Over the last twenty-five years, my wife and I have stayed at this property numerous times. We have watched its slow and inevitable decline as it has aged without any effort by the owner to revitalize the property through refurbishment. Now, we stay at the property only because of its convenient location and pure inertia and laziness on our part. When we arrived the desk clerk did not acknowledge my presence at the desk, she was engrossed in her smartphone at the time and evidently found it more important than doing her job. She ignored me standing there at the counter until I finally spoke up and interrupted her concentration. Currently, the property has worn carpet in the corridors, peeling wallpaper, and generally aged furnishings--our TV stand had two missing knobs and our ice bucket was cracked and leaked. The refrigerator door appears to have been the victim of abuse--the refrigerator does work but appears less than presentable. The TVs appear to have been updated to newer models since our last stay; however, when we arrived neither TV would change channels and were fixed to a single channel. The TV remote would only control the volume and on/off function. We were unable to change channels. Upon investigation and much frustration--the desk clerk was of absolutely no assistance--we discovered that the housekeeper had dropped the TV remote sensors to both TVs behind their respective stands. When we finally discovered this, we moved the sensors to the top of the stands and resolved the problem. Subsequently, I read the Trip Advisor reviews and discovered that others have encountered similar problems in the past---and the desk clerk did not recognize the problem or its simple solution. Her suggested solution was to have someone come to our room the following day. So, if you must, stay at this property for its convenient location, I can think of no other compelling reason to do so.

Please reconsider staying at this hotel. We are a military family moving to the area and stayed at this hotel for few nights in July. I went down to the front desk one evening to ask for change for a $10 and accidently left our car keys at the front desk. The next morning after looking for the keys in our room, the parking lot, and anywhere else we could think of I realized that I most likely left them at the front desk the night before. The employee remembered I left them there but they couldn't find them after looking around the front desk and back office area. She said she had left our keys with the night shift employee and tried calling him to find out where they were. He said he "gave" them to somebody but "couldn't remember" because he was slammed in the middle of the night. We then went back out to look around the car to see what was missing from the car. Since we were in the middle of a move the car was a bit of a mess and it wasn't clear right away that we had been robbed. After searching the car we discovered that my husbands gun and gun safe were stolen. We ended up filing a police report. A few days later my husband talked with the manager who had all the sudden found our keys in her office. She later told us that the night shift employee had found our keys in the parking lot, and instead of trying to contact us to return them, he had put them in her office. Instead of trying to call us, they sat there all weekend before we were contacted. We were only reimbursed for the one night that we didn't even stay in the hotel because we didn't feel comfortable staying there anymore. Military please stay away from this hotel. Shady and not run well. UPDATE: Thinking I need to add to my previous review now that I know the whole story. Is it better...NOPE. We have discovered from the police that our keys were in fact stolen, by a front desk employee, and she still works at the hotel! Alisha stole our keys and gave them to a friend that she was allowing to stay at the hotel for free and not registered. Her friend is currently in jail for robbing a lot of people and a landscaping business of their equipment. I'm not sure who is involved in this crime ring but this hotel is run by criminals.

Hilton Honors used to mean something....now I'm not so sure. We stayed at the Homewood Suites Pensacola Airport hotel from December 8th through the 11th 2023, and we were not impressed. As a Hilton Honors customer I have become used to the standard of excellence the membership comes with, but apparently that has changed now. As we walked up to the front "clerk" at the counter the only words she said to us was "checking in?" No welcome to Pensacola, no thanks for being a HH member, no would you like your HH water bottles, no what time the breakfast will be served at, or where the elevators where located.... nothing! She simply set the key on the counter. I figured she was either a disgruntled employee or this was her last day on the job. The next evening we were returning back to the hotel and I stopped by the front deck to pick up soap and again a very non pleasant interaction with a different employee. At this point I realize that this is more of a hotel management issue as this seems to be the culture in this hotel. The hotel itself was a D+ facility as it looked like it hasn't been renovated since its inception in 1990's. The hallways and rooms need to be cleaned, the shower head didn't work correcly, there were rust stains in our tub, and generally is in need of an update and a deep cleaning as it shows its age. This is not a hotel I would ever go back to and frankly I am now considering cancelling my Hilton Honors card and joining another hotel chain rewards program as it doesn't seem like a vauled program anymore. I would be surprised if anyone contacted me for feedback as these days most companies ask for reviews, but never actually read them or act on the feedback. But if Hilton does reach out i will update my posting.

The room was not clean Front desk staff very unprofessional and seems to be a scam going on at the hotel with charging a fee for smoking. They are accusing people who smell like smoke or smoking in the rooms. If an individual goes outside to smoke of course coming back in you will smell like smoke. Once confronted the fee was removed but that 290 was pending on my card for 3 days before removal. The TV remotes didn’t work so couldn’t use TV for three days. New remotes provided did not work. The tub was not clean. Some of the towels were dirty.

Was disappointed at this hotel. We stayed for the weekend. We checked in online, chose our room and showed up around 3 p.m. When we entered the room, the beds were unmade, the bathroom was dirty and had used towels all over. We were given a different room but in a different floor. Although it was an upgrade, I still felt uneasy. Now I question if the room I stayed in was really clean, if the sheets and pillow cases were changed and bathroom sanitized. The room is quite run down. The tub and bathroom have rusts and cracks in various areas. The breakfast was basic, not much to choose from. The location is close to the mall, grocery and restaurants. Shuttle to the airport is a plus.

Very upset with the service at this hotel, I just checked in for a five day stay and asked if there was a place I could keep my paddle board while I was at the hotel. I have stayed at 7 or 8 Hilton brand hotels and have always been told I could put my paddle board in a back room or in an office, never really had problem with the front desk. So I let the front desk know I have a paddle board and I don’t want it to get stolen when we’re sleeping, I’m completely willing to carry it to a secure location, not trying to haste the staff or cause an inconvenience, just want to protect my property and enjoy using it at the beach. So when I ask front desk clerk if there is somewhere I can keep my paddle board she responds, “in your room”. Not “we don’t have any where to store your paddle board”, or ”let me see if I can find a place for you to store your paddle board”, just “in your room”. At other Hilton hotels I have put my paddle board in storage rooms, laundry rooms, or even conference rooms when they were not in use. This is a beach town, and I would have expected the staff to be more understanding of such issues, but no, not at this hotel. I will definitely not be staying at this location in the future, and I would suggest others look elsewhere as well. Worst Hilton hotel I’ve stayed at, and I’ve been to 40 or 50 across the country. Two thumbs down.

I chose this rating because I rewarded the size and comfort of the room. but the services sadly left a lot to be desired. in a 17 night stay, priced at about $4500, according to the policy they should have cleaned the room 4 times, and possibly a few more times if I had asked: I had to ask for it every time and no one cleaned my room until I arrived at threats: the staff always responded politely, but in the end they always ignored my requests. the only ones who have made themselves available are a cleaning lady who cleaned the room even if she was not on the list and a blonde lady who worked in reception. honestly considering that the group I work with comes almost every year to spend almost 3 weeks in this hotel with considerable costs, the treatment reserved for us was not at all welcome. another sore point are the sums that are systematically blocked on the credit card, these consistently exceed what is the actual expense to be incurred, even double in some cases. for the above, we will definitely not be returning next year, let alone recommend it to anyone who asks us for advice.

Rooms are dated, damaged, moldy smell. Breakfast quality is poor and night staff not welcoming and friendly. **Update I did the survey and received a call from Hilton Staff about my comments. I appreciate the time they took with me and it says a lot that they cared enough to followup. **
