Homewood Suites by Hilton Williamsburg - Extended stay hotel in Williamsburg - 601 Bypass Rd, USA

We picked this hotel because we wanted our family of 4 to have a bit of space. We also like the idea of having a kitchen so we weren’t eating out for every meal. The location was perfect. We had the Williamsburg triangle tickets and we were pretty close (driving distance) to everything. There were tons of restaurants close by and we found a few grocery stores down the road. The hotel itself seemed a bit dated. Our room had visible water damage and mold on the ceiling. The room was otherwise clean. The beds were comfy. We had a good amount of space and the kitchen came in handy throughout our trip. The hotel gym was surprisingly well equipped and a decent size. We aren’t early risers when we’re on vacation, so we never made it downstairs before 9am to try the breakfast. If you’re traveling with family and aren’t expecting luxury accommodations, this place is a pretty good option.

The hotel is nothing short of amazing! Big beautiful rooms with a full kitchen and full bathrooms! Plenty of TV's and very spacious! Super clean hotel and friendly employees! Only thing that could make it better would be a better breakfast! Hilton should serve omelettes and other hot breakfast foods! If they changed there breakfast I'd rate it five stars across the board! Indoor pool and store in the hotel. So u really don't have to leave if u don't want to venture out!

We stayed in room 502 I just want to start off by saying the staff is very friendly and helpful! Housekeeping was always pleasant, said good morning , asked if we needed anything and engaged with my daughter. We didn't need housekeeping everyday but when they were in the hallway they were always super friendly. The front desk and breakfast attendants were also friendly and helpful. -The mini kitchen was nice to have when we came back from the park and just wanted to make a quick meal. The rooms were clean and well put together. Great location, close to everything. - only reason I would not stay here again is the beds, they were clean but extremely firm and uncomfortable for me. My husband had no issues but I wound up sleeping on the couch every night. - the shower pressure was extremely high, again not that I would normally complain but it was so high water was all over the floor. We did our best to avoid it but you could tell there was significant wall damage because of the water coming out of the shower.

I stayed here for multiple days over the holidays. I had a place to stay and breakfast on Christmas day when so many restaurants are closed, and I appreciated that. So I'm reluctant to write a bad review, but this stay certainly merits it. Let me begin with the positives: Staci at the front desk and the housekeeping staff were so sweet and accommodating. (They spared their hotel a one-star review.) And generally the hotel was clean; our room certainly was, though it tended to have a musty smell occasionally. Now for the bad: It began with check-in where I was not recognized as a Hilton Diamond member, let alone offered the complimentary water and snack I would ordinarily expect. The HVAC was about the noisiest I've encountered in a hotel. There was no towel bar at the sink to hang a hand-towel. The toilet refilled very slowly, though Maintenance did come in to work on it and made some marginal improvement. Hot water with which to shave was hard to come by. Did two or three cold shaves during my stay. Ouch. The juices at breakfast were watered down nearly every day, even if I was there to eat early. The oatmeal was also watery, and they lacked any of the normal Hilton add-ons I expect, like sliced almonds, brown sugar, raisins, etc. Half of the staff attending to the breakfast area looked miserable to be there. One kind gentleman out of the crew was very nice and greeted us each day. Finally, I would expect that if they advertise coffee/hot water being available at all hours, that it actually IS available and not empty or cold, as I experienced. Poor.

We like very much the Homewood concept. It allows our family to spend a nice accomodation with a very convenient location. It has been our forth time in a Homewood hotel. But in this ocassion the water of the pool was terrible. It had a strong smell of chemicals (not just the ordinary chlorine smell), and the sensation on the skin was awfull. Everything else was good.

One of the best hotel experiences I have had. The staff was friendly, the hotel was very quiet and clean. The rooms were beautiful and spacious. Ours had two full bathrooms and a full kitchen with two bedrooms, it was glorious for a big family. The kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was great. We were expecting a continental breakfast, but it was a full blown breakfast with all the extras.

This is a decent hotel. The location is great (though left hand turns out of the parking lot can be difficult). The rooms could use a refresh and the furniture should be moved when cleaning. Breakfast didn’t provide a lot of options, but the breakfast staff was very kind and accommodating (they made some eggs without the ham for my vegetarian wife). For those that aren’t “dog people” be aware that this is an VERY dog-friendly hotel. It’s also not very quiet. AT ALL. This isn’t because of the dogs (although there was a lot of loud barking), there was just a lot of noise. Overall, I’d consider staying here again, but it’s not a standout.

Overall we really enjoyed this stay. We started off at the big Hilton Timeshare resort not far from Homewood Suites but had to leave due to being harassed by security over parking in which they were wrong. The next day at the other resort the power went off in only our building for as far as we could see. They made no effort to accommodate us to a unit with power. Homewood suites took us in for a fair price. Only issue is that our room at Homewood had no utensils and the evening desk guy made no effort to get us some spoons. I ended up going to the coffee area and found some clean spoons. Otherwise, the breakfast at Homewood was great and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
