Homewood Suites by Hilton @ The Waterfront - Extended stay hotel in Wichita - 1550 Waterfront, USA

We cross the country twice a year, spending 4 months in hotels as retirees traveling the USA — and we love the Homewood’s. But this Homewood is far and away the very best in the nation. And from our experience easily the best hotel in the nation, too. Every aspect of the hotel experience is exceptional here, starting with wonderful staffers like Sage who helped choreograph our room being ready by phone as we approached town… to friendly faces like Alison who made us feel so very welcome checking in and who stayed in touch via text to make certain all was well… to the tech-savvy Matthew who came to our rescue when grappling with the touch-screen computers in the lavish Business Center Library. The hotel just shines it’s so clean and classy. There’s a fitness room with the usual machines, a giant laundry room, an indoor pool and jacuzzi surrounded with sitting areas and loads of towels, ice machine on the first floor near Room 118 — and just wait until you feast on the lavish breakfast spread here. Delicious scrambled eggs and egg pockets, quiche, breads/bagels, potatoes, biscuits/gravy, bacon, oranges/bananas, oatmeal, yogurts, individual milk cartons (fat free and 2%), fresh-baked apple turnovers (not kidding) and self-serve coffee/latte machine. We were here 2 years ago and the hotel was rated #1. It’s still rated #1 out of 99 in Wichita. No surprise. A very good show and congratulations to you and your amazing staff, GM Shana!

Had an overnight stay for a girls day out. Very nice place. Sayge was great!!! She took care of us and gave good recommendations. Hot tub was perfect. Breakfast was yummy. Beds cozy!!! Definitely coming back.

This is a very, very nice hotel and property in a very good, safe area. The staff is very friendly and works hard to keep the place clean and nice. This staff shows pride in their hotel, and it shows. The grounds are like a park, and we felt safe walking around the property at night. The room was clean, and there was a full kitchen. Breakfast was decent, perhaps a little better than standard Hilton free breakfasts. Improvements - Bed was too firm, and I had to improvise with the quilted blanket (which, by the way, is way too hot to use) and use it as extra bed padding. Also, the a/c was either too cold or too hot, and the toilet didn't flush all that well. Otherwise, this place was great.

We travel between Iowa and Texas a few times a year and have tried many hotels in Wichita as a halfway point. We discovered Homewood Suites earlier this year and it is our favorite. The front desk staff is so friendly my kids asked how they knew us and when we became so important. Shout out to Anna for her interactions with them. The hotel is very clean and well appointed, and has extras that our traveling family appreciates. We have used the putting green, basketball court, pool, hot tub, and enjoyed the outdoor patio overlooking the pond. Breakfast has more hot options than you see at a standard hotel breakfast. We also love that it's close to I-35 and within walking distance to restaurants. It's our new favorite place to stay!

Man... is this the best Hilton property I've stayed in in awhile, from the second I entered, to the second I left. Very friendly employees (I didn't even have to ask for the free hilton honors bottled water!), and amazing rooms. I stayed in room 308 and had an excellent view of the Wichita waterfront. The location is what makes this hotel a hidden gem... so many restaurants and shopping opportunities. Definitely will be back!

I travel to Wichita once per month for work and I’m always looking for a new hotel to stay at. I’ve stayed at the Tru Hilton, and a few of the Hampton Inn and Suites that were now where as nice as this hotel. This is my new favorite hotel!!! The customer service was great. The room was clean and spacious. The view from my room over looked a gazebo, a mini golf course and water. There are also several restaurants in the area. The only thing I’m said about is I tried to book for December and no rooms where available at the GSA rate but I will definitely be back in January. If you are traveling through Wichita I definitely recommend this hotel!

Awesome service and impeccable cleanliness. The whole experience from the reception to check out was phenomenal. Every team member was eager to answer and help with the smile on their face. Superb customer service and location. Would definitely come back again

The hotel is really nice inside and out. Our first time staying here and the check in was easy and the staff was awesome. We stayed in a two bedroom suite with a full kitchen and living area. The rooms were very clean. I will definitely stay here again whether it's a two suite or regular room. Also, check out was easy.
