Homewood Suites by Hilton Eatontown - Extended stay hotel in Eatontown - 4 Industrial Way E, USA

Although I agree with the many people who felt the staff was helpful and pleasant, I think Homewood Suites has gone downhill a lot since Covid, and wonder whether they’re using Covid as an excuse to give poor service. I realize we stayed during a holiday, and that the hotel might be short on cleaning service people, but we were told when we arrived, on a Sunday, Christmas Eve, that room cleaning days were Monday and Thursday, but since Monday was Christmas, the room wouldn’t be cleaned—at all.||Breakfast leaves a lot to be desired—obviously most of it is brought in frozen, microwaved in the kitchen, and put in the steam trays. They used to have decent oatmeal, but this time it was just a sticky glob. But the most appalling feature of the breakfast service is that everything is paper and plastic. Single-use plastic spoons, knives and forks, each one wrapped in a single-use plastic bag. These things are NOT recyclable. Styrofoam plates, paper cups. Both before and after Hilton took over this place, they used to have real plates, coffee cups and cutlery. Hasn’t Hilton heard that our country is drowning in plastic, that all of us have plastic in our bloodstream, that we are killing birds and sea life with all this?||All that said, I do like having my own kitchen, and it is a convenient place for us to stay when we visit my daughter, although the gym isn’t great. If I stay there again, I will take my own plate and cup down to the breakfast room. However, I’m hoping the Residence Inn in Neptune will finish their pool and gym repairs before we go down to New Jersey again.

I am a consultant and travel approximately 10 months a year for long term assignments in various states around the United States. Without a doubt, this hotel has been the best experience. I have been here since May. Hotel is modern and in great condition. Suites are well furnished and extremely clean. Staff has been friendly, welcoming and just wonderful. It has been a pleasure to be safe and comfortable all these months! Kudos to management and all the staff!!!

I see many negative reviews but I thought this hotel was great! The room we had was like an apartment with a kitchen that was well stocked! The room was so clean! It also has free breakfast. I was very impressed!!

We spent two nights here as we were in the area for personal business. The location is a bit odd as noted by previous reviews but your confusion clears up after finding the hotel the 1st time.||The facility was clean, well maintained and the front desk staff friendly and accommodating. The king suite we had was spacious, clean, comfortable and the kitchenette was a bonus for us. We had busy schedules and the comfortable beds, great water pressure and fluffy towels were welcome after a long day.||We enjoyed our stay here and would easily recommend this Homewood to any friends who visit Eatontown or the surrounding areas.

We rented two rooms for a wedding in the area. Not impressed. Can’t get towels. Tell you they will bring them to the room. Hour and a half later no towels. This go back down and get them yourself. Ask for 2 extra pillows. Oops nope we don’t have any housekeeping is closed. The girl at the desk actually told us they were closed for 2 Days. Next day housekeeping is in the hallway. Oops the front desk doesn’t know the housekeeping schedule. Plugs in one bathroom did not work. Tv controller doesn’t work. I’m going back to Marriott.

If I can give 0 starts I would. This was the most horrible experiencing any bride can have for their wedding night. I reserved a block for myself and my wedding guest. Checked in, via the app, in which I was assigned a room. After my wedding ended, I went to the hotel, to find that my room, that was reserved and paid for months prior, was given to someone else. The receptionist was very poorly trained and extremely rude. Did not try to make any accommodation for myself the bride. When I asked him to call a supervisor, he said he didn't have to. I called corporate and corporate themselves tried getting into contact with them and he refused to pick up the phone, again saying he didn't have to. I have a case # for reference in which I have not gotten any feedback on. If you are a bride or groom and would like to use their wedding block service. Please run! do not use them, honestly you are probably better of using the Sheraton next door. My guest who did have rooms confirmed that the rooms were small, AC were dirty and full of dust, bathrooms were poorly made and old, definitely not worth the money, time, or frustration. I was given points the day of due to this inconvenience, in which was later taken back. Everyone that works there was very unprofessional.

One of us in our family has severe allergies to dogs and cats, and it seems every hotel is pet friendly these days. Even when they don’t allow pets, they allow “service animals” and those have increased greatly in numbers of late, so we have increasing difficulties finding places where an allergic person can breathe and get a good night’s sleep. This Homewood Suites in Eatontown was that place for us on this trip. Despite being pet friendly, our unit was spotlessly clean and free of any pet odor whatsoever. Kudos to the housekeeping staff, and most importantly, to the person who actually paid attention to the request on the reservation where we had expressed our needs, and followed through. It made a world of difference to us.

I stayed about almost 5 weeks at this hotel, only good thing I could say is how close it was to some food/ shopping places and the salad bar on Wednesday. Housekeeping would skip cleaning day during the week so I would be left with no new clean towels. They would only give me 2 shower towels. Some of the towels had hair on them and when I mentioned it to the front desk all they told me was “toss them on the ground” but no urgency from them to give new ones and/or apologize. Rooms have definitely seen better days. The yellow walls give it a musty and unsanitary looking vibe. Probably the worst Homewood Suite I’ve stayed at.
