Homewood Suites by Hilton Long Island-Melville - Extended stay hotel in Plainview - 1585 Round Swamp Rd, USA

We stayed at this hotel to be close to Plainview Hospital where a loved one was terminally ill. We cannot say enough about the kindness of the the desk staff. Rose, Mark and Tommy, in particular, were so kind and helpful. We will be forever grateful. Since we spent morning to night at the hospital, we cannot comment on some aspects, but the gym and pool we passed by looked wonderful. The room was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing and the eating area was large and comfortable. If we ever need a hotel in this area again, we would select this one in a heartbeat!!!

This is myself and Family 3rd experience at this location. Mark, front desk clerk and Jessica provided outstanding services. Especially Mark, he went above and beyond for the best services ever possible. I would highly recommend anyone as a matter of fact I do have a Cousin with her family staying here for this weekend as well. He is extremely kind, courteous and very professional. I am so happy with his service. Wish there were people in this world like him!!!!!

This hotel is consistently great - we just are wrapping up a stay here and stayed about a year and a half ago, and both times, service and amenities were really great. It’s also a great central Long Island location. Shout-out to Samdra for a terrific breakfast that our kids loved (with make-your-own waffles)! The rooms were spacious and clean, the gym and pool had convenient hours and were kept up well, and all of the staff were hospitable and service-oriented - we will be back!

We had a 3 week stay at the hotel and it was very comfortable with great housekeeping. We purchased our own coffee maker and toaster because we preferred to have our breakfast in the room. The shower wasn’t hot for a few mornings but was good for the most part. If you need to make a left turn exiting the hotel be aware there’s no traffic light.

I stayed here for three nights with my Mom and kids for her birthday week. The rooms were decent, we stayed in a suite. They do have a dishwasher in there, but I needed a scrub pad to clean the pans I used for cooking, which they don't have. The only complaint I have would be the drain in the bathtub, it wouldn't drain when I was giving my daughter a bath, so I had to give her a shower. Mark and Jessica were very helpful when I needed extra towels and washcloths for my kids, as we spent most of our days at the beach. I met Mark last year at the Hilton down the way, and he is a valuable employee. My last interaction last year with Mark was witnessing a very rude customer being disrespectful with him as he was trying his best to accomodate her requests. He did it with patience and grace, he is definitely an asset to any company. All of the staff we interacted with were friendly.

This place was great: Indoor swimming pool; included breakfast buffet; and a nice large, comfortable "living room" of sorts to visit with family. Our room was comfortable and clean. My only complaint, which is not super valid, is that the water pressure was actually too strong, and water would back up in the tub while I showered. But this was a small inconvenience.

During WW2 there was Tokyo Rose this place Front Desk Rose. If you need anything she has a litany of excuses why she cannot help you. All begin with the words "I can't" or No, not at this time or my computers are down or can you call back in 15 minutes whereas she is no longer there. This takes effort and talent to try this hard not to help you. All with the scowl, on her face, like she was doing you a favor by maybe checking you in. I booked numerous rooms in advance. None were available early, None were available when promised and at that point my guest made plans to just drive home. My interactions with Jessica were great and helpful but she does not work 7 days a week or 24 hours a day. Also, a John, I believe, was helpful on the telephone. ||If you have allergies from cigar and or cigarette smoke the lobby can be an issue. People smoke just outside the front door and the smoke trails into the lobby all day.||Finally, the rooms are marginally clean on weekends. I can only guess because of shortness of staff. Overall, I would never book here because it is a total crapshoot what you will get which is not what you want when you travel.
