Homewood Suites by Hilton Phoenix-Metro Center - Extended stay hotel in Phoenix - 2536 W Beryl Ave, USA

A great hotel and a great location. I had no problems with my room or with the check-in procedure; in fact, the gentleman at the front desk was incredibly helpful and accommodating to my needs. Because I expressed concern regarding the boxes in my car (since I’m moving across the country and couldn’t take everything into the hotel room), he let the security guard know to keep an eye on my car. I truly do appreciate the extra level of customer service I received. My room was very clean and the hotel seems to be maintained well; the breakfast was also pretty good. I will certainly consider staying at this hotel again if I’m ever in the area!

The staff was nice (except for the check-in person), the room was generally okay. The biggest problem I had and the reason I won't stay there again (until they renovate the bathrooms) is that all of the rooms have tubs with a curved base. You can't stand flat in the tub to shower, your feet slip down to the middle and it's definitely not stable or safe. I'm 55 and in reasonably good health, but almost fell at least 3 times per shower (getting in/out and changing positions). I asked an employee if there was another room that had a different tub, or perhaps a stand up shower like the majority of Hilton properties. He said no, that was the only type of bathroom they had. I have stayed in over a dozen different Hilton properties for work this last year and this property definitely doesn't fit the Hilton brand. The hallway carpets are worn/frayed and outdated. I also received zero recognition from the front desk person checking me in as a Hilton Honors member. Hilton has conditioned me to expect this and also to receive a "goody bag" and if they don't have that they are supposed to give you extra points for the stay. None of this happened. I had to ask for water and the employee acted like I was annoying them for asking. The location was close to where I needed to be for work, but I don't suggest walking or being out after dark anywhere around this area.

The front desk lady was rude and didn’t let me and my friends check in due to our age, but couldn’t give us any other resources to find a place to stay for our trip. We planned the trip with the required information and the website nor the company informed me that the age requirement to check-in was 21 years or older. I had to find a new place to stay last minute after a gruesomely long drive from out of state. I called Hilton and asked them what I could do about this situation and how to go about getting a refund and was informed that I had to wait 10 days for my money to be returned. This meant I had to spend an extra amount of money that I hadn’t intended on spending and won’t get my money back until after I return from the trip. Although I was very excited for the stay, the service was not as pleasant and desirable as I imagined.

Positive: The staff were very friendly, the place was cozy, family friendly. We will definitely be back. Negative: The AC in our room was blowing out warm air, but the staff moved us to another place with no problem. So it all worked out fine.

We ened up here because our house flooded. The staff are all so friendly, welcoming, helpful and kind. They all had kind comforting words in such a stressful time. The guy who checked us in at the front desk Thomas was very helpful and gave us a little tour. When we needed maintenance JC was prompt, knowledgeable and friendly. Customer service is a thing of the past but not at this hotel. Customer service was spot on!

This is where my employer always has us stay when we have to come to town. Many of us work remote. Always clean and friendly. The beds and pillows are amazing. Every room has a kitchenette with large fridge, stove burner, convection/microwave l, dishwasher. They even stock dishes and pans. So quiet despite being right off the interstate. And in the spring everything is in bloom so it has gorgeous flowery trees.

This hotel was nice, the suite was spacious and I enjoyed having features such as a refrigerator, and small stove. The bed was not great unfortunately, and the pillows quickly deflated. Unfortunately the highway noise was nonstop. There is a very small convenience shop that has snacks, toiletries, drinks and alcohol. The staff was absolutely superb and everything was very clean. The free breakfast was nice.

My wife and I were very impressed with this hotel. The staff was amazing, starting with Thomas at the front desk and continuing with the staff at the breakfast area, etc., up to and including checkout after a two-night stay. We shared a two-bedroom suite with my wife's sister, the perfect solution to our needs. The price was fair, the rooms were comfortable, and the breakfast was just what we needed (the coffee was excellent). We are not often in the Phoenix area, but Homewood Suites by Hilton will be at the top of our list when we book for our next visit.
