Hubby and I spent two night at this Tucson hotel. The location was great. The room, bed and pillows were great too. Breakfast was included and delicious. We were happy there was a nice Mexican restaurant right in the same parking lot. Hotels workers were all very nice. The only negative was our room had a funny food odor that stuck around for the 2 nights we were there. Other than that everything was wonderful. I would highly recommend.

Location is great and close to restaurants. We had a bottom room suite and stayed with our 4 kids and my parents had a room on an upper level. Reasons it’s not good for kids: sharp knives and other utensils are easily accessible in the bottom drawer, on the bottom floor room there is no way to childproof the door that goes out to the pool, the pool is smaller and can get packed quickly, my parents upper level room didn’t have a screen in the window. Breakfast was limited and they use glassware.

I would not recommend this hotel if you are staying with small children. We were in the pool when a huge group (20-30) of teenagers came and started doing cannonballs and splashing until our kids were crying and wanted to leave. Several hotel staff walked by during this and said nothing. When we went to get out, we found they had thrown their wet stuff all over our dry clothes and phones that were sitting on a table. That night we heard this same group of teenagers running up and down the halls screaming while we tried to sleep. The next day we went to the Desert Museum and came back to regroup before dinner. Our kids were being noisy but it was 5 pm and we were only back for 45 minutes so we let it go. The front desk lady came and banged on our door asking us to be quiet and then called our room about two minutes later complaining we still weren’t quiet enough. I’ll admit we could have been quieter, but considering the time of day and the level of noise we had experienced in the hotel, it did not seem like a big deal. Also, anyone who has toddlers knows it takes more than two minutes to quiet them down. She clearly didn’t go after the high schoolers who were loud for HOURS in the middle of the night with the same ferocity. Other reasons this isn’t good for kids: giant kitchen knives placed in the bottom drawer in the kitchen (found my two year old with one), loud music across the street in the plaza until 11 at night, and really awful breakfast. The furniture is very uncomfortable- the arm chair sits so upright that you’re tipped forward. The couch needs new stuffing. The beds are saggy and bed to be replaced and the pillows are very flat. It also claims to be “green.” Only evidence of this is that they have recycling bins. Said recycling bins in the halls were stuffed full of garbage. All the cutlery at breakfast is disposable plastic. Will not return. Do not recommend if you’re not 17.

As I'm writing this we are coming up on our last week here, equaling a total of three weeks of staying here. First impressions, nice hotel but not in the most convenient location(in a plaza area with other businesses). Let me say the area wasn't bad but it's in a very high trafficked area but it is close to a lot of places. The hotel is a little outdated and the rooms could use a little better cleaning. We had to switch rooms because the door to the bedroom was broken and you had to yank it open, which made for really loud noises. In our now room you can tell where they hadn't cleaned the side tables or walls. There was one day the water had shut off and we don't know why but it was for a short time. Breakfast was pretty plentiful and had so many options. I felt some mornings were better than others but it didn't lack options. The Wednesday social was also nice. It's just a small dinner or refreshments but best to get there when it first starts otherwise, food will run out. Especially if there are a lot of families. Pool was pretty great until it broke. For the longest time nobody had any idea when it would be up and running but they did say we could drive to their sister hotel ten minutes away and use their pool. Obviously not convenient but an option if kids are getting bored, or find a local pool and/or splash pad. Parking was plenty until the weekend. If they have any markets or concerts going on expect to not have a place to park. Hotel doesn't have specified parking and don't care if their guests don't have a place to park, so expect to walk. We didn't realize this until our last weekend and there was a concert going on. We had to park quite a bit a ways away and walk to the hotel. I had gone up to the front desk to see what the deal was and she was quite rude. It was just a quick question and at the time nobody was standing in front of her and she very rudely said, "I am in the middle of checking someone in, so you'll have to wait." The gentleman in the pantry piped up and said he had heard it was a concert and the front desk lady looked at him and said, "Oh, are you trying to do my job now?" He apologized and I was like wow, ok. She then said, " The hotel has plenty of parking in the back." I told her there wasn't and we had to walk so I just wondered what was going on. She then ignored me after that. Kind of like she didn't really care. I went back and asked for her name(Didi Serrano), she told me really quickly and so I asked how she spelled it and she grabbed her name tag, slammed it on the counter and said, "Is there something I can help you with?" I told her nope, thanks and walked away. Maybe the hotel, on nights there are concerts, can let people know so they can be prepared for it. Up to this point we have had a pretty decent stay. Ceiling fan was great to have, beds were comfy, pillows were comfy, housekeeping was on top of it if we needed our room cleaned up(and yes, most of the housekeepers don't speak English or very little). Front desk was always helpful and friendly until now. We'd switch hotels but at this point it's a pain to pack everything up with only a week left, plus I don't think, with our reservation, they'd allow us to cancel. My hope is the pool will be fixed before we have to leave so we can enjoy it one last time and that I'll not have to deal with Didi again. With all the being said, I would not stay here again and would not recommend to others. *Edited to add the laundry pricing. On the wall it says 1.75 per load, the machines say 1.50 but they only accept Pay range and that charges 2.50* **Pics are to show some of the stains and markings on wall and side table, some parts of the room and the pool notice.**

The rooms need some updating. I like that there was a living room and bedroom with a small kitchenette. I found it interesting that rooms can accommodate six people, but there were only supplies for 3. We enjoyed the location.

I’m a loyal Hilton Hotels member and have stayed at many Homewood Suites hotels over the years, but this was our first stay at this particular Tucson property. Unfortunately, it will likely be our last. Our disappointments with this property included 1) not being greeted as Hilton Honors guests (after traveling for 24 hours), 2) difficulty getting a suite with a requested safe bathroom (we finally had to settle for smaller suite with a view of a rooftop, instead of the mountains or pool) and 3) difficulty getting housekeeping. On the positive side the location was convenient and the bed was comfortable. All in all we’ll look to stay at another hotel the next time we visit family in Tucson.

Will not be staying again. Did a small getaway, and it was a mistake doing that here. Our first night, we had to get our rooms switched because our shower leaked all over the floor and the TV wouldn't work. The new room was so hot at first that we couldn't cool it down until the sun went down around 8 pm. Spent most of our time out of the room since the hallway outside was cooler than our room. The last night we were there, our room started leaking, so we had to listen to the constant dripping of water in the trashcan all night. The last big issue we had was that the pool was closed the entire time we were there. They had a sign saying we could go to a different location 10mins away, only they offered no showers or ability to change if we went.

I will not recommend this hotel to anyone. In fact I will deter people from staying here due to is extremely poor customer service. There was no water supply for a number of hours at the hotel. The hotel did manage to get water supply restored however now we have no hot water. This is our second day and there is absolutely no clarity on when it will be restored. Site manager is missing, the local staff has a condescending attitude and are unable to communicate any details about restoration of hot water. We have 20 rooms, guests include kids and seniors and are here for a family wedding, which clearly will now be impacted. Management needs training in communication and crisis management. Quite terrible customer service.
