Great breakfast, location. Amazing kitchen in room.Id also like to add that with all of the cut backs businesses need to make the breakfast was so good and plentiful ! Our room was clean and very quiet. The gym had fresh cool towels. Weights and a pelaton bike along with all other workout equipment. We will definitely stay again!!
The hotel is in a good location. The rooms were dirty, with ceiling fans covered in dust, and ripped sheets. Tired and not top tier. The breakfst was not great but edible. The coffee was surprisingly good. We stayed for four nights and our room was cleaned once even after we stopped at the front desk. Garbage overflowing, no towels replaced or bed made. Seemed understaffed on all levels.
Average hotel. Location to Bourbon street wasn’t bad, a few block walk. Location itself is a little sketchy, we were a little worried about our safety walking in any direction, but as long as it was daylight it was ok during our stay. Staff was not friendly. Concierge tried selling tours that he obviously received commission, as well as restaurant recommendations. We avoided him for the most part. |Room itself was fairly nice, nothing special buy roomy. But the shower setup was beyond awful! The shower could not be turned on without getting soaked with cold water. The shower door closet to the control was a fixed door thus you had to get into the shower to turn it on and the shower head itself was fixed so the water came shooting out and was freezing cold every single time. Never saw a setup like this before. First morning found out that body wash and conditioner were empty! Would have thought they would have been filled prior to the room being ready. |Hallways, especially the carpets are worn and need replaced. But lobby and rooms seem updated. |Breakfast was free but not edible. Even my husband who isn’t picky and eats anything had difficult finding anything he would eat. Foods are all processed fake eggs. Lots of staff around during breakfast but empty selections never refilled. |We would not stay here again.
The absolute worst check-in experience. We called to advise that we would be arriving after 1 AM due to unforeseen traffic delays. We were told this wouldn't be an issue and the valet would still be available. When we pulled up at 1:15 AM, there was no one at the valet stand. The front desk clerk saw us pull up but then disappeared. We were out in 24° weather pressing the intercom and knocking on the door for close to 10 minutes before another guest opened the door & let us in. Once in the lobby, it was another 20 minutes before the clerk and valet came out from a storage room with no apologies for the delay. Once we finally made it to our room, it was so cold! Getting the heater to come on was difficult and not a user-friendly process. The hot water in the bathroom sink never came on, regardless of how long we let it run, and the showerhead was filthy. I wound up having to clean it before we could shower. When I tried to ask for the manager the next day, I was told I would receive a call but nothing came of it. It's a shame the service was so horrendous, the hotel is actually in a really good location and we would've loved to be able to use it again the future.
The hotel is well located just outside the French Quarter and two blocks from Canal Street. The room was large and clean, breakfast offered different options each morning of a quality that is similar to most hotels that include breakfast. There is a nice, well equipped laundry room and a small outdoor pool. Our one real problem was getting our room looked after. We were told the cleaner would do our room every three days. This did not happen. When we asked for service a lady showed up and dropped a few towels and two sheets (we had 2 beds) on the table and left, not even taking the garbage. We tried asking both the cleaners and the front desk. We tried complaining. We asked for the manager, were told the desk clerk was the "manager on duty" and she would talk to housekeeping and get back to us, which she never did. Finally, on the 7th day of our stay, we resorted to bribery, tracked down a cleaner and offered her $10 to clean the room, which she did almost immediately. This not a high end hotel, but it's pretty good for the price, but the housekeeping situation is dire. I understand the hotel contracts out the cleaning. They need to find a different contractor.
First impressions were good. Room was clean with a full size refrigerator. The Courtyard view rooms on the third floor were quiet. The bed was firm, not great but not droopy either. |After a couple of nights of my four night stay, I decided to ask for a room cleaning. I was told that my request was too late for that day, but I would have a cleaning on the next day, which would be my final day and overnight. It never happened. The maids were all over my corridor when I returned from the day at 3:30. I decided to go out for an additional 90 minutes or so, to give them more time but my room was skipped. Why? Because I believe someone made a call, and decided, well he IS checking out tomorrow after all. I had organized the room for the maid. I made sure whoever was assigned could get in and out quickly with none of my stuff in the way. When I finally got back at five PM, nada. After a call with a nice employee, housekeeping agreed to send up extra towels, but that was that.|TIP: Ask for housekeeping services EVERY day. Or you will end up like me, with someone deciding you aren’t worth a clean room. They may make that choice anyway.
Positive: The best thing is the location. It¿s not as busy and congested but very well within walking distance to all the fun! Negative: My room wasn¿t the cleanest, still juice and stains on some of the surfaces from the previous stay. An insufficiently cleaned room can and tends to affect your overall comfort in the room. It would be nice to have that clean confidence in my next stay
This place is ok, great location, and the room was quiet and the bed comfortable. But for the price, I expected a little more. We got a suite with a kitchen so we could cook our own meals, but it was the most poorly stocked kitchen ever. There were no kitchen towels, no dish soap, one frying pan so warped that only the center got hot, and not a single sharp knife, butter knives only. Only one hand towel for two people for two days, nothing to stand on but cold tile when you step out of the shower. Shampoo, but no conditioner. Service was good, but valet parking was a little steep at $65 per day for my truck, it was considered oversized.
