Homewood Suites by Hilton Newburgh-Stewart Airport - Extended stay hotel in New Windsor - 180 Breunig Rd, USA

We stayed here while passing through on a road trip. We always prefer Homewood Suites and this location was excellent. The rooms were spacious and clean. The hotel was quiet but very kid friendly. My daughter and I swam in the pool. The hot breakfast was fantastic with many options including gluten-free options. Very conveniently located off 84.

Rooms are as clean, spacious, and well equipped as you’d expect from this brand, but they desperately need to work on the ventilation and air circulation. I’ve seen it much better at Homewood hotels through the use of ceiling fans and air circulation in the corridors. ||Breakfast was among the best on our cross-country road trip, and the breakfast area is open, bright, and airy, perfect for getting work done when the room gets a little claustrophobic.

There was necessary construction at our home, so through insurance, we secured a room at the hotel. The room was decent, and most of the front desk staff were friendly, especially Merg (an absolute gem and always willing to help). Our housekeeping staff was wonderful and treated us and our personal items with respect. Our two girls had stuffed animals they slept with, and the housekeeping staff would also make sure they were nicely arranged on their bed, which we really appreciated. Our issue started when, after staying for about two months, work at the house kept being delayed by the contractor, and our insurance had run out. At this point, we knew we had to work something out before we became homeless. We knew we could not afford the standard rate of the room we were staying in. So, my wife asked the front desk about keeping the special rate provided to insurance and was told to speak with someone named Nicole (she is in charge of reservations at the hotel). Nicole was condescending when we tried to speak to her about our rate, talking to us in the main dining area with other guests about an issue we thought should have been discussed in private. There's no worst embarrassing moment than a parent knowing their family could be homeless and Nicole compounded this embarrassment by not showing any compassion. We were able to keep the rate but each time we tried to extend our reservation we felt like begging to spend our own money because the hotel staff kept reminding us of how May would their busy season. After five thousand dollars later, my wife and I decided to check out and use our accrued points at an affiliate hotel since we still needed a place to stay. Nicole is rude with no compassion with a profession that requires one. I will never spend my hard earn money on this hotel and make sure other people know how guest who need special accommodation are treated. Update: Thanks for your response. We do appreciate the discounted rate being extended which was already mentioned. Our issue was your demeanor when we spoke to you regarding extending the rate which was not addressed in your response. You were condescending and treated us with no respect. Regardless of rate, a paying customer should not be made to feel like they are begging. Learn to treat future clients with respect and compassion regardless of race.

Hidden Gem. My family and I loved it. The pool, a little smaller than usual, but the cleanliness made up for it. The hot tub, finally…. Very well maintained and temperature just right. Extremely friendly staff. Felt very comfortable here. Perfect for us, we’re visiting the various parks and trails in the area.

Writing this review because of something that I noticed while being at the hotel. Yes, the rooms and hotel is very clean however, the reason this is like this is because of the maltreatment against the housekeepers in this hotel. From my observation, the housekeepers work non-stop for 8 hours with no rest. Hearing their stories was heart breaking. They are paid minimum wage and are expected to clean 12+ rooms in less than 8 hours. These are human beings, not robots. Please take care of your employees more as guest do not want to stay in a hotel that does not take care of their employees.

We were waiting for our home, the room was great, clean and quiet. Staff is nice and welcoming. Pet, friendly and clean. Breakfast got old fast, but they do have good options.

MERG is super professional & just does his job with ease. Every visit I make, he always follows up using the Hilton Honors chat to ensure my experience is perfect upon arrival. Property is clean & spacious (as expected from this Hilton brand). Close to the airport so easy to commute to & from. My only critique is the breakfast should start at 0600hrs instead of 0630 however I am still content with the service & property!

Nicole Pfahl was an absolute dream to work with throughout coordinating our hotel room block for our wedding and suite for bridal party to get ready with hair/makeup vendors. She was always timely in her responses and assisted in 18 months of planning. When it came to wedding weekend, the staff was excellent in greeting our guests with the welcome bags we carefully stocked. The hotel was extremely clean and guests were raving about the full size fridge in rooms. The continental breakfast was an amazing addition to the day after wedding due to the large amount of traveling family. The hotel shuttle was extremely convenient and we were able to utilize it to transport guests to and from our rehearsal dinner at no additional cost or stress of guests drinking and driving. In the conference room as a bridal suite, there was so much room for my bridesmaids, moms, and grandmas as we had FIFTEEN people getting ready. Homewood suites placed salon chairs and mirrors in the suite without me even requesting.
