Homewood Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Northwest - Extended stay hotel in Indianapolis - 4140 W 94th St, USA

Room was prepaid. Arrived 8/10/24 to find out the room had been given away. We were let into a room that had a shower that did not function and did were not given a key (found out the next morning we were never actually booked into a room). Kids had to sleep on the floor. The folks onsite were nice and apologetic, but all management offered were extra points. Very poor experience especially for a prepaid room. We will not be using Hilton properties in the future.

The gym. The laundry room. The swimming pool. The heated hallways in summer. I wanted to focus on these four points. Then, I want to know what the standard is to be associated with the Hilton brand. The gym smells of mold. It's so small it's arms length wide, and I wouldn't recommend working out if there is more than one person in the room because there is not enough space for personal distancing. The laundry room has two washing machines and two dryers on the fourth floor available to all 48 rooms. Let that sink in that the entire hotel is dependent on just 4 units to wash clothes. The swimming pool does not look inviting. It is a wading pool. Walking the hallways are extremely hot as the weather outside is currently 112 degrees and it's really making the hallway unbearable. Took a shower and the entire sliding shower door fell in on me. On the bright side the hot water works. Plastic utensils needed at breakfast and label the foods so people don't have to touch everything.

The pool was pretty bad extremely salty strong chemicals or chlorine my son and cousins eyes got super red , my eyes were burning we had to get out and the hot tub wasn’t hot at all. It was dirty with bandaids all over the floor. The rooms are torn up the walls by the table were dented in , stains on the lamp, dirty floor in kitchen. The lobby and sitting area is nice. One of our beds had stains in it not sure from what. Breakfast was decent though , parking is good. Rooms are spacious but it all could have been just much better and guest services weren’t very welcoming or friendly.

1. The pool and hot tub closed by the city due to contamination. 2. The pool was closed the entire week we stayed. 3. The room smelled so bad we had to spray a whole can of Lysol and buy 3x Glade plug ins so we could stand the smell. Not sure if it was mold, old smoking room or wet dog. 4. The furniture was torn up. 5. The microwave door was broken. 6. The bathroom ceiling and wall had mold on it. 7. Only One key because the Key Card maker was broken. 8. Key didnt open the back outside door. The front desk said They would look into it. Nothing. 9. Lobby was clean, front desk was nice.

Stayed there for a week. Ok breakfast. Room was clean. Had poor interaction with staff. Discussed room cleaning service one individual in the morning. Was very dismissive when I requested service. Not what u want to hear from the front desk reception.

Okay at best. Our room wasn't the cleanest, so I didn't want to sit on the couch. The only functional ice machine was in the lobby.

I had the pleasure of staying at this property for one night, and I must say it was an exceptional experience. José, in particular, made my stay incredibly pleasant. I highly recommend this hotel and commend José for his outstanding service.

Positive: The room was clean. Negative: When we checked in, the staff was not friendly or helpful. No hellos or how can we help you. Just gave them my name and the first word was " I need a card to charge a 25.00 fee". then proceeded to charge 75.00 for the dog (which we did not know about).
