Homewood Suites by Hilton Shreveport / Bossier City, LA - Extended stay hotel in Bossier City - 2015 Old Minden Rd, USA

Front desk staff has clearly been trained to be as unwelcoming as they can be. Not a friendly or welcoming check in experience. No acknowledgement of Diamond status or the little "gift bag" as is the standard at other Hilton hotels. Manager was combative when talking with him about a couple of concerns/issues. Rooms have been remodeled and look very nice but, a couple of us in 4th floor rooms had small sugar ants in the room. I had to go out and buy bug spray. Also, as with some Hilton hotels these days, they claim housekeeping will freshen room up every other day. I stayed one week and only after I went down to the front desk to ask why they were skipping my room everyday, then on the last day of my stay they came in and did a cleaning. Just an overall poor customer service approach from the staff at this Hilton location... I would not stay here again.

5 stars for the room, facility, and service We stayed in a suite for 2 nights. Our room appeared to have been recently updated and was very nice. I would like to know the airfreshner or scent that was in the room when we first arrived. This is the first time we've had a room with the bedroom to close off. This is very nice when you're sleeping, especially if you have pets. The entire suite was hard surfaced floor. This was very nice. Not sure if all the remodels are this way or just the first floor pet friendly rooms. The entire staff was friendly and helpful.

I have been staying at this hotel the past few weeks and have really enjoyed it. I am in town 2 - 3 weeks a month for business and find it to be an acceptable home away from home. They have been renovating this hotel and I must say that they're doing a fantastic job. They have quarantined the areas under renovation well and the workers seem to work decent hours to not bother the hotel guests. It's nice to have a full kitchen when you're staying for more than a few days at a time. The restaurant staff is very friendly and they offer a great menu. I look forward to staying here while I’m in town on business. I can’t say that about a lot of the places that my career has taken me.

We will definitely be staying here again! The room was clean and the hotel was conveniently located about 10 minutes from the Brookshire Arena which was great since we were in town for a concert. The ceiling fan over the bed was a very welcome amenity. ||The only thing that could be improved is the mattress, too firm for our taste.||The pool and courtyard looked beautiful but it was too cold to swim this time.

We stayed overnight during a road trip to see family in Texas. The hotel is being remodeled and our room was on the 4th floor which has apparently already been finished. There were fresh new plank floors in the entire room, no carpet. Looked like new paint, curtains and window shades. We always get a suite to accommodate myself and my husband and our adult disabled daughter. The bedroom had 2 comfortable queen beds in a room with a huge TV, and work desk in a bay-windowed sitting area. The nightstand lamp had USB and electrical outlets which simplified phone and tablet use at bedtime. The vanity and closet area was separate from the tub and toilet bathroom which allowed us to all work on getting dressed at the same time in the morning. We had an iron and ironing board. I did not find a hair dryer but had my own so no problem. There was new shiny tile in the bathroom floor and tub area and plenty of linens. The tub had a couple of scuffed places but no rust and was very clean. Our tub had the wall mounted shampoo, conditioner and body wash bottles which I don't use. They were mounted on the side wall of the tub instead of the back wall which made the tub area a little cramped but again, no big problem. The tub side was low enough that none of us had any trouble with stepping in and out. The sitting area had a TV and foldout sofa where my husband slept and said that he was able to sleep comfortably. Free WiFi was plenty quick for us to surf the internet. The kitchen area had a regular sized refrigerator and a stove, microwave and sink as well as Keurig-type coffee maker. There were enough dishes in the cupboard for our short stay. The lobby area was clean and inviting, and the breakfast buffet had the usual cereals, pastries and bacon and eggs for a good breakfast before continuing our trip. Cold juices and hot coffee were plentiful and fresh. An attendant was busy keeping the breakfast area tidy and stocked. We would definitely recommend this property and would stay here again if our travels bring us through this area.

Stayed one night with a family of 5. Very nice rooms, clean, and great value for the price that includes breakfast! Worked out in fitness room - well equipped, good variety of equipment and free weights. LOVE that they have Peloton bikes! Highly recommend.

These staff here are horrible. I asked them a couple times to clean our room and they NEVER came we stayed 5 days. We started using grocery bags as garbage bags to dump out our garbage. Had to go to front desk and keep asking for towels. The 4th floor has a leak in ceiling and they have 2 buckets and the huge laundry bin in center of hallway that looks very unsafe and hazardous for anyone with children. Donna is very rude and nasty. Asked her if they had any pepto for sale. She never gives me any eye contact starts drinking her cup and says no and never turns her head to give me any contact. Remind you I said hello good morning before asking her. She didn’t want to speak because and says “morn-in” and rolls her. She clearly hates her job and disgusting. There’s another one that’s a cleaning lady and she was smacking her gum and rolling her eyes. She has fingerwaves and hair really short. They obviously have issues. We had no idea they had a restaurant or anything. Our room wasn’t ready by 3. We had to wait until they cleaned a room and we drove 12 hours to get there. Disgusting miserable employees. Lost power in our room after Stove popped and that was NEVER fixed. We were in town for my sister serving 30years in Airforce. This is embarrassing that black staff act like this to their own people. I hope they see this review and get therapy because they were disgustingly rude. My 1st time in Louisiana and my last at this. I’m not even done. I’m contacting the board. I barely ever complain but this horrible stay I’m going to the top.

My room was nice and new except for the mold growing in the bath. Front desk girl did not greet me as a Diamond member and did not provide and water or snack. When I asked for "benefit" she was only willing to give water and refused the snack as the website and app specify. This is really cheap of Homewood That night a prom was being held at this Homewood and I asked if prom kids were getting rooms and she said they were not. But that wasn't true because I saw them checking in and going to rooms. Later that night, the hotel did not control the noise that the prom kids made in their rooms and the hallways.
