Homewood Suites by Hilton San Jose Santa Clara - Extended stay hotel in San Jose - 4315 N First St, USA

Staff was nice. Especially loved the lady running breakfast in the mornings. My kids spilled waffle mix and she was so kind about it. We all helped clean up even though she tried to insist we not help. Room was large and clean. Beds were comfy. Bathroom was very spacious and we loved the bath tub. The location was great. Close to my husband’s work and right in the middle of lots of great food and things to do with the kids. With everything around us the kids still spent most of the time in the outdoor pool. We all have quite the tans to prove it. Will definitely stay again when my hubs return for work.

This is the worst stay I've ever had. First we tried to check in at 5pm (check in usually starts at 3pm) and we were told our room still isn't ready. When we finally went up to our room, the dish washer was running, our bathroom floor was wet, and bedding was outside our room. So we assume they started cleaning our room once we arrived. Breakfast the next morning was the worst part of the experience. We went down for breakfast, the quality wasn't great, but I was still excited for breakfast. I got my food, then the fire alarm went off. We exited the building and after 20 minutes we got to go back inside and breakfast was over. They had cleared my table and refused to do anything about it. The lack of customer service is disappointing.

Stayed for 3 mights for leisure weekend. We were able to check in at 11am. Every staff member was very friendly. Everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was average. Our room was next to freeway, 4th floor, but quiet. Could occasionally hear loud vehicles, but it did not keep us awake. There is a nice outdoor pool area. There is an outdoor gas grill, but we did not use it. We would stay again if visiting the area again.

There are two Homewoods in the area that are less than 4 miles apart. This is the one you want to stay in. Very nice area, very quiet, the amenities are well done, the rooms are clean and spacious. Love the courtyard/relaxing area. I’ve stayed in both as well come to San Jose sometimes 2-4 times a year and this one is by far leaps and bounds ahead of the other one.

Staff was nice, but the pool looks bigger in the pictures than in person. limit of 10 people at a time is how small it is, but it was clean despite not having a single pool towel to use. the rooms are nice and have a mini kitches thats loaded with dishes to use, but not the best hotel i have stayed in on this trip. this is 3 star, but the 2.5 star was much nicer that we stayed in the day before. overall, just a regular suit

We came for a concert nearby, and were initially mostly satisfied with our room and our stay- until we were awoken by a fire alarm early the morning after our concert. Seemed like very few people shuffled outside, and the staff didn't seem to care or be concerned one bit. SEVENTEEN MINUTES LATER the fire truck arrived?! We would have been in serious trouble if there was an actual fire! There was absolutely no communication from staff or anyone, guests just started going back inside after the alarm was turned off. We checked to make sure our belongings were secure once back in our room, and had just gone back to sleep-- when it went off AGAIN. We went outside again, waited another 20 or so minutes again before it went off. Again, zero communication from staff or any concern. This led is to wonder if there were frequent issues with the alarms, or false activations?? We called the front desk for a later checkout, and they would only do an hour. We were not discounted in any way for our sleepless night. Would not recommend this place if you are someone in need of sleep. The only pleasant experience we did have was the cleaning staff was very sweet, went above and beyond to help us as we sluggishly tried to vacate our room. The front desk had deactivated our keys at the normal checkout time, so we kept getting locked out of the building while we tried to load our car. Raul and Namida (sp?) were so kind to us while we tried to manage this situation, perhaps because we were obviously ragged from our sleepless night at this point. Positive: Easy to get to right off the freeway. Love the small town of Alviso. Negative: I was a lil upset the detachable shower head was spraying water everywhere. I also cold not get water to turn off when I was done showering. Other than that. I truly enjoyed my stay and that breakfast spread was worth it . Ill definitely be staying again Negative: ""

Location is good, room is fine. Looks like a new hotel but hallway carpet looks dirty. As gold, I tried to apply late checkout on Saturday, but the front desk only extend to 1:00pm, which is nothing. I was told Hilton membership is useless, unfortunately, that appears to be true.
