Homewood Suites by Hilton Manchester/Airport - Extended stay hotel in Manchester - 1000 Perimeter Rd, USA

While the hotel looks nice and up-kept the amenities lacked big time. The pool as others mentioned is still green and dirty ( last comment was a month ago). The breakfast was a big disappointment. Waffle machine is turned off during week. The same breakfast all week. Scrambled eggs and bland potatoes. All they changed was meat. Definitely not what was expected for Hilton. The hotel was clean and acceptable except the stairways looked like dogs used it as a potty area.

One night stay in a standard suite. The space was well appointed and met our needs after a long day with family and friends. Close to the airport but never heard a sound. Did not use the pool. Breakfast was complimentary with a good selection of options. Very pleasant front desk experience. My only complaint was that the A/C was not evenly distributed between the rooms. The living room was much colder than the bedroom. Heard the same thing from our daughter. The bed was a bit creaky in room 420. Great spot for families.

I’m going two stars because of the convenience in location to the airport and the shuttle service that they provide.| |To start- the shuttle was great; I actually prefer that you have to call and request the ride when you land, rather than “the shuttle is there every half hour.” It meant that I only waited for about five minutes and got to the hotel fairly quickly.| |Check in was easy, the person working the front desk was pleasant enough- but (I know this sounds nit picky) did not thank me for being a diamond member, or give me the complimentary water and snacks that Diamond members are supposed to get at check-in. It seems superficial to mention, but it’s a matter of attention to detail and customer service.||My room was standard- exactly what I needed for just spending one night in Manchester. However, it wasn’t very clean. There were dirt chunks (I hope) on the carpet, the tub had a film in it, and when I showered it didn’t drain properly.| |The biggest issue for me, though, was that although I had booked a non-smoking room, it smelled like someone before me had either been smoking in the bed or someone right outside the room was smoking through the night. The smell was so strong that it kept me up for a good portion of the night.

Checked into this hotel on Saturday and planned to stay until Tuesday. Checked out on Sunday as the experience was a nightmare. Both the rooms we booked, the elevators and the breakfast area reeked of a really bad "stale cheese" like odor. The bathroom door and airconditioning in our room didn't work either. Rooms were dark and the sofa bed had candy wrappers in it. The free breakfast was just plain and tasteless. The orange juice was very watered down, and when we came down at 7:10am, one of the coffee flasks was already empty. The location of this hotel is good but unfortunately, this is the dirtiest and most badly managed hotel I've ever been to. I still can't get over that really bad odor!

When we arrived the kids were very excited to go in the pool however the pool was extremely green and did not look like anyone should be swimming in it. Also, it’s about 90-92 degrees outside and inside our room our air wouldn’t go below 73 even though we set it to cool and 50 to get it down. The pullout couch in the king suite rooms is also very short, fine for kids I guess but definitely not an adult. Likely will stay elsewhere next time.

Fantastic room. It was clean and well appointed. However, after showering and with a wet head, I discovered the blow dryer was missing. I contacted the front desk and enquired about the missing dryer and asked for one to be delivered. I was told that housekeeping would bring one. I waited an hour, checked out and left with semi dry frizzy hair.

UPDATE: very interesting that I’ve sent several emails to the Front Desk Manager and the General Manager of this location and have received ZERO reply since sending photos! But now that this review is out there for all to see with proof of abhorrent accommodations, you reply that you want to make amends! The two employees that I mentioned above know exactly who I am and need to contact me as I’ve requested over and over again! Run as far away from this hotel and as fast as you can! Our room was FILTHY and cost $350! We were here for less than 24 hours and had a jam packed day planned and had no time to search for a different hotel! Management could have cared less! I’ve sent numerous emails asking to speak with a high level executive to show the disgust we experienced and no one has contacted me…just the front desk manager who told me I should have called her right away so they could rectify the situation…how about providing your guests with a clean room and ensuring it’s cleaned prior to check in and before informing us it was ready to occupy. Wouldn’t let my kids shower because the tub was so dirty and moldy. Blood, coffee, mold, dirt, thick dust…the thought of it makes me want to toss my cookies. Throwing a few reward points at us did not come close to making up for this completely unacceptable situation!

We actually love this hotel. Have stayed here a few times over the years. Im a Hilton Honors member. Just a few issues this time. The pool water is green. Kids didn’t even want to get in the water. I had to prove it wasn’t the water but the pool itself. Strange though. The pool towels are small. The kitchen in our room was sparse with tools and wares. No wine glasses ? I even asked front desk about wine glasses and they basically said sorry not sorry. The kitchen table in our room was bar top height. The chairs were normal height (see photo). Very irritating. I also expressed this to the front desk and was told they would inform housekeeping. How does that help me? The hot breakfast is decent and the lady who prepares and serves the breakfast is a very nice lady. She is so very helpful and accommodating. Please give her trays so people can bring food up to their rooms.
