Excellent hotel!! Super convenient location and close to public transport! The staff are super friendly and helpful. You need your hotel key to enter the main door which is great for security! Rooms are massive and ours had a full size kitchen! They have an excellent gym that has dumbbells up to 75lb! Wish they had more gluten free options for breakfast or even milk alternatives. That was the only let down! Even just have a some gluten free bread would be great!
This property failed to adequately explain their working amenities. My family got to this hotel thinking we would be able to swim and relax after a long day of traveling. We got to our room about an hour after checking in, we went down to the pool and spa area only to find that they were closed and not in working order. We asked for a refund to go to the garden Hilton next-door and the operations manager Jacqueline refused to refund our money so that we could go to a hotel that had the amenities we were looking for. There is no signs stating that their amenities are not in working order. I am a Hilton honors member and Hilton usually is very good at honoring there guests and treating them well. I am very disappointed in the customer service and the lack of communication this hotel provides. I’d go to another hotel with better customer service and amenities.
We booked this room for a 3 night stay to enjoy a comedy show and Jazz game. The staff working here are fantastic, and the location is great, within walking distance of plenty of downtown venues. The hotel didn't advertise that the pool and hot tub are outside and closed for the winter, so the room with poolside access we paid extra for was silly. The ice machine had the front part removed and wasn't working. Zero vending machines anywhere, but the workout room did have good facilities. No disinfectant spray for weights, mats, or cardio machines so that's gross. At night, there are constant clangs and bangs, you can here people walking all hours through the halls, and the heater announces itself loudly as it kicks on and off. We had to get a noise machine for the second and third nights. There is no parking. We were told parking was "available" across the street, on the street, if you can find an open spot. No spots, but advertising street parking as parking is silly. For $10 a night, you can park beneath the hotel. Seriously, $10? Just add it to the room rate as included. A little deceitful. The smart TV isn't functional and the channel selection is abysmal unless you want to watch local news, shopping channels, or reruns from 70 years ago. The TV is also facing a desk, away from both the bed and the couch, so to watch TV you literally have to move the entire dresser to see it from the bed or the couch. The beds aren't comfortable at all and the pillows feel like they are 20 years old. Other than that, the staff was fantastic and the location is great.
At first I wasn't sure if I should stay here, because some reviews said that the place is full of homeless people walking inside the building and making noise outside at night. I didn't experience any of that, in fact it was very quiet at night and safe, I didn't see any homeless walking around and I stayed 4 days. The rooms are big and very comfortable, it really feels like home, you get a small kitchen with all you need including a microwave, a huge fridge and a dish washer machine. They even had pans, cups and everything ready to use. The price was all worth it, even the parking lot was about $10 bucks per day, other places charge twice that. My only complaint is that the cleaning service was kind of confusing since you have to request it, if you request it after certain hours you will have to wait until the next day. But overall, my experience was great and better than expected. I would stay there again when I go back to SLC.
The hotel's interior is pretty nice and it has nice suites. The service was great, staff was friendly and helpful. Besides being close to a shelter and having many homeless people near the hotel, I felt pretty safe. Close by, there were a lot of police cars parked. So far, I haven't had any issues. Within walking distance, you can find numerous restaurants, pubs, tourist attractions, and a park. Great place.
I was a little hesitant staying here after I booked my room with reading others reviews, but I decided I'll give it a chance and see for myself. Check in was easy, I did have to actually go in and check in cz my digital key wasn't ready when I arrived shortly after check In time. No big deal tho Front desk employee has a button they push to let people in the 2nd lobby door. Employee was nice and helpful. Parking was easy with a door that is closed and opens when you scan your room key Room was nice, full size fridge, small countertop stove, dishwasher, small dining room table, sink, and glassware (plates, cups, utensils, dish soap/pods, toaster, and a few other things) I picked my room to face 400 w (pioneer park) and it was quiet. I didn't ever notice traffic noise or any issues. I never had any issues with the homeless people, I actually didn't see any hanging around like others had mentioned. Beds were comfortable as well as couch and room kept warm. Breakfast was your normal hotel breakfast. Biscuits & gravy, folded egg, breads, bagels, muffins, fruits, yogurt, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, juices. Pool and hot tub are outside, so they weren't in use being January. I also noticed a grilling area out there for summer time which would be fun I'd stay here again in the future, no issues for me!
I specifically requested a quiet room, but to my dismay, I was initially assigned a room right next to the noisy main street. After requesting a change, the situation did not improve. The sound from the neighboring room was so clear through the connecting door, it felt as though my neighbor was standing right in my room. Additionally, the constant hum of the air conditioning unit from outside was incessant. The rooms and windows appear to be extremely poorly insulated, which only amplified the noise. Unfortunately, it was impossible to get a restful night’s sleep in this hotel. I cannot recommend this hotel due to its poor soundproofing, especially for those seeking peace and relaxation.
Positive: The cleanliness, amenities, location, staff and feel like we¿re Home as its pet friendly. We¿d enjoy our stay. I loved hilton hotels and motels. Negative: None so Far everything was great.
