Homewood Suites by Hilton Ronkonkoma - Featured Reviews (247)
Recently stayed here while visiting the area for my brother’s wedding. Paid full price for a 2 Bedroom-2 Bathroom room that was pretty spacious however the smell of dogs wreaked havoc in the room’s carpet. My sister and I both have dogs that we live with and never have our allergies flared up like it did there for one night. Also, the rooms were very outdated and could stand for an update. Most of the staff are friendly but some of the staff can use some Hilton exceptional customer service skills during check-in process. For $321 a night plus $12 for parking I wish I had chose a different hotel. Overall, it’s close to major restaurants and convenient to shopping.
Our room had a filthy kitchen with crumbs under the cabinets and dried food on the refrigerator. The inside of the refrigerator was dirty with food, crumbs and stained. We asked for someone to clean it and we’re told by the person at the desk there was no housekeeping. We were tired and it was late so we decided to deal with it in the morning. We were in the area to take care of a sick relative so we expected to stay a few days. The pool was also dirty with what looked like stagnant water. In the morning we went down for breakfast at 9:10 am (breakfast is supposed to be served until 9:30 am)). The food was burned and depleted. I brought this to the attention of the manager who said that my family and I should leave (in so many words) because this hotel would not make us happy. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing as we are long time Hilton Honors members. I am appalled at this. In my opinion this is the worst customer service I have ever experienced.
Last night I stayed here. I travel often and stay at plenty of Hilton properties, I seriously need to join the Hilton Honors membership come to think of it. Well I chose this location bc it seemed to have decent reviews. The rooms were just as nice as expected, but I am taking the time out of my day to leave this compliment for the two front desk associates. I must say Samaria and Jackie are some of the best representation a company can have in the hospitality industry. I specialize in business development and finding professional, pleasant, eager to help employees who are very informative are hard to come by. I was looking for a nice place to relax that’s outside of my room, Samaria and Jackie were pleased to greet me once I came down and took time out to show me the courtyard where there is a fire pit and couches. They were so kind to turn it on for me and I was able to truly enjoy the evening spent chatting and networking. This truly made my stay, a special Thank You goes to Samaria and Jackie for making that experience happen. I will definitely be staying there again. I hope you guys remember me bc I sure will not forget your hospitality and professionalism, delighted to meet you both. And a Thank You to the management for taking the time to select highly qualified representatives for the Hilton brand. Wish you both a very great future with your career. - Ryan
I frequently come to this area for work and have been looking for a hotel to stay at that suits my liking. I think after 3 or 4 tries, I finally found the best hotel in the area. Staff was competent and friendly, and the room was clean and spacious. I will definitely be staying here again!
Homewood suites is one of the best vacation place to stay with your family. It's a home away from home. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout our stay. People at front desk are so friendly and nice to you they are always available to help. They have paid laundry for guests which is around 2 bucks. Coming to the rooms, they are spacious, cozy, and clean. Everything is perfect! They also have kitchenette where you can cook your food as per your liking. I would suggest please do try homewood suites out. So far had a great vacation here.
PS: parking is not free though, its around 12$/night.
Location wise smith heaven mall is approx 4 miles away, and grocery store are nearby as well as the restaurants. Pool with hot water never disappoint, they had a fitness center as well.
stayed here for my cousins sons wedding a few months ago. beautiful, clean and i just booked it again for April 26 for another wedding, this time i’ll be with my fiancé. breakfast spread is awesome. didn’t use the pool in December but will be this time in April
Room is nice. Indoor pool is dangerous as the flooring in the room the pool is in incredibly slippery. Breakfast is mediocre at best, no waffles, tasteless scrambled eggs, no selection of pastries- only one kind of muffin, apple cinnamon, offered, coffee mediocre
After a long day of traveling due to a flight delay we arrived only to find that the toilet in our room did not work - which I had to use a plunger to find out as apparently there is no maintenance on staff in the evening. So after much discussion we were given another room which was a downgrade from what we had reserved. So back to the desk and again after much discussion we were given an upgrade to a 2 bedroom suite on the 3rd floor. After our second day we return to the hotel after a day of walking the beaches on Fire Island to find the elevator not working, it was repaired overnight. For a fairly new hotel we were rather upset at state of disrepair the hotel was in. We are reviewing our future options as we travel to Long Island often.
After Hours worked with us and provided the most spectacular reception for our wedding this past weekend. Phil, the MC, has an unrivaled energy! All of our guests have been raving that it was the funnest wedding they've ever been to! You can't go wro
