Homewood Suites by Hilton Wilmington/Mayfaire - Extended stay hotel in Wilmington - 6732 Swan Mill Rd, USA

The Homewood Suites Mayfaire is my favorite hotel in Wilmington. I stay at no other hotel. The entire facility is top notch and is located near many restaurants, shops and Wrightsville Beach. The staff is wonderful and always makes my family feel welcome. In fact, they treat us as family. The property has dedicated management and many individuals go above and beyond to make our stays perfect. Of special note, Stephen always takes the time to accommodate our needs and makes sure each stay is special. Great job!

The front desk and customer service was outstanding. Peter and Mrs Edna was a delight and made sure we had everything we need and a pleasant stay. The only minus was the room service, we didn't receive any the several days we were here, so it's wise to ask for it in advance for towels etc. It was still a great overall stay! Thanks again Edna and Peter.

We’ve stayed at this location 7 nights over the past year. Edna at the front desk is a gem…love her so much. |We encountered a small issue, lack of cleanliness of our room, during our most recent stay and Steve made sure to correct it for us. He was amazing the whole weekend. |This hotel has a small bar which was hopping all 3 nights we were here for the holiday weekend. |Also, there is a hot tub and heated pool outside which was fun to relax in on NYE. |Check out this hotel when making plans to stay in Wilmington!

This hotel is in a great location but I can't recommend anyone to stay here. First impressions, the room is very nice. Plenty of room, very good looking. However, that was the last good thing about this place. - TV - The TV feels like something out of the 1990s. Crappy scrolling guide from spectrum with no decent channels. - Bed - I have no idea what was going on with the bed. They had what looked like a mattress pad for a queen size bed as a blanket for the king size bed in the room. We had to strip everything off and just sleep with the sheets because it was so messed up. Where were the blankets? It was also the worst mattress I've ever had in a hotel. Nothing but lumps and a huge sag to the middle. - Toilet paper - Really? No extra toilet paper? Just one on the roll, don't use too much. - Employees - The guy at the front desk looked like a homeless guy. Dirty shirt and not very friendly. I could go on but you get the idea. Hilton used to be better than this.

Amazing!!!! Rooms are clean and beds are extremely comfortable. My only complaint would be the shower pressure. The staff are amazing!!! ALL OF THEM!!! They were all so welcoming and accommodating. I felt like I was staying with a friend. Well done y'all. I would definitely recommend this location.

Was in town for a 3-day business conference at the hotel, received awesome service from the start of my stay with Miss Edna, welcoming me and from there on, it was continued with great service from the General Manager, Ronda, and her staff! Breakfast lady was so sweet and pleasant as well! Would highly recommend!

I rented a room for a family Thanksgiving gathering in the area. Unfortunately, at the last minute I had to delay my trip by one day because of work. Circumstances were beyond my control, which Hilton Customer Service and local staff understood without objection. I spoke with Peter (local) and Hilton Customer Service, both of which went out of the way to make things right, although they could have declined. It was like a holiday gift, unexpectedly superb customer service in this day and age. I can't thank them all enough. They treated me like a human rather than merely a booking. As for the hotel itself, the facility was well-kept, and the room was clean, quiet, spacious, and comfortable. The breakfast hit the spot, and it's more robust than cereal and bananas. The location is very convenient to Wrightsville Beach. This was without a doubt one of the best hotel stay experiences I've ever had. Great job! Thanks all!

The staff was really nice. Excellent location to walk to shopping and nearby restaurants. We had a power outage during our stay due to a storm. FYI, there is no generator to power the whole building, so if you are traveling and know it may be bad weather, it's not the best option. Some rooms had AC, and others didn't. Power was randomly on different circuits. It was definitely an interesting situation for all. Luckily, it got handled, and the power came back on before bedtime. We like the size of suites. But many things need to be cleaned and replaced. Our shower curtain smelled terrible. There was tile broken in the bathrooms along the tub. Microwaves and floors were super dirty. The carpets needed to be replaced. Next renovation just ditch the carpets. It's much cleaner and healthier for all. Overall, our stay was pleasant, and time spent with family is priceless, but unless they get a generator and renovate, we probably won't return.
