Homewood Suites by Hilton St. Petersburg Clearwater - Extended stay hotel in Clearwater - 2233 Ulmerton Rd, USA

Great little hotel... Very nice staff - great breakfast spread each morning. Rooms are comfortable and reasonably updated. The *heated* pool was enjoyed by the kids (too chilly outside for the adults) and the hotel parking was very nice. Located close to major expressways and made it easy to get around. Close to restaurants and gas stations and whatever else you may need!

This hotel is awful. The woman working this evening when we checked in was awful. She was so rude. The room we were given was awful. The table was broken. The garbage was full. The room to replace that was is awful. The fridge is broken. The floor sticker tiles are all warped. The room smells horribly. I am too exhausted to continue searching for a room in good repair and too poor to leave and find another hotel on NYE. Hilton should be ashamed to have their name on this hotel.

Rooms are good size, breakfast is decent, and location is great. You can tell the hotel is older but the biggest issue for me was MOLD in my room. All vents were covered and the smell was awful. Had a hectic schedule and since I was traveling solo I decided to "tough" it out instead of escalating. Also had to assume that the rest of the hotel floor was in equal shape. Elevator didn't work so people had to use emergency stairwells with their luggage, etc. Will look for a different place next time.

Front staff was very bad except in the morning. They don't have a working elevator, a working ice machine except in the kitchen so must request ice from front desk. My wife requested ice at 11pm and was told to make their own ice in the refrigerator. No ice machine in the refrigerator but they had ice trays... she stood her ground and asked again and they reluctantly gave her some. They were not busy at all. TV in the room didn't work and when I called front desk they said they do not have maintenance on until the next day. No one ever came to fix the next day or even inquired if I still needed it. When I checked in the door lock batteries were dead and instead of listening to me telling the front desk that the light was red.. she kept redoing my door key and sending me all the way back to check if it worked. The room service lady was so very kind and helpful when front desk was worthless. The maintenance guy that fixed the door also agreed that the front desk lady was worthless. The buffet attendant was also very kind and accommodating. Food was ok. Pool was over chlorinated and had a strong chemical smell (outdoor). This hotel looks like it was flooded and never fixed. Our bathroom door looked like someone put a fist through it and never fixed it. Will not stay again and wouldn't recommend anyone to stay here. Hilton has gone down hill..

I check-in the hotel on 01/08/24. Originally I was supposed to be there for 4 nights. I noticed the hotel is somewhat dated and needed upgrades. But out of my control this was a business trip. Once in room, it had a mold smell. What top the cake i fell asleep and woke up with bed bugs. The front desk had 1 room available which was on the 2nd floor. The original one was on the first. I felt that they were to close and very uncomfortable to stay so I checked out. The staff during the whole check-in process and once they discovered the room had a bed bug was very courteous.

This hotel has a very at home feel. Perfect for a family stay. It's located right across the street from the grocery store, so the stove top and microwave come in handy in case you want to save time and money. There are also many restaurants close by, including a Panera bread as soon as you walk out the door. The complimentary breakfast was not luxurious but it was fresh. My only complaint would be that the elevator closest to my room was down. This didn't bother me until I had to carry the luggage down.

I booked a large banquet room for my mom's celebration of life. Alex who is the sales manager. Was awesome. She made sure all the tables were set up. Did a wonderful job with all the small details. Her staff was incredibly attentive to my guest and make sure we didn't run out of anything. I would definitely recommend having a family or small office party here.

Did not clean my room even though I asked at check in. The room was basically greasy. The breakfast was included and there was coffee all day. Location was good. Walking distance to the Dali Museum and all the restaurants.
