a fire detector alarm around 11:30 pm. Management did not alert anyone so I walked downstairs to report it to the front desk. They said they were aware and it happens all the time in that particular room. Obviously, it is a long term stay family living there and they burned a pot on the stove again, I was told. The fix to the problem was Management calling the room to tell them to open their window to release the smell. Now for the breakfast area: The food was just okay, but most of the furniture is dingy and wobbly. This entire place needs new fresh eyes on it to offer paying customers at least a 4 🌟 experience.

Great hotel and service! They were solicitous of our cats. Ms. Karen and Sean are superb front desk professionals! The hotel is in excellent condition. The bed was comfortable. The breakfast was superb! This is a great hotel and accepts pets. We highly recommend it.

Stayed here for a weekend and it was a decent, good stay. The staff were all pretty friendly, polite and did their best not to show too much frustration especially given the challenges they were facing that were completely out of their control - I checked in on the day/weekend the global CrowdStrike outage occurred. This affected the stay because I had to have them let me into the room everytime I came back. At the hotel location, I know that's kind of out of their control but it was interesting since family members were staying at other hotels (within the same brand family) that were able to get at least one key to access their rooms. Anyways, I truly appreciate them giving me a complimentary upgrade for my room. And again, they were pretty polite and hospitable. The room was spacious but I eventually did see some stains on chairs and the floor. An okay stay for a decent price, but will try another hotel next time I'm down there.

For starters, I was blown away by the service we experienced from Kelly at the front desk. My oldest son has celiac disease, and I'd flagged on our reservation that we'd need gluten free breakfast accomodation for him during our stay. When we checked in, I was told to stop by the desk in the morning before going to breakfast because Kelly wanted to talk to me about gluten free breakfast info. I did as suggested, and learned that she had diligently checked all the packaging and ingredient lists for the various food items. I was able to go to my anxious 10 year old with a full report on which foods were safe and which were not. That of course doesn't help with cross-contamination, which is always a concern at a buffet, but hotels can't help with that. He didn't get sick, and greatly enjoyed his breakfast each day. He's been gluten free for 8 years and I've never had a hotel go to that length for us before. ||Beyond that, the breakfast was fairly typical hotel breakfast fare, with a waffle station, various types of eggs each day, a protein like sausage or ham, and a few different cereals, yogurts and fruit (plus bread products, but most of us steer clear of those out of consideration for my celiac son). Definitely don't pass on the ham though--it was really good!||Otherwise, the rest of our stay was great. The room was clean and quiet, and no complaints about the comfort of the beds. A couple of the dishes seemed to have been run through the dishwasher and needed to be re-washed but otherwise that was fine. ||A few nitpicks--the elevators had lots of scratches and dings in the photos lining the walls, but eh that's not a big deal to me. One of the treadmills didn't work, but the gym wasn't busy so it was easy to have other choices of equipment.||Easy parking, nice location close to groceries, restaurants, a movie theater, and main roads. I recommend this one for families for sure!
