Homewood Suites by Hilton Dallas-Irving-Las Colinas - Extended stay hotel in Irving - 4300 Wingren Dr, USA

This hotel is in need of a serious makeover. Most of the room was refurbished brand new and looked very nice and up to modern Homewood Suites levels. Kitchen was nice, furniture was new, bed was new. But the bathroom is pretty much a disaster. I don't know what kind of plumbing problems they have, but the bathtub drained very very slowly and the toilet would barely flush. And the bathroom tile looked like it had been repeatedly chiseled out and put back into place. The elevator didn't work the entire 4 days I stayed there, so I took the outside stairwell every time. The gym really sucked too. I don't think I'd stay here again. The people working there were all very nice however, so no shade on them.

Disappointing for a Hilton, but cheap. The surrounding area (Las Colinas) is very nice and walkable. The bedroom was nice and the breakfast was pretty good. Though I question whether all of the bedding was really changed because I kept smelling coconut when I was in bed, even though I don't use any coconut products. The room was not cleaned very well: there was either cereal or dog food on the kitchen floor that looked like it had just been swept aside. Counters weren't wiped down well. Water pooled on the floor outside one corner of the shower, causing mold to build up. None of the corners were cleaned well. There was water dripping from the top of the closet doorway (see video), which I reported and I don't think they believed me or cared.

Stayed here a week, family of 4. Location is really good, you can get to many places from here quickly. I’m a runner, so ran around the lake & area easily by stepping right out the front door of our room. Breakfast is really good for hotel style, many options. The A/C just went out the third night, around midnight, but they did place us in another room pretty quickly. The new room’s AC was running just enough to get us through each night, but we were out and about in DFW everyday until bedtime, so it was fine. Overall good experience. The staff was always helpful and friendly. The room layout could be challenging for anyone with disabilities, so if that is you, be sure to ask for a room with an easy entry.

Only good thing is the proximity to the Toyota Music Factory. This place needs a complete overhaul. Before I left for the show nothing really stood out. When I got back there was no parking near the building, I was in so I had to park a distance away. After I got in bed that is when I notices how musty and old this place smells. I have stayed in older hotels, but they did not smell bad. I turned on the overhead fan to see if that helped but not really. Come on Hilton you can do better than this. I also went to the wrong hotel prior to my arrival they offered their guests 2 bottles of water as Hilton Honors members. not here

The room is nice in size. Needs some maintenance. Couch has stains, Kitchen did not have a skillet or spatula for eggs/hamburger. Tub water handle is broken. Off is not really "OFF". Refrigerator door should be switched, but given the wall to door swing it cannot. Poor architecture design. Staff is friendly!

Cons: Not stroller friendly (would not be wheelchair accessible) although has pool side assist device. Large amount of stairs and turns depending on your room. Rooms are decent though the AC did not work very well for the hottest day that we stayed. There were no extra blanket(s) or pillow(s) in the closet for the pull-out couch. Pros: room is comfortable and decently spaced. Two televisions with variety of channels (including childrens’) and separated sink from bathroom. Includes fridge, dish washer, and freezer (w/ fridge) along with silverware and cups. Good hotel for families with elementary+ aged children or non-family travelers that is nearby vacation hot spots.

It was quick to get to from the highway. The room had lots of space. There was visible mold in the bathroom. It's built like apartments on a hill so we had to carry our luggage down multiple flights of stairs outside to get to our first floor room.

Came for a day to take my daughter to Epic Waters in Grand Prairie but stayed here. The customer service was phenomenal. The complimentary breakfast was amazing. The view from my room was beautiful. I assume it’s a canal or something where you can do boat rides and walk. I will be returning.
